Shaytards: School's Out And The Shaytards Featured By Forbes Magazine

Yet another school year has now come and gone and it looks like the Shaytards are going to be heading back to California again before the next one starts. Today's video starts with the junior high "end of the year assembly" and a Cheerleader Flash Mob (with Carly in a cheerleader outfit). Sontard busts out the worm and a bunch of cheerleaders flood the gym floor for a dance.



Shay doesn't mention it during the video but he posted a link to an article that was written about the Shaytards in Forbes called ShayCarl’s Epic Journey To YouTube Stardom written by Michael Humphrey that tells Shay & Katilette's story about how they met and their success on Youtube. The article is just the first of six that Humphrey will be doing on various Youtubers. My guess is that he will be doing one of Phil DeFranco and maybe Ryan Higa or Ray William Johnson so keep an eye out for those.

Shaytards: Shay Goes To L.A. And Some Ecomagination Footage

So, once again, Shay Carl is off to La-La land to make some videos with theStation. He first has to say goodbye to the Shaytards clan he's leaving back home in Idaho. I think that the part with Rocktard smiling at the beginning was some of his best scenes. He's smirkin' and smiling like crazy. Then it's on the plane to California (Don't forget your camera this time Shay!)



And he almost forgets his camera on the plane again lol. Lucky for him he remembered it before he left the airport. Hopefully he doesn't forget his toothbrush again (he does that too). You sure can tell that Shay loves his wife and kids because he's only away a few hours and he's already missing them. Loved the part where he asked the parking lot guy "Where do I find a hot brunette who's married and has 4 kids?" IDAHO of course.

Before he left, Shay filmed a new challenge video for his personal channel, shaycarl for their Ecomagination challenge. Here's where you can find out what other prominent youtubers have submitted: Ecomagination ~ Tag Your Green.

Don't care what you say Shay, lil Rocktard is a cute bambino. Shay Carl is thinking that the Shaytards viewers are somehow tired of how PDP their tardlets are and Rocktard in particular (and Rocktard was giving Shay a big grin as he was trying to say this lol).



Good to see an appearance by Malachi, their dog. I've read several comments asking where Malachi was because he hadn't been seen much recently, but he always seems a little camera-shy. Loved hearing Babytard saying "Pump-kin-tard" when they were trying to name the pumpkin Katilette has been growing in their backyard.

What do you think about their tribute to the movie The Sound of Music? Should they take their act on the road? I'd like to see Mommytard doing a bit more singing in the vlogs, but ALL the subscribers say that.

And don't forget about the Supernote contest. The team Shay is the captain of, appropriately named the "Shaytards Rebellionites" is still in the lead, but Wheezy Waiter's "Team Beard" is narrowing the gap, so if you have not yet submitted a supernote video of your own, you can do so on Shay's iphone channel iphoneTARD.

Shaytards: Shay Goes Lingerie Shopping With 4 Tardlets

It looks like Shay's family has a bit of sibling rivalry just like every other family does because a teary-eyed Babytard was obviously upset about not getting to sit in the chair behind the driver's seat in the Shaytards' Shaytardmobile. She did agree to sit in the back with Sontard with little fuss or muss. Do you remember fighting with a brother or sister over stuff like who sat where in the car?



The clan stopped off at P.F. Chang's and for some reason, whenever Shay puts the camera on his Mom and brother Casey, they point at the ceiling. Don't know what that's about. Liked seeing Carli with Rocktard (sorry, but I love her blond hair and sorta drool a bit when she's on the screen - and she's a cheerleader, so 'nuff said).

Those water parks are fun and I knew Shay would put the camera over the water hole, but wasn't expecting him to dangle poor little Rocktard there lol. But later we see the Shaytards in a Barnes & Noble where Shay finds a ciopy of Beyond Viral by Kevin Nalty (that's nalts on Youtube and yes, I'm subbed to nalts too) but the cool thing about Nalts' new book is that he mentions Shaycarl and the Shaytards. I'll have to check it out too.

I think the funniest part of this video is a) Sontard's reaction when they go into the lingerie shop, and b) Shay's reaction when Mommytard disappears. Poor Sontard gets all embarrassed "Look! There's bikinis!!" Shay goes "Hey, Sontard, look!" lol. Later Shay has a similar reaction when it looks like Katilette is gone and he feels all pervy because he's a grown man wandering around a lingerie store with his kids going "Psst! Mommytard?" lol.

Once again we get to see the tardlets dancing - always love when they do this. And I had to laugh at Shay and his brother Casey's tearful, emotional goodbye as the Shaytards head home to Idaho (after a dip in the pool).

The Shaytards Clan Invades Frightmares

Shay and Mommytard are taking the tardlets to Frightmares at Lagoon for some more epic waterslide fun. First Shay starts talking about his high school cross-country running. I do believe he did run long distance. I used to do that back in the day when I went to high school, but unlike Shay, I loved it. But like Shay I did put on a little tonnage after graduating (since lost, thanks for asking).



Shay is riding shotgun and Katilette is behind the wheel for a change and Shay is filming Princesstard (Shay! Put your seatbelt on!) and the rest of the Shaytards are passed out in the back "catchin' flies" as Shay says. They are joining up with Shay's brother Casey and his wife, Shay's Mom and sister Carli and several other members of the extended Shaytard family and going to the amusement park I mentioned off the top. Never heard of it, but the website looks interesting. Mommytard mentioned that they "dress it up for Halloween" so the kids will like it.

