Well, we got an explanation from Charles about why there was no CTFxC meetup like they had hoped at the Jon Stewart-Stephen Colbert Rally Charles, Alli & Melissa were attending in Washington DC - there was a massive Internet blackout. No cell phones, no texting, no Internet - BIG fail on the part of the InterWebs, so although Charles Trippy had planned on telling everyone where he and the girls were, they couldn't, but it still looks like it was an awesome time.
Loved all the signs and costumes they spotted in the crowd. And one dude found them and gave his YouTube channel - arandomkindofthing (go give Shane a shout out from CTFxC!). Of course there was also that total DB who interrupted them to make a snide comment about liberals and their skin. Alli TOTALLY called it right with that guy. And did you see the guy wearing the Rorschach mask? I half expected him to say "Never compromise. Not even in the face of Armageddon." lol.
Still the shots after dark were pretty cool too, with the Lincoln Memorial all lit up and Charles got a good quote from Lincoln: "Hey Charles! CTFxC FTW!" But they did meet up with a couple of youtubers, jeremyi and kxkevin12 - so give them a shout on their channels too. It was also interesting to see the spot where Martin Luther King Jr delivered his "I Have A Dream" speech. That's one thing about DC - massive history all over the place.

It seems that DaveDays is coming out with new songs just about every other week! Actually his most recent video was released about 2 weeks ago, see my post about What Does It Take.
And yes, that was Kimmi (last seen in Dave's Olive You video) and Sammah of "Do It Float?" fame hidin' out in the shower. Actually, Dave credits Sammah and Cyr for doing the filming.
This looks like it may be part of the Ecomagination Challenge and you have to like Dave's style: "yeah, we gotta turn the lights off baby. Don't you wanna save the environment?"

Tobuscus' Supernote & Toby Gets Some Sweet Lovin' From ST1RFRYTV
Toby Turner aka Tobuscus has a couple of channels on YouTube you must be subscribed to. Okay, he's got an armload of channels - there's his main channel, Tobuscus, where he has over 508K subs and he's about 62nd most subscribed of all time, but he also has his "Lazy Vlog" channel under his real name, TobyTurner (if that indeed is his real name...). That's the one the clip below is from:

He did his Supernote for Team Beard who it looks like will probably win the whole enchilada as it is down to it's last day and Team Beard is still in the lead (unless Shay Carl and his Shaytards Rebellionites can manage some last-minute heroics).

The Radio Shack dude didn't even seem to bat an eye at IJ when she asked for help looking for that cable. And loved the anguished looks to her sister Bree when he led her over to the cable section.

The Station's 2 Picks For Awesome Channels You Should Be Watching
I'm really liking this new feature from The Station on YouTube (actually this is from TheStation2, their 2nd channel). Your Genial Host With The Most is of course, Joe Felice and he features YouTube channels with less than 10,000 subscribers that viewers have suggested should be highlighted so they can be seen by more youtubers and others. First, take a look at Joe's video below for more info and then I'll post a video from both of the featured channels.
I've never heard of either of these two channels, so hats off to Joe and The Station for bringing them to our attention. This new feature is very clever on their part, but if you are subbed to Joe's channel, you know he has his insightful moments (I particularly love his political videos - need more of those Joe!) and he has been a great addition to the Station's crew in my opinion.
The first channel that they told us about is called thelittlefears who originate from Canada and currently have 1,955 subs but should be getting more. The only drawback is that although they have 32 videos posted on their channel, they haven't added anything new in 4 months. But it will take you some time to get through those 32 videos and maybe they can be convinced to upload more (subtle hint there). Take a look at one of their videos:
They also have a cool, spooky website called Creepy Pasta that you might want to check out.

