The tragedy was the role played by the various left parties and groups, who to one degree or another fostered illusions in Khomeini as a kind of "progressive bourgeois". This is what allowed the genuine workers' revolution to be derailed and replaced by a reactionary Islamic regime at the service of Iranian capitalism. [part one]

Inqilab-e-Kashmir Conference: Our Aim Independence! Our Goal  Socialism!A huge rally and conference was organised by the Jammu Kashmir National Student Federation (JKNSF) on June 24. The main beneficiary of the elections were right-wing forces gathered around the so-called Janata party. On the left the Communist Party of India, having supported Indira Gandhi's measures, failed to gain from the situation, and the Maoist CPI-M shamefully backed Janata.
