For those who were watching the 2011 Grammy Awards <--(link to the Grammy winners on the Website), there is a new channel on Youtube that you can check out some of the clips from the show. Take a look at Grammys2011.
The clip shows Arcade Fire winning for Album of the Year and was presented by Barbara Streisand and Kris Kristofferson. There are a lot of clips, like Justin Bieber and Usher's performance (shown below) as well as Eminem's winning for Rap Album of the Year.

Top 100 Most Subscribed Canadians On Youtube
I've been promising to provide an updated Top 100 Most Subscribe Canadians list for some time and finally, here it is. As you may know, I also have made a top 100 list covering the UK, and I will be posting ones for Australia, Ireland and several others because each of these countries deserve to have their best (not just most subscribed) shown some support.
And nothing wrong with getting a backlink on the Internet even if it's from my lameass blog right? That's one of the reason I do this - to give those hardworking folks a heads up that, yes, there really ARE people watching!
So, who are the most subscribed Canadian Youtubers as of January 15, 2011? Here is the list of those Canadian YouTube channels with the highest number of subscribers and compared to where they were on the last update (July 2010 - man, I have to update these more often!).
It is probably no surprise that heading the list is Justin Bieber's kidraul channel given his huge fan base. Actually, the first 4 are all on the worldwide Top 100 Most Subscribed List.
1. kidraul - Surprised? Bieber has been the number one most subscribed Canadian youtuber for a long time now and it is doubtful anyone is going to knock him off the top of the heap anytime soon. I for one am getting a little bit tired of the over-saturation of all things Bieber-related but the kid from Stratford Ontario just keeps chugging along.
2. pyrobooby - Peter Chao just may be the only one who might rival Bieber for the most subbed in Canada, but he has a long way to go before he knocks off Bieber. He would have to get double the subs he currently has and the meantime Bieber continues getting a lot of new subs every week. Choa is known as The Chinese Guy on YouTube with his exaggerated thick accent conbined with massive attitude. Straight outta Vancouver, Chao has a bit of a potty mouth, but he can be very funny. His 2nd channel, The Chao Nationis also doing good and is the 15th most subbed in Canada with a further 182,430 subs.
3. jonlajoie - Jon Lajoie slipped a bit in the top 10, but still has been killing it with his videos. Check out his most recent about Retaphin! Not Just For Those Who Need Retaphin. That Bradshaw's Blog post also includes WTF Collective 2. Awesome.
4. FLuffeeTalks - FLuffee's videos mostly have him sitting in front of his camera (wearing his black toque with "FLuffee" on it) and discussing oddball news items. Better than it sounds like actually. He's number 81 worldwide on YouTube and about to get his 500,000th subscriber. Fluff was just about to get his 400K sub last July, so that's a sweet improvement. Check out his 2nd channel ThisisFLuffee, with a further 100,342 subscribers. That one is up to number 41 in Canada although it's been 4 months since he uploaded to that channel.
5. trailers - This is the VEVO channel for Bieber and it has leapt up the charts and now sits 5th. Personally I don't really like all the various VEVO channels that are encroaching the top of all the different charts. A little too corporate for me. But they are getting views and subscribers, so they have to be included. I would suggest in most cases that you sub to the artist's personal Youtube channels (if they have one that isn't just for announcements or releases).
6. charliejames1975 - This channel features the incredible Zuzana and you've probably found her channel because of the hot thumbnails of Zuzana working out. After actually watching her you realize that she is a serious trainer and in absolutely fantastic shape. Really, you could shred lettuce on her abs. I dare you to stop watching for the hotness factor and try to keep up with her as she does her exercises. If you want a body like that, it takes a lot of hard work.
7. trailers - as it's name suggests, um, trailers. This is the Official Viso Trailers channel. Good if you are looking for trailers.
8. KlassicMaster - This is the Youtube channel of Mike Kalombo, an extremely talented musician/producer. Somehow Mike's channel slipped under my radar, but no more. You need to go check out his tunes. I didn't even have KlassicMaster on my last list of the top 100 Canadians and BOMB here he is dropping in at number 8! I'll be putting up a feature about him channel later this month.