CTFxC: Alli & Melissa Descend On Washington For Stewart-Colbert Rally
Looks like Charles Trippy will be heading over to Cape Canaveral later for the latest space launch, but first, Alli and Charles' sister Melissa go to Washington DC during the big Jon Stewart-Stephen Colbert Rally on October 30th. There was some talk of a mini-CTFxC gathering, but it looks like it was lost in the hoopla of the Stewart-Colbert party.
Have to agree with uber-gay Michael with his assessment of Melissa being gorgous - she's always smiling too which is another of her attractive features. Hey, if you aren't subscribed to Melissa yet, her Youtube channel is mel and she now has over 53K subs!
As far as Alli and Melissa's DC trip, it is always interesting to see all those monuments and buildings. I've never been there (yet), but I have always wanted to see Washington, the White House, Congress and the Smithsonion. Don't know why, but the Lincoln Memorial has always intrigued me - with a humongous Abraham Lincoln sitting in a chair staring down at you. Have to get some pictures of that some day.
It looks like Charles wants to put together a mini-Youtube gathering when they are in Washington which is cool. REALITYB1TES Hits 5,000 Subs
I'm always looking for newer Youtubers to feature on this blog and here's Lee (aka REALITYB1TES) who has racked up over 5K subscribers since starting his channel back in May 2010. He made the video below to thank his subscribers:
I subbed to him after seeing one of his earliest videos about Sleep Paralysis (his 2nd on this channel) where he did this super-creepy face morphing thing. You'll have to watch it because it is hard to describe (and was totally unexpected lol).
Lee has made a couple more videos since getting his 5,000th sub and now has 5,805 subscribers. He posts new videos just about every week or so and gets at least 1,000 views per video, and some have 4K-plus.
He describes himself as a "fun loving, quirky kind of guy" and that does come through in his videos. In his most recent video he talks about the panic in Singapore when there was a report of a bear roaming about, but it turned out to be just a dude in a bear suit doing a promotional video.

I have seen that women are used as economic commodities . in afghanistan i saw many women working whole of their lives and their fathers and brothers did not let them get married because they wanted to eat their sister and daughters salaries . my neighbour a proud pashtun had five sisters , all worked and he ate their salary and would not let them get married as in his eyes no proposal was suitable ! He was married and had five children but wont let his sisters get married !
my accountant a brilliant afghan lady worked whole of his life and her salary was gobbled by her father and brother a murgh baz ! Her father would find fault with every proposal of marriage that came for her !
her aunt also who died in the same house worked all her life as an air stewardess in Afghan Ariana Airlines !
She was stunningly beautiful but her greedy brother would say no to all her proposals for marriage beacuse she was seen a golden hen that laid golden eggs for her brother !
She died in the same house ! The first thing that her brother did after she died was to break her cupboards lock to retrieve dollars she had kept in there !
since she had worked in foreign firms in Kabul some foreigners also asked for her hand in marriage ! Her father dismissed this saying that her daughter would only marry an Afghan !
Some time later I met a relative of my accountants who did not know that I knew her ! In a casual conversation he revealed that my accountants grand father was a Polish engineer who married an Afghan lady in 1920s. So I discover that the proud father of my accountant was son of a Polish engineer , a deep family secret but wont let her daughter marry a foreigner !
In Pakistan at one time it was considered bad in some families if a woman worked !
Air stewardesses and nurses got few proposals ! Today it is other way but suitors of air stewardesses and nurses marry them on the condition that they would not leave the job after marriage ! That is they want to live off their wives salaries !
Dual standards are the norm ! A man I know is happy that his wife makes more than 100 thousand per month working at the American School but is deeply suspicious always about his wife having an affair at the school ! Dual standards par excellence !

