I'm not too bothered by the Glastonbury line-up. I did it once and the line-up was amazing, but this year, it doesn't really float my boat. However, The Cure at Bestival is going to be fucking amazing...... [providing Robert Smith isn't too fat and old]. Camden Crawl is looking good, especially if Odd Future are going to play, but that gig will be packed out, and pretty much inaccessible. No harm in trying. I haven't taken much notice of all the other festival line-ups yet, it doesn't quite feel like the festival season yet.
Reading line-up is looking better and better.... but that's always a festival I do last minute, generally because of the 16 year old brats that run around pissing on peoples tents; It gets to a point and I'm like fuck it, I'm going, but if i think about it too much, then it seems like too much effort.

Assorted thoughts.
Odd-future at Camden Crawl is a really big coup for the organisers as are the Lemonheads
2.54, Giggs, Mazes, Hudson Mowhawke and Fiction would be the one’s I would seek out given that you can’t fucking move at Camden Crawl.
I think Saturday night on the main stage at Glasto could be shaping up as one of the wettest, whitest and worse musical experiences in living memory; bringing together as it does Paulo Nuttini, followed by (the unfathomably lauded) Elbow and “climaxing” with Coldplay. Dire.
However, I’m certainly no hater and it is still unquestionably the best line-up of music on the planet. I think Beyonce is a brilliant shout, as are QOTSA (although them being on at the same time is a necessary evil). The thing I don’t get with Glasto is how they do their listings. I get it that bands can only play (owing to availability) certain days or times but how the Horrors aren’t worthy of a place higher up the bill lord only knows.
This clashing thing is completely and utterly necessary. I really don’t know how else you’d do it. They need to be opposed in style. If they had for example Jay-Z on one stage and Snoop on the other that would be a legitimate complaint but they don’t. Because the festival is a festival and not just a collection of gigs a consistency of partying and gig going needs to be reached. You can’t have massive acts on in the afternoon because it wouldn’t be the context in which they deserve to be seen.

Above all I am looking forward to going to Bestival. I had an amazing time last year and the line up this year is INSANE. I can’t believe that I am going to get the chance to see The Cure as well as The Maccabees, Kelis, James Blake, Norman Jay and of course The Village People. Aiming to be a little more prepared this year, sleeping four girls in a one man tent last year was not the brightest of ideas.
I haven’t got a ticket for Glastonbury though most of my friends have, if someone wanted to buy me one then I would happily go but I am not going to cry about the fact that I didn’t get one. Its a long festival so therefore (mainly because of my eating habits) super expensive. The line-up this year is alright but not the best. Now if Prince were headlining...
Leeds/Reading aren’t really festivals that I would consider going to, I definitely think of them as attracting a younger market. I don’t think of them as bad festivals particularly, I definitely wouldn’t group them with the likes of V but I would never consider buying a ticket. Looking at the line up for Leeds, there are definitely a few bands who I would go and see but no one that I am enthralled by.

I went to Wireless the other year. The Streets were on one stage and overlapped with Dizzee who was headlining, by 20 minutes. I stayed to watch The Streets, purely because they're more to my taste and more relevant to me. They were a band that changed my view of modern music at the time so it saddened me hugely when a massive amount of people left the arena mid set. Why would you do that?! Ridiculous.
Glasto: Completely agree with Shaun on the Saturday night main stage situ. Not only does it sound wet and white it sounds massively depressing and not the uplifting, which a Saturday night main stage surely should be. People I'd actually fork out a ticket for would be The Wu, Jimmy Cliff [just to hear 'The Harder They Come' live, amazing], The Streets and DJ Shadow. Not a huge amount of interest in the others though Beyonce is a good shout, Cee-lo Green is relevant and heard he's pretty good live and puts on a good show, other than that I'm not thrilled or excited by much of it.
Camden Crawl: OFWGKTA, that is all. First UK live performance. Amazing, I'd buy a ticket for the Sunday to see them and only them. That's fucking historical to be at their first UK gig. Amazing. Other than that Giggs is great, Toddla T always good fun. Oh and of course my friends band Bones who are playing, didn't know til' now. Nice.
Leeds: I would NEVER go to Leeds or Reading, the thought of it is just not my thing at all. The line-up to me is a load of bands I was into when I was 17, not interested now. Seeing The Deftones live for old times sake would be pretty sick, Madness for the novelty kind of factor and again The Streets. other than that, not excited by the list of bands at all. Soz.