Lol at Shay and his brother driving. "Don't tell me how to drive you idiot" Casey says when Shay tells him to go wide. "He may or may not have been touching my male reproductive organ" laughed Shay.

Then we see them at breakfast and Sontard busts a move while playing his harmonica right in the restaurant in front of all the other people eating. Sontard is a little showman lol.

Shaycarl's Elementary School Memories & Mommytard's Supernote

Those tomatoes are looking a little peaked Mommytard. She's got a little tomato grow-op in her basement so the Shaytards will have some veggies during the winter. Little Rocktard was looking a quite alert with big saucer-eyes while Shay was holding him too.



Shay and Katilette are taking the tardlets to a book sale at the kids' school and Shay wants to tell everyone about when he won the election for class president back when he was in 6th grade, but as usual, Shay is a little loud lol, so he'll wait til they are back in the car to go over the details.

Check out Rocktard at 7:52 of the video peeking out the facehole of the superhero - too cute lol.

"What do we do with books kids? We burn'em if they have ideas we don't agree with right kids?" Lol, and then Shay gets a series of disapproving looks from Mommytard. He's obviously not being serious on burning books folks.

So, while taking the girls to their dance class, Shay starts telling about his Grade 6 election as class president. He was all stylin' with his good suit and his hair all slicked back, looking every inch the image of a political candidate. You can almost picture a little beardless Shay (I'm assuming he didn't have a beard in 6th grade, but you never know lol) and he threw down his speech, mussed up his hair and put on a baseball cap and started rapping.

Like the part where they open the box from Colonial CandleCrafters and Mommytard's reaction to Shay flipping out sending a shower of styrofoam peanuts all over the van. Then Shay puts out a challenge to Wheezy Waiter about the Supernote Challenge. If you don't know who Wheezy is, make sure you check out his channel too.

Shaytards: Rocktards Growing Up & Shay's Whuppin' His Brother Logan

Okay Rocktard - SLOW DOWN on the growin' up thing!

Man, it seems like just the other day that Mommytard gave birth to the little guy and he's already bopping around in jolly jumper? Next week he'll probably be bouncing around on their trampolin! Lol at Shay, "He's gonna be re-financing his mortgage before we know it!"



Later we see Princesstard and Babytard doing some cheerleading with Shay's yummy sister Carli. Mommytard gets a few moments to reflect on how fast kids grow and that before she knows it, Rocktard will be 2 feet tall and running after Sontard and the girls through the house. Well, there's always the option of another tardlet (Shay probably shuddered as I wrote that lol).

Princesstard is really coming along with the jumps and leaps. It looks like she wants to do this cheerleading thing, while Babytard is just having fun running up to Katilette and looking over at her when doing the gymnastics. Too cute. Carli is really good with the kids and the ones helping her lift the girls in the air. It was funny when Carli was telling her "Straight line, straight line" and Princesstard says "I GOT IT!" You can almost see her in the teen years: Shay says "Be home by 9pm" and Princesstard "I GOT IT!" lol.

When Shay lays a beating on his kid brother Logan, he throws him to the ground and says he just sharted which almost made me choke on my cup of coffee lol. I gotta admit that was pretty sad looking excuse for a tomato plant in the kitchen when Princesstard was wearing the "sombrero".

It was good to see Sontard learning about the pitfalls of accepting candy from strangers. I think he's a pretty bright little guy, but it never hurts to see that. As a side note, have you noticed Shay always asks about what the kids learned at school that day? It's so easy to not pay attention to their lives at school and what they are being taught but Shay does seem to take a genuine interest in their education which is good to see.

Shaytards: Mommytard's Glitter Camera And North Carolina Sidetrip

Shay's back home and complaining about having to use Mommytard's camera because he left his flipcam on the plane. Personally, I think Katilette should get Shay some kinda chain to attach to his camera (and toothbrush too apparently) that locks onto his belt so the big guy doesn't lose stuff so much. Anyway, watch what happens. Love the opening with Shay chasing a giggling Babytard around.


Mommytard put some glittery rhinestone-type things in a cute girly design on her camera - as girls are known to do. I do see Shay's point, but guys are also known for losing stuff, as Shay seems to lose all his toothbrushes on his trips. Here's a point: next time Shay goes on a trip put a comment in his video to remind him to pack his toothbrush! I'll try to remember to add that in his comments too.

We get to see Mommytard and the tardlets during their recent trip to North Carolina kicking back and relaxing in a picnic area and then on the plane. Funny, but Babytard is acting more and more like Princesstard in front of the camera, making faces and being generally goofy, which is great. Lil Rocktard looked like he was about to start vlogging himself while they were getting ready for takeoff. Katilette and Shay sure do make some cute babies.

And then we find out that they all have different names: Mommytard is now Watermelon, Princesstard is Strawberries, Sontard is Mister Peppers, Babytard is Apples and Rocktard is Salad. Salad? An odd name, but Rocktard is an odd name too if you think about it.

They get home and there's Katilette's sister helping them cook supper. I don't know what Mommytard's sister's name is, so if you know, leave a comment. She's not Callie (as in calliemooremusic, her musical sister who also has a Youtube channel). That tomato sauce looked pretty tasty - they made it using tomatoes from (I believe) Shay's Mom's garden. Maybe the next channel for these guys should be a cooking channel. Mommytard showing how to cook delicious dinners and stuff. Just an idea.

Loved the ending as Katilette sneaks up on Shay arriving home. Oh yeah, and the girl playing the guitar at the beginning of this shaytards video is Michelle Leung, so be sure to check out her channel.
