Emma Watson doesn't get her flash out

The point of this post is not about the clothing. It's the statements versus the actions. The issue is this keen fashion sense all these years were a sham. Why even make such statements on your beliefs if it is not true? You really don't have to do that. Really her words never matched up to her actions on this. For the most part she did dress, classy and sophisticated in front of the camera but also looked sexy but there were times she went against her own stated fashion beliefs. Only recently has she changed her tune but at the same time she was sticking with her tune. Can we chalk this up for more , deception, contradiction and hypocrisy?

From nymag.com/daily/fashion Nov 2010 Women's wear daily magazine interview "She became visibly excited as she continued, “I mean, I just wasn’t allowed to do anything: wasn’t allowed to cut my hair, put on nail varnish, tan, wear a bra that made my boobs in any way look [larger], have any flesh showing, wear any makeup when I was playing Hermione. She looks too pretty, take down the blush or the mascara, take it off." (It's a kids movie to begin with. I guess the millions of dollars was not worth it.) From vogue.co.uk December 2010 "For nine years I was contractually obligated not to cut my hair, not to tan. All the normal things girls do" (Girls cut there hair but not all get an elf cut and not all tan)

From telegraph.co.uk Feb 2009 "My idea of sexy is that less is more. The less you reveal the more people can wonder.” From teenvogue.com July 2009 Teen Vogue magazine "It's very hard to describe your own style," she admits. "And I'm young, so I'm still experimenting. But I think it's quite British and very much about individuality." Emma says she prefers to pull her own party dresses, but even when she's short on time and must work with a stylist, she's careful to make sure that the resulting outfits don't look overdone. As she explains, "There's nothing interesting about looking perfect—you lose the point. You want what you're wearing to say something about you, about who you are."  How would you describe your style?  (Interview from Elle magazine April 2011)
"Quite classic and clean, but I have an adventurous side." (This is a contradiction in itself. You can't be both quite and classy but then adventurous. One cancels out the other every time.)

From movies.ndtv.com November 2010 The actress, who has just wrapped up filming the last Potter movie, also said she likes is not comfortable being called a sex symbol. "I find it odd to be described as a sex symbol myself. I mean - really? But of course it's flattering," she said. (Keep in mind a model for Burberry and now the face of Lancome is saying this) Does having short hair make you dress differently? (Interview from Elle magazine April 2011)  "I think it’s made me bolder in my fashion choices. It’s allowed me to dress more sexily". (Sorry but how does changing your hair style make you want to dress more sexy?) From telegraph.co.uk Feb 2009  (Full article for below quote HERE)"What’s sexy about saying, ‘I’m here with my boobs out and a short skirt…have a look at everything I’ve got’? My idea of sexy is that less is more. The less you reveal the more people can wonder.”

No more Potter means no more "less is more?"
From dailytelegraph.com. Nov 7th 2010 Despite regularly dazzling on the red carpet and gracing the covers of some high-end fashion magazines – among them the Christmas edition of British Vogue – she describes her own fashion philosophy as “simple is better”. I’m a less-is-more person,” she says.

From digitalspy.com October 2010 "Actually, I'm quite shy, I've never liked attention and money. I feel myself a little bit like Finding Nemo's Dory - I just keep swimming and don't turn around to watch the mess."

Emma Watson - Finch And Partners' Pre-BAFTA Party - ArrivalsEmma Watson Emma Watson wears a low cut blue dress as she arrives for a pre-BAFTAs party at the Box nightclub in the red-light district of Soho. Emma was wearing some seriously "bling" cuffs and carrying a sparkly clutch bag as she wandered past the seductive adult sex shops on the way to the party as Emma had a little glance at the naughty sign posts. At one stage, an unidentified man started a confrontation with the actress's security and grabbed him as they walked along. Another man made an attempt to grab Emma, b ut she seemed completely unfazed by the fuss she was causing in the neon streets of Soho. Later on, outside the party Emma's ex-boyfriend George Craig (from the band One Night Only), waited patiently with the forming crowds outside the party. After leaving the party photographers were literally falling over themselves to get a picture of the "Harry Potter" star. On the way back in her Rolls Royce, Emma got police escort back to her hotel where another photographer took a tumble trying to get pictures.

This one below from the night before is a very nice one (I like it) but it just didn't show enough skin for this sexual risque nightclub she was going to. That had many bigtime producers on hand I might add.

From telegraph.co.uk Feb 2009 "Miss Watson currently filming the final instalment of the Harry Potter series, believes less is more and that paparazzi would never catch her stumbling in the gutter "with my boobs out and a short skirt". What’s sexy about saying, ‘I’m here with my boobs out and a short skirt…have a look at everything I’ve got’? My idea of sexy is that less is more. The less you reveal the more people can wonder.”

Notice how her friends are dressed nice and Emma is looking all trashy

From mirror.co.uk/celebs/news/ Be sure to  trust your instincts Emma Watson warns that well-meaning friends can be fashion enemies. "If you’re not feeling what you’re wearing or if you’re not sure, don’t wear it," advises the Harry Potter star. "Even if your friends are like, ‘Wow – it looks great!’, just don’t do it!"

From emmawatsonclub.com “It was pretty tough turning 18. I realised that overnight I’d become fair game. I had a party in town and the pavements were knee-deep with photographers trying to get a shot of me looking drunk, which wasn’t going to happen. I don’t have to drink to have a good time. The sickest part was when one photographer lay down on the floor to get a shot up my skirt. The night it was legal for them to do it, they did it. I woke up the next day and felt completely violated by it all. That’s not something I want in my life."

For some reason I think this was planned. She knows the drill. She is trying so hard to shed this HERMIONE image with talks of  "NAUGHTY", "TAKING MORE RISKS ", "HAVING MORE FUN " and don't forget her PIXIE CUT

Remember that Twilight sells SEX and not Emma

From tjformaldresses.com (December 2010) She told Marie Clair magazine, "I don't get my flash out. I mean, I wear "minidresses", but I try to do it tastefully. You don't want to see too much," she told the news source. "I think it's so much sexier to be understated. It's more intriguing to be sexy in a less obvious way." (Really?) That comment is one reason why the media and people like her in general. This is one of many virtuous comments she always makes only for her to go against it, but still keeps her perfect, innocent and breath of fresh air image that is beginning to look like an act if you read all my blog. From telegraph.co.uk Feb 2009 (quote about mini dresses I told you to look for) “Then there’s the choice of clothes. I know everyone wants a picture of me in a "mini-skirt." But that’s not me. I feel uncomfortable. I’d never go out in a mini-skirt.

NOW ABOUT THOSE MINI SKIRTS  (some history)

Curious is this not a mini skirt for her 18th birthday that predates the above quote? And the next one from forums.superiorpics.com/ 2007 with quote from same year. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

From people.com Feb 2007 "I find the whole concept of being sexy "embarrasing and confusing."

From dailymail.co.uk April 2009 "She only hit legal drinking age less than a year ago, but Emma Watson is rapidly making a name for herself as one of London's most prolific party girls. She told the Mail on Sunday's Live magazine: 'I’m not tempted by parties or drugs. I don’t actually like being DRUNK, particularly in public. Her choice of short dress last night contradicted a recent claim by Emma that she'd 'never go out in a mini-skirt. When she finally left at 2.30am, she was wrapped up in a coat and scarf with her formerly pristine hair hanging in front of her face."

(I don't see anything wrong with this mini dress. I like it. It's her hypocritical actions. One of many I might add.)

From uk.msn.com November 18th 2010 "I've always had a strong sense of self and my convictions"

From iheartwatson.net/ Sydney Morning Herald July 2007 "Talking about her similarities with Hermione Emma said, “We’re both feminists, we’re both very stubborn, both very determined" (Fast forward to present day with the feminist thing and it's laughable. Feminists are not models. They don't use their T & A. They use their brains. But what can you say many women/girls these days are confused to what feminism really is)
