The six-member band HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR announced on Wednesday that they have decided to break up, citing differences in their attitudes towards music and their goals for the future.
Hailing from Okinawa, the band formed in 2004 and released their first major label single the following year. In 2008, vocalist Maki left the group due to her marriage with DREAMS COME TRUE's Masato Nakamura, and she was replaced by a new vocalist named HALCA in March 2009.
The band plans to officially end their activities after the release of their next single, titled "Re:ache," on August 11.