I visited a house somewhere , cities are not important in my life scheme , countries are a conspiracy against the superior specie so not important ........I visit some one regarding business and it turns out that we were contemporaries , lived in generally the same neighbour hoods , joined the Forman Christian College in Lahore also known as FC College in November 1977.
I could find his face familiar but not his name ! Yet many of our friends criss crossed !
Tanvir Shaukat my class fellow in Cantt Public School Quetta in class ninth and tenth also known as Beera was his best friend ! Tanvir had left Quetta in 1976 and we had rejoined in FC College in 1977 November .He in the science section and I in the arts section.
Talha Saeed I met in FC College . A Close friend of Beera , they lived in old cavalry ground , an area where many beautiful girls lived ! I lived on Asad Jan Road , the old Jhelum Road !
Beeras brother had joined the juniour cadet battalion in 1977 ! The third course known as JC 3 and later known as 64th Long course. Asif Shaukat was a better than average , rather dynamic school fellow , a class senior to us ! A good sportsman ! I was sad to hear that he died an year or so .With him in JC 3 was another class fellow of mine Waqar from Saint Marys Academy Lalazar.Waqar was a fine gentleman , good background , courteous , a graceful personality.I met him after many years when a first termer in the military academy , while he was the seniormost fourth termer ! He recognized me and was most friendly and courteous ! He was company sergeant major of Babar Company and Battalion Sergeant Major after de-belting of the awesome and barbarian like Khalil ur Rahman Afridi !
Both myself and Khalil ur Rahman were commissioned in the cavalry ! Khalil became a good friend while we were serving at Multan in 1986-87 ! He later achieved some fame in a wild encounter with Iraniana Baloch drug mafia while commanding the Saindak Wing of FC in 1991 or so . He was shot in the shoulder and badly wounded I am told !
Another class fellow at FC College was the dashing , handsome Naushad Kiani ! We sat in the same class rooms and Naushad was the most handsome looking gentleman in FC College !
Also hanging out with Naushad Kiani was Pervez , another class fellow , not as handsome as Naushad but a sharp intelligent guy.Both joined 65th Long Course ! I met both when I joined the academy !
Naushad a true gentleman was most courteous and friendly ! I met him again on the steps leading into the command and staff college Quetta in July 1994 where I had gone to meet Colonel Naeem Phanna , a platoon commander of ours in the PMA and then an instructor ! Myself and Naeem Phanna were good friends ,having served in the same stations from 1983 till 1991 and having actually been colleagues in the tactical wing at school of armour Nowshera.Naeem rose to be a major general in the army. I am glad that Naushad is a general officer in the army ! Although one good man cannot change the corrupt system of this doomed country nose diving into decadence and chaos !
Pervez I am told is the CEO of the Uch Power Company ! Goes well with Pervez's modus operandi of being a smart ambitious person ! Although never a close friend I am glad that he has done well ! His brother Gulrez , some courses juniour to me and a colleague at the armour school in 1991 , although an extremely bright officer did not do well .Life has its imponderables and enigmas !
Pervez with his hang-ups was awkward and hostile ! It did not matter though ! Pervez as a Battalion Sergeant Major of 65th Long Course was ineffective ! Not abale to exert his fear of personality in the juniours , inters and uppers ! He was a dwarf in the art of bullying and ragging after towering terror personalities like BSM Khalilur Rahman Afridi or BSM Naseer Raja ( an old Formanite who I heard of but did not see).Also with us in PMA was Aamir of 64th Long Course and a class fellow at Saint Marys.Aamir was a great soul ! I did not see him after the 64th passed out in October 1981.
Now coming back to my old college fellow that I met after 31 years.
We recollected about Taimur Aslam son of Brigadier Aslam Dandy from the SP regiments , my class fellow at Saint Marys till he failed in class seventh , class fellow at FC College and course mate at the Military Academy ! A fine soul ! About Noman Kiani son of the famous Brigadier Jan Kiani probably a class fellow at Saint Marys Academy Lalazar ! Colonel Irfan Kiani a nephew of Brig Jan Kiani a senior in the army who has done extremely well in defence procurement ! Irfan Kiani is a fine gentleman from the old school !
He told me that Irfan was also his best friend ! I asked him if it was the dark Irfan who hanged out with Haneef Ramays niece and he roared with laughter ! That off course was the landmark recognition of Irfan ! Irfan played squash with us in Services Club Lahore .We were novices in squash then when compared with champions like Ateeq son of Brigadier Khalil (son in law of President Zakir Hussain of India and a class fellow of my grandfather in 1918).Ateeq was also a class fellow in FC College after having failed his class because of too much squash ! Ateeq now runs his advertising agency in Lahore and is doing well I am told .
So back to the college fellow ! The news report that he gave was that Talha and Irfan were now senior bankers and Beera was in the states !
The fellow was a cousin of a dear Jat friend and my quarter master in the independent squadron that I commanded and I was able to get his contacts !
We recollected memories of other friends and contemporaries like Saail Ishtiaq ,Nabeel Ishtiaq the asian games swimmer and Pakistani swimming champion , Sohail Anwaar the army squash champion with whom I shared an office for an year while serving as mechanical transport officer of an independent armoured brigade ! Nabeel was a dare devil Casanova whose list of clients was long and included the high and the mighty ! He made good use of my room in the old armour officers mess at the Benares Road in Lahore in 1990 ! His violent death in 1999 came as a matter of shock and grief to me in 1999 . He was a nephew of the famous writer Ashfaq Ahmad .
Life in those days was simple and defined ! Every one knew everyone ! The dirty money of Afghan war had not yet seeped in Pakistan like seepage of a gutter although it started doing so from 1979 !
This country became militarized ! Liberalism and finesse disappeared ! Lahore was overtaken by the noveau riche of the gulf labour money , the drug mafia , the property speculators !
All of us were scattered while pursuing careers or living lives of bankers , military officers , free booters and so many other professions !
Nevertheless it was nice meeting a person after so many years with whom you could relate something ! Some old memory ! Lahore cantonment remains a place of nostalgia always like Quetta where I spent a large part of my youth ! But more on Quetta later !
Tailpiece :-- Although not really relevant , in the course of remembrance of the past I gobbled more than half of the Johnie Walker Black Labels bottle of my host which it turned out belonged to his brother in law , a rich doctor ! NATO Carries Out Air Strikes Inside Pakistan