9. ahmirTV - Talented. I am always willing to give channels like this a big thumbs up. If you have not heard them, give this a listen: Just The Way You Are (AHMIR cover). The R&B quartet were signed by Robbins Entertainment in September 2010. Their Youtube account says they are "The Number One R&B Group on Youtube." Yes, yes they are.
10. jeyyounit11 - Jeydon Wale's channel. I don't usually slam too many channels but this is just incredibly bad. Wale stopped posting videos a while back but is posting them again. Personally I think there is nothing wrong with being goofy, but this is really lame.
Wale is 19 years old (almost 20) and he's doing stuff that you do when you are 13-14 years old and that seems to be where his audience is - primarily tween girls as the majority of comments seem to dwell on how "dreamy" he is and asking him to marry them. Hopefully he will mature a smidge and evolve beyond this type of humour. When a guy gets to his late teens and early 20s and attracts primarily very young female fans by acting like a little kid it starts getting a little creepy. He has been getting more subs but thankfully this channel is slipping out of the Top 10 as it was 6th most subbed back in July 2010.
One of my pet peeves is that there are some channels supposedly based in Canada (Avril Lavigne springs to mind) that block their content to those who live in their native country. I think that if that is the case they will be blocked from the Top 100 list when it is next updated because it is not truly a Canadian Youtube channel.
MrChaoNation is Pyrobooby's 2nd channel and he's had a big jump in subscribers since last July. Notice that there are a couple more new channels listed in this part pbpproductions and Avril Lavigne) that were not even on the list 6 months ago which shows there is plenty of room for upward movement.
Nickelback's Youtube channel suffers just as big a FAIL just like Avril Lavigne's because their record company doesn't allow access to their videos if you live in Canada. It would be like U2 being denied in Ireland (not that I'm comparing Nickelback to U2), or Katy Perry being denied to UK fans. I think that the next time I update this Top 100 Canadian youtubers list that if the channel content cannot actually be accessed by Canadians the channel will be left off the list.
With NHLVideo, you get exactly what you think ~ all hockey highlights, all the time. As a Canadian male I think you're automatically subbed when you get a Youtube account. Simple Plan's channel has music and stuff, but nothing new for about 7 months. If you are interested in learning Jiu Jitsu, you need to check out Submissions101.
Another abandoned channel? No content on Drummerboy00 since April 2010. Anytime a video starts with the warning that "concentrated sodium hydroxide is very corrosive so wear gloves when handling it", you have my attention. Science experiments are what you'll find on NurdRage.
Nothing new on number 81 Telner's channel in 9 months and counting. It is not really my thing, but pr3ttykitty1337 seems to be getting a lot of subs with videos about the family cat. With LinusTechTips (number 91), it is just like the name says - tech tips from Linus. He knows his stuff. And check out Bobby Crispy's channel if you have any interest in learning to play the guitar. Crispy knows his stuff and posts new content all the time.
It's a shame about PurchaseBrothers abandoning their channel. Another account that has not been updated for about a year. It has only 5 Videos, but awesome content. Unforgiven11? No new videos for 2 years, but he gets new subs? His last video was about stalkers. Makes you wonder what evil fate befell him.
As you can see, to make the Top 100 in Canada, you need to have at least around 40,000 subscribers. Just 6 months ago, all it took was around 30K so the bar keeps getting raised. That shouldn't discourage you or anyone else from trying to get in the Top 100 and becoming a Youtube Partner. Just upload unique interesting content. People are watching and the Youtube website is continuing to grow by leaps and bounds and there is a place for you on it.
Also, I should mention that there are lots of people who don't make that cut, but who are making great content and need to be seen. Even though this is a Top 100 List, I still review youtubers with just a few subscribers too.
And nothing wrong with getting a backlink on the Internet even if it's from my lameass blog right? That's one of the reason I do this - to give those hardworking folks a heads up that, yes, there really ARE people watching!

That's the Top 10 for Canada, but there are a LOT of other equally good or better channels the further down the list. With the 3 new channels in the Top 10, 3 channels had to drop out and those are lisalavie1 Lisa is an incredible singer still a solid number 12 overall. I wouldn't be surprised to see her slip right back into the top 10 shortly.
Game channels are all the thing, but somehow TehNoobWorld only increased by about 14,000 subs. Probably because the channel doesn't do game play or reviews but is trying to do voiceover and storylines which is done better on other channels. Only really interesting for those immersed in the game they cover. It gets old really fast unless you are fully immersed in the gamer world, but it seems that these dudes need to get out and gets into the sunlight and meet some chicks. Finally, there's shimmycocopuffsss aka Daniel Shim who dropped to 14th overall in Canada. At first and maybe even 2nd glance you'd think "gay dude", but Shim says he's "just some random straight Asian guy who cares about fashion & looks as equally as a girl or more. Hey folks, it's called being metrosexual." Shim's 2nd channel ShimmyHeartsYou slipped a bit to number 62 but gained 22,000 subs and sits at around 71K subs.

I should have featured Janick Thibault in that feature on this blog called "Under The Radar". A lot of talent here and he's just 16 years old? Original music written and performed by the artist/singer is ALWAYS better than slick, packaged, bland music that they are always trying to push on teen girls.

This is particularly funny if you are a Black Ops player as you get all the action with a parody of 70s Toto music. "Let's bring the pain down in Aricaaaa"

Most Subscribers This Past Week
There are the channels based in Canada that have received the most new subscribers. Of course the ones that seem to have received the most are the ones concerning Justin Bieber. You may notice that Bieber's VEVO channel received 2x the number that his personal channel "kidraul" received. Usually I suggest that people sub to an artist's personal channel because they get all the benefits from getting more subscribers to their own work rather than one of channels owned by the record companies, but since Bieber's channel is already the most subscribed in Canada, it doesn't matter really in this case.
But, here are the ten channels with the most new subscribers this past week.

Some Youtube News: A Chinese Youtube Clone, Bieber Speaks To Fans And Some VidCon 2011 News
Chinese Youtube Company Called Youku Takes A Step Into The U.S. Market
News just came out that a Chinese company called a "clone of Youtube" just had its initial public offering and the shares of the company shot up from what they expected to raise. What that means is there's a Chinese Youtube (called Youku.com - how clever) that is setting itself up to be in competition with Youtube.
The company itself is comparatively tiny when you look at its numbers against Youtube's, but you have to remember that China is the 2nd largest Internet market in the world and if this company has little in the way of legitimate competition (think in terms of advertising dollars), it has, and will continue to grow by leaps and bounds, sucking in viewers in the far east and around the world.
At that point it could pose a legitimate threat to Youtube's pre-eminence. That could take years, but you can bet the furrowed brows at Youtube HQ have noticed this new player in the game. Hopefully they will take quick steps to ensure they can retain their spot as the top dog in video etc.
If you want to take a look at the technical news article it is at: Youku.com.
There's also news about another Chinese company being set up to compete with Amazon.
Justin Bieber Apologizes To Fans
Justin Bieber apologized to his fans about not having posted anything new to his channel for some time in the short (0:47 seconds) video below. Hey, livin' the pop star life, winning all those AMAs and looking ahead to the Grammies which he hopes will see a similar result has been keeping the kid from Stratford Ontario hopping.
Is it just me or is Bieber's voice finally dropping a bit? He's doing this video to announce he is in a contest called "MyYoutube" and even if you hate Bieber, you should still take a look at it. The Youtube channel you need to go to is:
MyYouTube
It says "Visit the MyYouTube channel to subscribe to your favorite artists, help them score points, and enter for a chance to win over 250 prizes." Prizes? What prizes? You have to go and find out.
Looking For Info About VidCon 2011? Need Tickets? Yeah, Now I'm "Bradshaw the Scalper"
Lots of people are looking for information about VidCon and if you don't know what/where/how much/why you have to be at VidCon 2011, I've started putting a bunch of pages up around the Internet for folks to find out.
You can check the discussion board on the Bradshaw's Blog Facebook Page where I've got some information about tickets and prices as well as some other links if you need more information about VidCon.

Phil DeFranco Discusses Justin Bieber Winning The AMAs And "Half-Head Guy"
Not surprisingly (or maybe it was), Justin Bieber took home the bulk of the trophies at the recent American Music Awards and Philip DeFranco has some words about it. Also, he needs to reassure his viewer named "Steve" about his mom.
Best line: "I'm going to hell because the first thing I thought was 'Oh look, another young boy talking about Michael Jackson behind a stand.'"
And yes, Taylor Swift looked quite fetching. I may have to re-assess my rule about country singers. That dude with the mis-shapen head deserves some kind of pass. I sorta shuttered seeing it and was glad that Phil didn't show him again. If that makes me a shallow person, then hey, I'm shallow.