Definitely never been to a big ol' festival in my life. Not the most knowledgeable about these things, little ol' me.
Glastonbury: It shocked me that Beyonce was headlining. Weird, but weird in a good way. She's a performer. Big fan - will bring some unashamed jazz hands and happy commercial fun to the festival. Love the fact Janelle Monae is also there - again, amazing performer, can sing, dance and her songs are actually sick too.
Camden Crawl - Odd Future's 1st UK appearance as a collective will be nuts, especially as every man and their dog knows about them now. Their appearance will be nuts and totally overshadow everyone else there and probably start a riot. Exciting.
Leeds - I am grown-up enough to know I am not musically cultured enough to appreciate this. Woo go OFWGKTA and Muse.

I’ve never been to a festival as of yet but from looking at the camden crawl it looks like they’ve got it on lock, Hudson Mohawke, P Money, Giggs, SBTRKT and Odd Future to trump along with new comers such as GhostPoet. It looks like a very good mix of acts, don’t think I’ll go though camden’s not really my thing.
Glastonbury looks like an amazing mix a lot of the same acts from the Camden Crawl appearing as well. I love me some Big Boi, Aloe Blacc and Little Dragon. I can imagine I’d go to the east dance tent but then leave after a while because urban-pop kills me after a while. I would love to see a Mos Def but they’ve got wu tang on the list so I guess they’ll be forgiven.
I don’t know how leeds got Odd Future and Glasto didn’t, and apart from that there’s no one else who I’d care to mention.

Glastonbury does it for me... Beyonce is a great shout, ultimate crowd pleaser.. Love that I could go see some childhood guilty pleasures like Jimmy, as well go and support newer, more local names.. Ultimate dilemma on the stage clash's though..
Camden appeals to me, as it's local.. But other than to see to see the likes of Dels and Giggs, I'm not awfully excited..
Leeds has never appealed to me really.. yea it's got some good acts, but I don't know why you wouldn't just go to Glastonbury.

I am a big festival fan, and will be going to Glastonbury for the first time this year. I am very excited, but have not been overjoyed about the lineup this year. Whilst U2, Coldplay and Beyonce are certainly MEGA acts, they do not excite me one bit. I wanna hear big guitars going mental as the final act of the weekend, hence why I will not be at the Pyramid stage shaking my shapely bum to Beyonce, but at another stage moshing to Queens of The Stone Age. Why? Because thats what I love about festivals, getting drunk, getting messy and getting muddy. I don't think the headliners will bring the beast out in me. I have been trying not to look at the lineup for other festivals I know I will not be attending, as my budget dictates that Glastonbury will probably be the only festival I attend. I don't want to feel like those unfortunate souls who bought an iPad the week before the iPad 2 came out. The grass is always greener and all that shite, and I think what Glasto lacks on the main stage will be rectified on the 'other' stage. In terms of 'clashing, yeh there’s been some beasts, 2008 glastonbury had Jay-Z and Massive Attack on at the same time, in 2007, Chemical Brothers and The Who were on at the same. I was not there, but would have been torn....Massive Attack and The WHO Would have prevailed I'm sure.

I agree with Shaun, Beyonce is a good shout for Glasto as is Wu Tang, but why is Plan B up there? The entire West Holts stage line up makes me particularly excited but thats all my favorite types of music. Dance Village sounds good too.
I suppose festivals always try and attract as many people as possible by creating multiple stages with multiple themes, but of course these genres and festival goers tastes overlap. Therein lies the problem.
