Suzune leaves AND

AND have announced that their drummer, Suzune, will be leaving the band after their performance on August 8th.

An Important Announcement

Thank you for your continuous support of AND.

As the result of countless discussions, we have decided that after our performance on August 8th at Takadanobaba AREA entitled 「AGENT Sougekki Shuukai ~ Bousou ~」 our drummer Suzune will be leaving the band.

We sincerely apologize to the fans who have been cheering us on and to everyone connected with the band for having to make this announcement and for the trouble it has caused.

Futhermore, due to Suzune leaving the band, we have changed the number of tickets available for our lives on August 7th and 8th at Takadanobaba AREA to 350 people. There are only a few left, however, the additional tickets are now on sale.

We have also added a second performance on August 8th at the same livehouse [Takadanobaba AREA].

There are only a few lives left until August 8th, however, as we will put all of our effort into these performances, we will be happy if you can support us.

In Suzune’s blog, he also posted the following comment regarding his decision:

I’m sorry for the unexpected announcement.

After our live on August 8th, I will be leaving the band.
Arriving at this decision, was the answer that I came to after seriously thinking about myself as a musician.
At first I was hesitant about it, but thinking about my future, I don’t want to lie to the members, everyone connected with the band, all of you who have been cheering me on, and above all to myself.
I started tihnking, Isn’t it wrong to continue on being in and if this is how I feel?
Throughout the tour, it was like I was looking for something, and as we went through our performances, I thought that if I talked to everyone, I’d definitely be able to find an answer.
So I did our tour with that in mind.
Honestly speaking, the feelings that I want to feel, I’m not having on this stage.
That’s how I felt.
I guess if you want to put it simple, you can say it’s “musical differences”.
But I want to make sure you know that everything I’ve done with AND, the music that we’ve created in AND… it hasn’t been a lie.
I want you to know that.
I’m really sorry to everyone who has been supporting AND.
I don’t want to make you sad.
I wouldn’t be able to stand it if I lie to all of you who have saved me time and time again.

There’s two months left.
I’m going to put all of my energy into what I can do.
I also feel like now, I’m searching for myself, and there I’ll find my answer.
So, please watch over my warmly.

Even though we’ll be taking different paths… even though the next time we meet will be on a different stage, I don’t feel like I have any regrets from these past three years of activity [with AND].