-Coalition officials said the cross-border attacks fell within its rules of engagement because the insurgents had attacked them from across the border. The Associated Press reported that a third strike inside Pakistani territory was carried out by two NATO helicopters on Monday.
KABUL, Afghanistan: NATO forces in Afghanistan launched two airstrikes against Taliban insurgents on the Pakistani side of the border, killing more than 30 people, military spokesmen confirmed on Monday.
The airstrikes, which took place last Friday and Saturday, were unusual because they involved piloted aircraft rather than drones, which are more commonly used to attack insurgents on the Pakistani side of the border, and which are normally operated by the Central Intelligence Agency.
Spokesmen for the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force initially denied any of its forces had launched the airstrikes, although they were confirmed by Afghan police officials.
On Monday, however, a statement from the international force confirmed the attacks and put the death toll at more than 30. Initially, a base close to the border in Khost Province, known as Combat Outpost Narizah, came under fire from insurgents on Friday. When what the military described as an "air weapons team" responded, they came under fire from the insurgents on the Pakistani side of the frontier and returned fire, killing at least 30.
When two helicopters from the international force returned to the area the next day, they were fired on again from the Pakistani side of the border, and again returned fire, killing several more insurgents, spokesmen said.
The Khost Provincial Police Chief, Gen. Abdul Hakim Isahqzai, put the death toll among the insurgents at 82 or higher. There have been no complaints of civilian casualties.
Coalition officials said the cross-border attacks fell within its rules of engagement because the insurgents had attacked them from across the border. Pakistani intelligence officials told The A.P. that the attack killed five militants and wounded nine others.

It appears that Yahoo, the popular email service provider, is combatting anti-Nato movements by threatening to close email accounts of anyone who is found responsible for simply forwarding an email to a group or any individual.
In a personal letter to Wfol.tv, Rick Rozoff of the Stop Nato group based in the US explained that his Yahoo group called Stop Nato, which is a collection of articles worldwide on the activities of the Western military organization Nato, said he is being victimized.
Rozoff expressed fears that the very future of two individuals exchanging news in emails could be prevented by Yahoo.
This could happen if any news group or organization presses Yahoo to take action against specific movements. Rozoff said: "My appreciation for your posting the material on the joint Military Times/Yahoo threats to Stop NATO. If they get away with something like this they can create a precedent for preventing any two individuals from emailing any news item anywhere in the world."
Indeed this would be a very dangerous precedent as it would stop the dissemination of information among friends and between groups and other organzations.
"If I copy and paste an article on any topic - say, gardening - and you forward it to another person and down the line somewhere it is sent to an email group - Yahoo tells me they can cancel my ID, which is to say my email address, the one I use to set up and moderate groups. They then de facto shut down all groups I moderate." Rozoff added.
"By the way, neither Military Times nor Yahoo wrote to me at the email address I used to set up and use to moderate Stop NATO; they wrote to me at another, one I usually use to post items." he said.

NATO Secretary General to Arrive on Thursday
Tbilisi: NATO Secretary General, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, will arrive in Tbilisi on September 30, according to the Georgian Foreign Ministry.
Rasmussen, who announced about the planned visit last week, will meet with President Saakashvili and Parliamentary Chairman Davit Bakradze. He will also participate in a ceremony of opening NATO liaison office in Tbilisi on October 1, Nino Kalandadze, the Georgian deputy foreign minister, said on September 27.
Situation in Georgia's breakaway regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia was among the issues discussed during the NATO-Russia foreign ministerial meeting in New York on September 22 in the context of conventional arms control in Europe.