Justin Bieber In "8 Kilometers": Great Bieber Parody Trailer
With the news that Justin Bieber aka kidrauhl on Youtube, is about to begin his 3-D bio-pic, it is not surprising that some people are taking a potshot or two at the little crooner from the Great White North. There's no disputing Bieber has had massive success over the course of this last year, but a biography AND a movie about his life all in the same year? C'mon - he's 16 years old! How much living has Bieber done growing up on the gritty streets of Stratford Ontario?
Before we see the real thing - a trailer of his movie to be called "Never Say Never" (yes, in 3-D no less), UCB Comedy has made a takeoff of Eminem's "8 Mile" and used it for the parody trailer below called "8 Kilometers" (we use kilometers instead of miles in Canada if you didn't know).
"This time, I'm gonna have to issue you an official warning, even though your voice is dreamy."
Bieber was also killed off on the show "South Park" this week, but all the videos for THAT have been snatched down as quickly as they went up. Sorry about all the hate being directed at "the Biebs" all you 13-year-old girls who keep him as a permanent trending topic on Twitter for no apparent reason, but if you can't take a joke...
I haven't heard or read of Bieber's reaction to this video or the South Park episode, but I'm pretty sure he would think it would be positive, but I dunno. What do you think about this clip?

New Apps, 50 Cent In Young Boy's Bedroom, And The Rise Of DeStorm
There are some headlines that caught my attention and thought I should share with you. Like everyone on Youtube, I'm constantly reading everything I can about the website and those involved in it. Okay, so I'm a bit obsessed. I know I'm not the only one who gets a little chubby about the latest Youtube app, right? um, right?
Just spotted this over at the Wall Street Journal (yeah, I sometimes read the WSJ, what of it? You should see their centerfolds: hot banking babes). Google released a new app called YouTube Remote that costs you nothing (free is my favorite price). The article also quotes Kuan Yong, Senior Product Manager from his post on the YouTube Blog called Control YouTube on the desktop, or the TV... with the YouTube Remote app for your phone if you wanna check that out.
Here's an interesting story... rapper 50 Cent sang with 15-year-old Keenan Cahill and the video was broadcast on Chelsea Lately (Chelsea Handler's show). There's video on that site if you want to take a look.
Yes, "Kidrauhl" is fast becoming the most Mr Ubiquitous, with his name and face appearing everywhere. Just close your eyes and you'll probably see a promo for him tattooed on your eyelids. Forbes magazine has info about how Bieber Hot on Gaga's tail... sorry about that disturbing mental image. The little dude from Canada is slowly taking over the Internet. You have been warned.
Nothing makes me quite as uncomfortable as the though of "sailors being probed" but this is about some videos that somehow made their way onto Youtube of a collision between Japanese and Chinese ships off the Senkaku Islands. You can check out the article at Coast guard probed (yeesh, still makes me queasy)
Yeah, baby, that's Mr DeStorm himself smilin' from the pages of Mashable's article called HOW TO: Become a YouTube Sensation. If you don't know him, he's at 529K subs and hovering around the 57th position in the Top 100 Most Subscribed list (he's been gathering momentum lately and moving up). Here's the article: DeStorm Featured on Mashable He's another youtuber I've been following that I recommend you check out.

Justin Bieber Turns Into A Rapper?!
Actually, this is Alex Farnham, known as DamItsGood808 to the kids on the Youtube, as Justin Bieber. It looks like Bieber's career has evolved and now he's being a rap star (a rap wannabe?). Don't think young Justin has built up much in the way of street cred - he looks like a modern day Vanilla Ice lol.
In case you don't know who Farnham is, he was recently featured by The Station (see the Bradshaw's Blog post: The Station's 2 Picks For Awesome Channels You Should Be Watching from a couple of weeks ago). He also does an uncanny Jim Carrey as Ace Ventura impression. You might have spotted him in the recent video by the Station where they reviewed animator mrdaninsane as the second of 3 underviewed youtubers you might like. That post was The Station Is Giving You The Eye...
Because of the Station liking Farnham so much, they got him to come to Los Angeles where he was put up at the palatial estate of Joe Felice, much to the chagrin of a certain bearded gentleman from Idaho who had been staying there when he was in town.
Farnham now has over 53,000 subs and it shouldn't be not too long before he hits the 100K mark if he keeps putting out stuff like this.
Hopefully I won't get flamed too much when I post this on Twitter by all the little Bieber freaks - but hopefully they'll turn their angry comments on Alex's channel and video. That's Alex Farnham, and his channel is DamItsGood808 lol.

