I love these old school throw backs that TheStation does from time to time. It's so much like an old 8-Bit video game. Take a look:
The animation and music were done by DoctorOctoroc who also has a blog you might be interested in, check doctoroctoroc.com.
It reminds me of one they did months ago that was a similar theme and looked like one of those old games from back in the day.
And yes, at 1:00 I did press "start" expecting the game to begin.

The Station Gives A Shout Out To 3 Under-Viewed Youtube Channels
Has it already been a week since The Station's last "The Station Is Watching You"? Once again, we are met by our smiling Host with the Most, JoeFelice who features three channels that for whatever reason, haven't found their audiences yet - at least as far as having huge subscriber bases. Take a look:
The first channel is brob444 (aka 22-year-old Brandon Robinson), the music channel reviewed by davedays.
I agree with Joe when he was showing Dave this channel - heavily influenced by Dave's music, which is great, and with enormous listenability IMO. Plus, when you look at the older stuff Brandon has posted, you can see a lot of improvement musically as well as visually. Where will he be 6 months or a year down the line? I dunno, but it should be an interesting journey.
The 2nd channel that "The Station Is Watching You" points us towards is from Kayl Johnson and the channel is thenewsyoushouldknow. I actually have been subbed to Kayl for a while now and give The Station the thumbs up for giving him this shout out. Hear's the video that TheWillofDC was watching:
Will better keep looking over his shoulder because this guy is pretty good. If you don't know who TheWillofDC is, he does several videos each week about YT Winners & Losers (and I've done some posts here on his videos too). But Kayl's videos are good and I like his delivery as well as the scope of what he covers. You can also follow him on Twitter: @KaylJohnson.
The final channel they review is from wendymccolm, who I thought bore a striking resemblence to Alyson Hannigan (maybe it's the red hair), but I hadn't seen her before. Her channel was given the once-over by Michael Gallagher of TotallySketch.
Wendy has about 45 or so videos uploaded to Youtube over the last couple of years and if she takes Gallagher's advice and stops using copyrighted stuff, she'll easily make it into the Youtube Partnership program. You can stalk her over on Twitter at @wendymccolm (and she's got a tumblr account you can check out: wendymccolm.tumblr.com)
So, what do you think of these three picks? And also, how do you think Joe should handle the spammers? Should he listen to Spammy McSpamalot and just choose whomever gets the most plugs from that particular channel's fans?
Also, the opening and closing theme song for "The Station Is Watching You" was done by davidshurrmusic, so give him some comments if you liked his stuff. I thought his take on the theme was pretty good.

Shay Carl At The Station, But Soon Heading Home To See The Tardlets
It looks like Shay is still in Los Angeles doing some top secret work for The Station, leaving Mommytard at home as the Tardlet Wrangler. Shay should be flying home to join the Shaytards tomorrow.
Shay was wandering the halls of the Station in a bloody butcher's apron so I'm hoping he is getting character for an upcoming video, while meanwhile back at "Chez Carl" (like my play on words there?) Katilette is contending with the rambunctious Shaytard children - Princesstard is truly frightening with her werewolf makeup, but Sontard was looking good shootin' hoops. I think I would have called a lot of travelling violations and fouls in that game, but they're just learning, so you have to cut them some slack. I do think Sontard may be more of a football guy than a basketball guy.
It was funny seeing them filming a scene at the Station and KassemG silently tearing Shay a new one for vlogging while they went over what the wanted to do in the scene. I've noticed that the videos from "The Station" have slowed down in number while their 2nd channel, The Station2 have increased.
Sontard and Princesstard are watching an old Shaytards video and busting a gut laughing (and missing Shay too it seems). Here's the video they were watching:
So Shay will be back in Idaho tomorrow. And tell Shay to remember his toothbrush and not to leave his camera on the plane this time!

Justin Bieber Turns Into A Rapper?!
Actually, this is Alex Farnham, known as DamItsGood808 to the kids on the Youtube, as Justin Bieber. It looks like Bieber's career has evolved and now he's being a rap star (a rap wannabe?). Don't think young Justin has built up much in the way of street cred - he looks like a modern day Vanilla Ice lol.
In case you don't know who Farnham is, he was recently featured by The Station (see the Bradshaw's Blog post: The Station's 2 Picks For Awesome Channels You Should Be Watching from a couple of weeks ago). He also does an uncanny Jim Carrey as Ace Ventura impression. You might have spotted him in the recent video by the Station where they reviewed animator mrdaninsane as the second of 3 underviewed youtubers you might like. That post was The Station Is Giving You The Eye...
Because of the Station liking Farnham so much, they got him to come to Los Angeles where he was put up at the palatial estate of Joe Felice, much to the chagrin of a certain bearded gentleman from Idaho who had been staying there when he was in town.
Farnham now has over 53,000 subs and it shouldn't be not too long before he hits the 100K mark if he keeps putting out stuff like this.
Hopefully I won't get flamed too much when I post this on Twitter by all the little Bieber freaks - but hopefully they'll turn their angry comments on Alex's channel and video. That's Alex Farnham, and his channel is DamItsGood808 lol.