NATO secretary general to visit Georgia this week
Tbilisi: NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen will pay an official visit to Georgia on Thursday to discuss cooperation issues, Georgian deputy foreign minister Nino Kalandadze said on Monday.
Rasmussen is due to meet with President Mikheil Saakashvili, Prime Minister
Nikoloz Gilauri, Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze and parliamentary speaker
David Bakradze.
Talks will focus on issues of bilateral interest which emerged during the
meeting of the NATO-Georgia Commission (NGC) held in June, Kalandadze said.
NATO and Georgia established the commission in September 2008, to oversee the organization's assistance to Georgia following the August conflict between Tbilisi and Moscow over South Ossetia, and to oversee Georgia's drive to join the military alliance.
"It is important that...we will have an opportunity to formalize all those
tricky and important issues with the secretary general," she said, adding that accession to NATO remains a priority in her country's foreign policy.
Georgia has long been pursuing NATO membership, but its bid was turned down due to pressure from Germany and France at a 2008 NATO summit in Bucharest. However, NATO has stated that the country will join at an unspecified date in the future.

As she noted, Rasmussen's visit to Georgia “is of an official character.

The intensity of contacts between the Russian and Chinese leadership meets "the interests of strategic partnership," President Dmitry Medvedev has said.
"This is our fifth contact this year," the president said at a meeting with Chinese leader Hu Jintao on Monday. The contacts will continue as they meet the interests of both countries, the Russian president added.
Hu Jintao responded by saying Medvedev's visit would have a powerful impact on the development of Russian-Chinese relations. The previous visit by the Russian president to China took place in May 2008.
In Beijing, Medvedev and Hu are discussing a number of international issues, including the situation on the Korean Peninsula and around the Iranian nuclear program.
Moscow and Beijing seek co-ordination of the stands on the peninsula problem, as it has escalated recently, the Russian president's aide Sergey Prikhodko told Itar-Tass news agency.
The two countries will also actively co-operate on the problems connected with the Iranian nuclear issue. Russian and China want the implementation of UN Security Council resolutions to be "aimed at returning the Iranian side to the fruitful co-operation with the world community and the IAEA," the presidential aide stressed.
China is one of Russia's most active partners in ensuring strategic stability, Prikhodko noted. According to him, the leaders will sign a joint statement on all-round strengthening of Russian-Chinese relations of partnership and strategic cooperation together with other political documents.

US seeks 1,000 more Afghan trainers: general
WASHINGTON — The top US military official in charge of training Afghan troops says he will ask allied leaders Monday for 1,000 additional specialized trainers in a bid to bolster security forces.
Lieutenant General William Caldwell said the trainers were key to speeding up the buildup of Afghan police and army....
"If we do not get the trainers we need, transition will be delayed," Caldwell told The Wall Street Journal.

"The specialized training in the months to come is going to be much more challenging and require a higher degree of education," he said, adding that he would ask allies for pilots to train Afghanistan's air force, doctors to train medics and European gendarmes to oversee police forces.
As part of his efforts to develop 15 different capabilities, he also plans to ask NATO to dispatch specialized military officers to help Afghanistan develop better intelligence analysis, logistics and equipment maintenance.
The move is part an effort by US and other allied officers to overhaul the once-beleaguered training effort.

Raytheon and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, under contract to the MDA and Japan's Ministry of Defense, are developing the next-generation SM-3 Block IIA missile, scheduled to begin flight testing in 2014. The company says the new missile will include larger second- and third-stage rocket motors and a larger kinetic warhead to provide a greater area of defense against sophisticated threats.

Each fall the Global Network Against Weapons & Nuclear Power in Space organizes Keep Space for Peace Week: International Days of Protest to Stop the Militarization of Space. These events are intended to help educate the public about the need to prevent the arms race from moving into the heavens.

The tests demonstrating MEADS' compatibility with NATO's MEADS were conducted during a Joint Project Optic Windmill evaluation in July, the company reported Monday.
The compatibility evaluation utilized the Active Layer Theater Ballistic Missile Defense Integration Test Bed being developed by NATO. NATO's ALTBMD program is structured to design theater-wide missile defense ABM systems that will include MEADS as a key component.
Lockheed Martin designed MEADS to be compatible with a wide range of platforms and command and control structures.
Commenting on the successful evaluation MEADS International President Steve Barnoske remarked, "Joint Project Optic Wind was an early opportunity to prove out the interoperability of the MEADS battle management architecture and its ability to serve as the integrating element for an air and missile defense task force. Open, modular software gives MEADS great flexibility to accommodate additional requirements."

