I don’t really need to type up an opening statement. Tell me if you see hypocrisy or decpetion and any contradiction that would go with the overall premise of this blog. I've noticed while setting up this blog when Emma says she believes in something she eventually does the opposite. This is one example of many I have so far in this blog. She can do whatever part she wants but this stuff below is more why she is media hyped and self created as I said above. Pay attention to the bold print. Just read. It's simple =)
What is Perks of being a Wallflower about? Perks of being a Wallflower is about a teenager who goes by the alias of "Charlie" he describes various scenes in his life by writing a series of letters to an anonymous person, whom he does not know personally. He befriends Patrick and Samantha (EMMA WATSON); Seniors who are step-brother and step-sister. They take Charlie under their wings and introduce him to sex, drugs, rock and roll hard-partying ways of life and their friends, and Charlie really starts to begin to enjoy his life. Sam becomes his first love. The storyline has suicide, difficult/abusive relationships, drug use/smoking, sex, abortion, child abuse/trauma, the struggles of homosexuality, and the awkward times of adolescence.
The flip. From nydailynews.com Nov 2010 "I'm not going to get my kit off or snort cocaine in a film, just to leave Hermione behind," Watson said of the role she has played since 2001 and will reprise for the final film in the franchise, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," next week. The British starlet added that she's not "so paranoid or insecure" that she needs to shock others in order to convince them she can play a different role." The Flop. From post-gazette.com June 2011. Although Ms. Watson, now 21, was dead set against more high school roles, her agent pressed the script on her, and the actress fell in love with it. "Once she and I met, we both knew in each other we had a kindred spirit," Mr. Chbosky (author of book and director of movie) says. In January, she made the rounds at LA (Hmm, that's whre Johnny Simmons resides as well) studios to plead the case for "Perks." Summit Entertainment, the studio behind "Twilight,"
The author of the book was at a Slipery Rock university (PENNSYLVANIA) in October 2010 (a month before above quote) and confirmed HERE that the two stars In perks were going to be Emma Watson, ("Harry Potter" series) and Logan Lerman, ("Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief").

Emma Watson Hi everyone, I just wanted to let you know that the rumours are true - I'm going to be playing Sam in "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" opposite Logan Lerman. Love Em xx February 10 at 10:25 am. Are you afraid of always being seen as Hermione? "Maybe it's ignorance, naiveté, but I really am not. I don't have this intense fear or a desire to separate myself from the role. I'm really proud of the work I've done. I'm a geeky Harry Potter fan myself, so it would be stupid to try and fight it." From www.khaleejtimes.com July 18th, 2011, “Perks of Being a Wallflower is a little movie,” she continues. “It’s about a character called Charlie (Logan Lerman), and he befriends Sam (Watson) and Patrick (Ezra Miller), who are siblings. He’s an outsider, and it’s about his journey with them and how their friendships help them through different experiences. It’s a complicated story line, but it’s really funny in parts and really sad and dark in parts. “It’s very different from Potter,” Watson says, “which is what I wanted."
QUOTES FROM EMMA IN THE PAST ABOUT THESE TYPES OF ROLES: From entertainment.oneindia Feb 2009 "I have no plans to do anything for the sake of it, or to shock people," she said. "I might be willing to take my clothes off for a Bertolucci film, if it was a part that really made sense as part of my character. "But I wouldn't do it just to make a point, to move on from Hermione. I'd hate to be so tactical. I'm not just getting my knit off for anyone," she added" From chinadaily.com May 2007 "I'm not a rebel. I usually do what I'm told. But I don't think it is worth playing the role of a teenager who wants to rebel against the world. To be honest, that's my worst nightmare. Auditions are really hard and being rejected is always a bad experience. But I'll keep trying."
From uk.msn.com November 18th 2010 "I've always had a strong sense of self and my convictions."