CTFxC: Alli's New Haircut And Beer Pong Reprise
It looks like Alli's gonna get her head shaved - no, not shaved, just styled. Actually she does bare some resemblance to actress Zooey Deschanel with those bangs.
It's also Alli's mom's birthday, so wish her a happy birthday - I don't have her Twitter account, so I can't point you in that direction lol. The also are trying to find Marley a new dog coat or "Fugu Jacket" as Charles calls it.
You can also find a bunch of other dog jackets
on Amazon and elsewhere.
Later we see Team CTFxC playing beer pong against Alli's brother but it looks like papa Trippy is the secret weapon lol. What do you think about Charles' idea for a new t-shirt with the Dracula picture and the words "Real Vampires Don't Sparkle!"? I think it's a great idea.
Also, right at the end, Charles asked what your opinion was on Justin Bieber - he seems to think that Bieber hasn't shown much appreciation for what YouTube has done for his career. What do you think? Personally, I can see the point Charles is making.
There haven't been too many shoutouts for YouTube coming from the guy. Of course there's also the problem of forgetting where you came from when you blow up as big as Bieber has over the last year or so. Maybe Bieber has forgotten that feeling you get when you are seeing the 100th or 1000th subscriber on your home page. When you get huge there is sometimes the accompanying feeling of "entitlement" as in "oh, yeah, I would have been big with or without Youtube" or any outside help you might get on your rise. I can't peek into Bieber's mind so I can't say one way or another what he feels he may owe YouTube as far as acknowledgement. There has been a noticeable lack recently of him saying much about the website that helped launch his career - and I think that may be what Charles was pointing out.
But that's just my opinion - what do YOU think?

Lady Gaga's Videos On Youtube Have Been Viewed By One Billion People
It has been reported that Lady Gaga, also know as Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta has passed another milestone with all of her videos having been watched a combined 1 billion times on YouTube. Actually 1,002,734,757 (that figure is already out of date). This goes along with her triumphs on Facebook and Twitter where she is the most followed, be-friended person on the planet.
This figure of her total views is not for one single video, although her video for Bad Romance has almost 300 million views alone. For those of you having lived under a rock, here's the song:
Even if you were living under a rock you probably have seen parts of this video at one time or another. There's no escape from that song - "Ra, ra, uh, uh, uh... Rum-a rum-a-a", that lyric is somehow stuck in my own noggin.
Her second most watched Youtube viedo is for the song Just Dance (featuring Colby O'Donis) with an equally impressive 124 million views.
Although she has the most overall views, Lady Gaga pales in comparisons to Justin Bieber's Baby, which featured Ludacris and has racked up 367 million views. Bieber actually is close to the billion views mark on Youtube with 967 million views (with half of those by my nieces I think).
To go along with the YouTube crown, she is the only person (so far) to break the 20 million mark on her fan page on Facebook. Plus her reach is extended even more as Ga-Ga surpassed Britney Spears for top spot on Twitter this last August as the most followed person over there. Her account is @Ladygaga and she has 6,903,182 (as of October 26, 2010) people following her every utterance in 140 characters or less. And yes, even I am following her on Twitter (how did that happen?!).
Where else can she go and dominate? I wonder if she's on DailyBooth yet?

Justin Bieber And Brittani Louise Taylor Are Engaged?
LOL, this is actually pretty funny. Brittani Louise Taylor captures some poor smuck off the street thinking it's Justin Bieber and forces herself on him! Actually the dude is Timothy DeLaGhetto who has a very popular YouTube channel of his own and does a lot of videos with The Station.
Below you'll find bloopers and behind-the-scenes of Brittani & Tim making the video.