The Station Is Giving You The Eye...
Hard to believe that it is already time for another look at some under-viewed youtubers curtesy of your Genial Host With The Most, JoeFelice who gives us a glimpse at YouTube channels forwarded by fellow youtubers that should be given a wider audience. This is one of the better features from the Station's 2nd channel.
I really like the choices of genres that Joe mentions this week: a cooking channel, an animation channel and although I'm a dude, there's nothing wrong with promoting a beauty and makeup channel (plus there's the added benefit of seeing the yummy andreaschoice, so that's a win-win).
The first is thetofuguru from Brittany Roberts and the channel has a mere 1,904 subscribers which is surprising given the humor they bring to the cooking area. Watch the video below, which starts off with a takeoff on the boardgame Clue
(Cluedo in the UK), and if you like what you see, feel free to tap that subscribe button.
Next up for your consideration: mrdaninsane, who is a talented animator from Israel, and his channel has 5,360 subs (should have more) and about 3 dozen videos posted. If you like animation even a little, then you should love this guy's stuff. Go to his channel and check out some more.
Last, is the channel reviewed by andreaschoice (did I mention she was yummy?) who shows us cutesygirl09's beauty channel. I am no aficionado of makeup and don't watch them much at all, but because I do keep track of who's who in the Top 100, I do watch the odd video of various beauty gurus on YouTube. Most of their makeup advice slips out of my brain pretty quickly, but as a guy, I do remember the pretty ones (actually most of the girls who are really good at this, look amazing before they start applying their makeup).
This girl, cutesygirl09, or Kayla, is definitely very pretty, but she brings some added attractiveness because of the confidence she shows the camera. Anyone who is in front of an audience, live or on video, needs to know that eye contact is one of the most important aspects in whether or not you are successful in making contact with your audience. Kayla does this.
She also has only 1,700 subscribers right now (she had only 60 before this video came out!), but will probably get a lot more. You might also want to check out her blog that she just started last month.
As I've said before, this is one of the Station's better efforts and I think it is probably Joe Felice who brought this idea of highlighting people with smaller sub bases who should be given a hand and showcased to a larger audience.
Joe also mentions that he would like to see more submissions for the intros (I liked this one by pinchpointpro). If you are a musician who can do a simple 10-second jingle with the words "The Station Is Watching You", send it to Joe!
Getting your stuff out there and SEEN by people is one of the hardest aspects of making a career or even becoming moderately successful as a musician or as a youtuber in general. The Station may be offering you a hand. Will you take the hand that's being offered to you?

Shay Carl's Fetish For Granite-Tiled Bathrooms
Shay Carl is off to Los Angeles once more, but first he and Mommytard take the various tardlets to that great food emporium Dennys, home of the 24/7 breakfast/lunch/dinner menu.
Shay falls victim to one of those scamming toy machines when he lets Sontard and Princesstard try to win a stuffed animal while at the restaurant. I hate those things! I worked with a girl who won stuff all the time out of them but when I do it (much like Sontard), I'm left grabbing air. When Shay asks Babytard what she wants to eat (about 3:05 into the video), I think she makes a face and looks just like Katilette when she says she wants chicken and fries. LOL at Sontard he's getting dropped off for school and Shay kids him about "keepin' his lips off all the girls at his school".
What movie does Shay quote to Mommytard and Babytard? It's Disney's The Sword In The Stoneof course! Anyone with a passing knowledge of the Disney movies should have picked that one up pretty quick, although it is one of their older films. Don't know what Babytard was doing just as Shay got on the plane lol. You never know what the Shaytards will do next - which I think is why everyone likes them.
Then Shay is in L.A., and on his way to The Station to check in and he mentions all the new people in the office - it does seem like there's more and more new faces there when we see the behind the scenes stuff, but there are a lot of familiar ones too, like Rawn, Ceciley, Lisa Nova, Danny Diamond and Kassem and the others.
Shay mentioned a video where he had to beat box with BrettTheIntern (video below) and if you want, here's more of Brett's "How To Beat Box" tutorial.
But of course, it's the end of the Shaytards' video where Shay displays his deep appreciation for the granite tilework of the bathroom in the hotel where he's staying.
If you are a longtime viewer of the Shaytards, you know that at one time Shay used to install granite countertops for a living and that's what he was talking about. I can get what he's talking about - the craftmanship and work that went into putting up the tiles etc. That is tough work and although Shay claims to be happy to be done with it, doing owrk on houses like that never really leaves you and Shay obviously likes seeing good work. I'd like to see that "dream house" he was talking about - probably all marbled in granite with a trampolin in the back yard.

