After being given a shout out by Charlie McDonnell (he's a well-known youtuber charlieissocoollike in case he's not well-known to you), Elmify has decided to repay him by giving some shout outs of her own. And probably lying in wait when he emerges from the airport when he arrives in the States (in December according to Charlie).
I've been watching Elmify's videos since around July 2010 and always laugh at her vlogs. It seems like just a little while back that she hit 10,000 subscribers and checking her channel, she's up to 30K after getting the thumbs up from Charlie. So a big congrats to Elmify - 50,000 by the end of the year? And 100K by mid-2011? I say yes it will happen.
Elmify was given a shout out by Charlie because of a video he had originally watched when he first joined Youtube over 3 years ago called The Liker Chain (see the post on Bradshaw's Blog: Charlie McDonnell Pays It Forward To Other Youtubers for more) and one of the youtubers he mentioned was Elmify.
So she is returning the favor by giving shout outs to other youtubers that she likes:
keeporjot
lesliefoundhergrail
LizzieRadio
electricfaeriedust
I haven't heard of those folks except for Lesliefoundhergrail who I am subbed to already and I agree needs more subs. The others will get the onceover and I will try to get them featured on this blog as well.
I took a quick look at electricfaeriedust (because of the name) and I don't know if that's a scottish accent or not. Usually it's relatively easy to tell where folks are from in the UK by their accent (there's a wide variation in accents the further from London you head) but I could be mistaken. She's a cute 18-year-old girl with a high nerdness factor which is obviously a plus but I'll have to watch more of her videos and those of the others I haven't subbed to yet.
You should check them out too because one of them might become you newest favorite youtuber.

Charlie McDonnell Pays It Forward To Other Youtubers
I just finished watching this video by charlieissocoollike or Charlie McDonnell as he is known to folks IRL and he did a sort of mini "My YouTube Story" of how he began on YouTube back 3 years, 7 months and 1 day ago. Like many, Charlie stumbled onto YouTube and found an intriguing video. Flash forward to today and Charlie has decided to make a video like the one that made the light bulb go off in his head and highlight some of his fellow youtubers that he particularly likes:
I have to agree with Charlie on his choices. I've been subscribed to Wheezy Waiter since he had only 3,000 subs or so - he's since been "discovered" and now is getting gobs and gobs of new subscribers and sits at 223K subscribers. I watch Wheezy regularly (and post here about him all the time: check here for Wheezy Waiter posts on Bradshaw's Blog).
Also, I liked seeing Charlie's shout out to elmify who I am also stalking, er, subbed to. I've been subbed to elmify since about mid-July after she was given a shout out by meekakitty and John Green of the vlogbrothers. With elmify, I would suggest watching her videos from the first one - she is so funny! I have put up some posts on here about her, but not enough. Check here for more elmify posts.
I had no idea who BrettDomino is, but because Charlie gave him a shout out I had to check out his channel and that's a definite thumbs up lol! Brett, along with band mate Steven Peavis make all sorts of great take offs of popular songs. I just watched their versions of Lady Gaga's Bad Romance along with We Speak No Americano and that is some wacky stuff! If you haven't been to Brett's channel, go over and subscribe.
The last one that Charlie wanted to highlight is the channel his mom does called Liliesarelike. I didn't know that Mrs McDonnell had a channel (she's up to 14K subscribers herself) and you might enjoy checking out what she has to say.
The video that Charlie mentioned at the start of his video is The Liker Chain by 1938superman that you can watch below:
If you liked that video, you should make a video response and attach to Andrew's video or attach it to Charlie's (there's already 20 video responses to his video if you want to watch those too).

Elmify's Supernote and 40th Video Hoopla (No One Told Me There Would Be Hoopla)
Here's another addition to the Supernote Challenge. This time from elmify. If you are confused about what this "Supernote" business is all about, basically you film yourself holding a note for as long as you can and submit it to one of several "Team Captains." Elmify is on Meekakitty's Team Stashe.
And congrats to elmify for posting her 40th YouTube video. I remember back in the old days before all the fame and wealth when she was so much more down to earth and... Okay, she's still as goofy as ever and unchanged and I don't think she will become a diva, even if she (or her alter ego) launches "Elmify After Dark".
Oh and check out this video response made by blkfrhwk. It's a musical remix of some clips from elmify's channel.

Elmify Hits 10,000 Subscribers And Finally Joins Twitter
I just watched the latest video from elmify and she said she had just noticed she had hit 10,000 subscribers which is pretty awesome. It was just last month that I posted Elmify: One Of My Latest Favorite YouTubers and she had about 4,500 subs and now a month later she's got 10K. Good job. If you haven't seen her before, obviously watch the above video, but sub to her channel as well (at the link above).
Last month she talked about trying to get the "elmify" name on Twitter and finding it taken. At the time I told her to just use therealelmify or something else like that and she told me "she was on it." I guess she talked the person using the name to give it up anf now she's on Twitter as elmify, so follow her there too. Right now she has about 400 people following her Twitter account (including myself - follow me at Hey_Bradshaw).

Elmify: One Of My Latest Favorite YouTubers
I spotted a tweet by Meekakitty that all her subs should check out elmify who is relatively still new to Youtube. So, being the mindless drone of the redhead from New York, I thought I would check Elmify out. I watched the video above. Immediately subscribed. I thought she was quite funny and I'm sure you'll like her slightly warped sense of humour as well.
Elmify has 4,221 subs and will attract more. She has been on Youtube since September 2009 and has uploaded 28 videos. I just spend the better part of this afternoon watching ALL of them. She seems to be a bit of a natural in front of the camera and can jump easily between several versions of herself at different ages (she's 5, 11, 15, herself in the present, and herself as her own personal fantasy).
Poor Elmify as herself living her fantasy life unfortunately leaves alot for her to be desired because although she has realized her dream to appear on the television program Saturday Night Live, she is just a "featured performer" as opposed to a regular cast member. And her romance with SNL's Andy Sandberg has hit a bit of a snag as Sandberg doesn't seem to be reciprocating her feelings. It's like she's only a bit player in her own fantasy life.
Really watch all her videos from start to the present day and you will arrive at the same conclusion I have: I want more! She has a funny, sarcastic wit (that I love), that she usually turns onto herself and verbally spars with herself at different ages. Trust me, you'll like it.
Here's one of Elmify's videos from 4 months ago:
