real men prefer good ads.



this is just one of the ads produced by ashton kutcher and demi moore in their bid to combat the new celebrity cause, sex trafficking. and if you're a pimp buying girls from impoverished backgrounds and you see this on youtube while looking for your favourite ashton moment from punk'd it's going to make you think twice about the fact that you are a cold heartless criminal trading in human misery.

the other ads feature sean penn making cheese on toast with an iron, bradley cooper pouring milk directly into cereal boxes and other "real men" doing quirky things that don't really make sense in the context of stopping sex trafficking. these all play like adverts where men are doing things that their wife 'should' be doing for them because they forgot her birthday or something. and then it turns out to be an ad for diamonds.

and can we please discuss for a second their definition of a "real man". on the one hand they include bruce willis, demi moores ex husband, which i find hilarious. but on the other hand they feature piers morgan who is the very model of a sleazy business man who would frequent "massage parlours". everything about this campaign is wrong, except the message, which they fail to put across.