DeniseVlogs Busts A Move At The Station
If you went to a Halloween party or any party for that matter and there was dancing, would you be ready? Could you show off some epic dance moves? DeniseVlogs asks people at The Station to show off their best dance moves - starting with Mr Danny Diamond (posing as a custodial engineer):
Now Danny can dance, which you can tell from his videos (oh, wait, he made them all private so you can see them anymore), but he does show some moves in this one. And the lovely Ceciley looks pretty good shakin' what her mommy gave her.
And of course, what would a video from The Station be without at least one shot of hiimrawn's butt crack. As far as Joe Felice, when did he become such a tough taskmaster? I always thought Joe was the ultimate nice guy when I saw him, but I guess that was (Using my best Jon Lovitz voice) Act-ting!

The Station's 2 Picks For Awesome Channels You Should Be Watching
I'm really liking this new feature from The Station on YouTube (actually this is from TheStation2, their 2nd channel). Your Genial Host With The Most is of course, Joe Felice and he features YouTube channels with less than 10,000 subscribers that viewers have suggested should be highlighted so they can be seen by more youtubers and others. First, take a look at Joe's video below for more info and then I'll post a video from both of the featured channels.
I've never heard of either of these two channels, so hats off to Joe and The Station for bringing them to our attention. This new feature is very clever on their part, but if you are subbed to Joe's channel, you know he has his insightful moments (I particularly love his political videos - need more of those Joe!) and he has been a great addition to the Station's crew in my opinion.
The first channel that they told us about is called thelittlefears who originate from Canada and currently have 1,955 subs but should be getting more. The only drawback is that although they have 32 videos posted on their channel, they haven't added anything new in 4 months. But it will take you some time to get through those 32 videos and maybe they can be convinced to upload more (subtle hint there). Take a look at one of their videos:
They also have a cool, spooky website called Creepy Pasta that you might want to check out.
The 2nd channel that Joe talks about is DamItsGood808 with Alex Farnham. You have to agree that he is a dead ringer for Jim Carrey from the Ace Ventura movies. Make sure you check out his other videos too. Definitely a thumbs up.
All I can say is well done by The Station for bringing these two channels to everyone's attention and look forward to seeing what they'll find next.

DeniseVlogs Asks The Station "What Are You Gonna Be This Halloween?"
Have you figured out what you are going to be this Halloween? Got a great costume idea picked out? No? Why not take some ideas from people working at The Station for this year? DeniseVlogs asks some of the behind-the-scenes folks (and KassemG) what they plan on being for Halloween.
Now Denise starts of rough as the first guy has a terrible time with the question. And the mean girl who slams Denise for her fashion sense - I think Denise has nice legs. But she does put her foot in her mouth with the dude planning on being a carny. I was wondering if he was testing his costume out too.
The best was with Joe Felice freaking out about his costume idea (and loved the mean girl from earlier sprinting away when Denise came up to talk to them). And then there was KassemG with a rather unique choice to be "Nice Peter". You'll have to watch the video for that one.

Taryn Southern Dances Because She Hit 10K Twitter Followers
I have absolutely NO reason to tell the lovely Taryn Southern not to dance and I am not about to start now. Taryn just hit the 10,000 mark on her Twitter account (that's @TarynSouthern for those who are missing out). Below Taryn busts a move:
Which begs the question - what can we get her to do when she hits 20,000 Twitter followers? Sorry, but my mind drifted into naughty territory there, Taryn. If you don't know who she is (What?! How?), Taryn has been on YouTube for about 3 years and has done some vids with several folks from The Station, but you can find out more about her over at Wikipedia because she has her own page there (Taryn Southern at Wikipedia). How many of you can boast that?
And, just in case you somehow missed it, here she is in the video from last December Wrong Hole w/Scott Baio, Taryn Southern, and DJ Lubel. I still start laughing as soon as Scott Baio sits down and says "Hey Champ..." lol.

Watching HiimRawn On Ustream Right Now
I was just checking out my Twitter (I'm at @Hey_Bradshaw) and spotted that hiimrawn is live on Ustream.
If he's still on, check him out at Rawn on Ustream. You might remember him as the guy at VidCon who played the acordian while wearing a bikini during the Station's set. See the video below:

Taryn Southern Is YouTube's Hottest Nerdy Girl
Yes, I think actress Taryn Southern generates quite a bit of heat in this photoshoot, thank you very much. I first spotted Taryn awhile back as she was in some videos from TheStation when they just opened their doors and any red-blooded male would have been feverishly trying to find her channel on YouTube after seeing her. In this video, she's shown in various poses of and nerdy chic. I don't want to sound like I'm obsessing over her, but she is one of those pretty girls who can wear glasses and look even hotter.
She has been on YouTube since September of 2007 and has an audience of a mere 6,691 YouTube fans (why aren't there more folks demanding more videos from her?). She also has her own website called taryn-southern.com with lots more info about herself and the various projects she's been working on. Also, you can follow her on Twitter, she's at @tarynsouthern.
If you go to her channel (found using the link above), you'll find her funny video she made with DJ Lubel called "Wrong Hole" that features actor Scott Baio. You'll never forget it lol.
Check out her latest Taryn Southern Dances Because She Hit 10K Twitter Followers.