Polish soldier killed in Afghanistan
Warsaw: A Polish soldier died Monday in Afghanistan from injuries sustained in a roadside bomb attack, the Defence Ministry in Warsaw said.
Sgt. Kazimierz Kasprzak, 32, was the 21st Polish soldier killed in NATO
operations against Taliban insurgents.
Kasprzak was injured when a roadside bomb exploded during a patrol in the
eastern Ghazni province. Kasprzak was airlifted by helicopter to a hospital in a military base in Ghazni, and later died during an operation.
Poland has some 2,600 troops in Afghanistan in the NATO mission, which it joined in March 2002.
Newly elected President Bronislaw Komorowski pledged in his campaign to withdraw Polish troops by 2012.

Polish soldier killed in Afghanistan
A Polish soldier has died after a land mine exploded under his vehicle in the south-eastern part of Ghazni province, Afghanistan.
32-year-old Sergeant Kazimierz Kasprzak was transported by helicopter to a
military base in Ghazni but died during surgery. He is the 21st Polish soldier to be killed in Afghanistan.

Sergeant Kasprzak leaves a wife and two children. He served at the 15th
Anti-Aircraft Regiment which are based in the northern Polish town of Goldap.

There are currently 2,600 Polish soldiers serving in Afghanistan. In August, Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski announced that Polish forces would withdraw from Afghanistan between the end of 2012 and final months of 2014, although an exact date will depend on the situation there.

Afghan civilian killed by NATO soldier: ISAF
NATO said Monday one of its soldiers had killed an Afghan civilian in the east of the country.
The alliance's International Security Assistance Force said it was investigating the incident, which occurred Sunday in Ali Sheng district of Laghman province.

President Hamid Karzai has also dispatched a delegation to investigate.
On Saturday, two civilians on a motorbike were killed by NATO troops after they refused to stop while driving towards a security barrier.
The incident took place in Musa Qala district....
The international force has been responsible for scores of civilian deaths, many of them killed during air raids aimed against insurgents.

ISLAMABAD: Calling it a violation of Pakistan's sovereignty, Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Monday assured the Senate that Afghan ambassador will be summoned to explain his position over violation of Pakistani territory by two NATO helicopters and an attack inside the country's border.
Responding to points of order in the House, Malik said two NATO helicopters, which had entered into Pakistan and killed 30 insurgents, had violated our territory. "This is an attack on our sovereignty. We will react soon and serve notice on Afghan ambassador", he told the House. Malik added that he will summon the Afghan ambassador to seek an explanation and lodge a protest.

Nato helicopters attack kills six in upper Kurram
PESHAWAR: NATO helicopter gunships attacked alleged militants in Matta Sangar area of upper Kurram agency.
According to sources, the Maqbal tribe lived in the area. Nato has also shelled the area before.
A Nato check post is located in the adjacent area in Afghanistan. Sources say that the check post was attacked by militants from the Pakistani side, therefore Nato attacked the area in response.
The Matta Sangar area is located at 12 kilometers west from Parachinar.

Another NATO airstrike in Pakistan, five killed
* Two NATO helicopters attack Mata Sangar area of Kurram

HANGU/BRUSSELS: At least five people were killed and nine others injured when NATO helicopters once again crossed Pakistani borders and pounded Kurram Agency, political administration and security sources said.
Security sources told the Daily Times that two NATO helicopters violated the Pakistani border and shelled the Mata Sangar area of Kurram Agency at 5am. The political administration confirmed the killing of five people from the Maqbal tribe.
Locals said that NATO choppers entered up to three kilometres into Pakistani territory and attacked the area. The Maqbal tribe strongly protested the incident and demanded the federal government take the matter up with NATO forces immediately.
An Afghan police commander reportedly confirmed that NATO helicopters had trespassed the border and attacked in the Kurram Agency area.
Meanwhile, in response to Pakistan's protest over the airstrikes, a NATO official said NATO's troops operating in Afghanistan have a right to self-defence. "ISAF forces must and will retain the authority, within their mandate, to defend themselves in carrying out their mission," he said.

US missiles kill 4 near Mir Ali
MIR ALI: A suspected US drone fired missiles at a house in North Waziristan on Monday, killing four people in the 20th such attack this month.
The house targeted was located in Khushali, a village near Mir Ali, said the intelligence officials, speaking on condition of anonymity.
The identities of the four people killed in the attack were not known....
