Youtube Flashback: August 2007 Top 100

Picture from 2007 curtesy of Wayback Machine

What were you doing in August 2007? Were you even on Youtube either as someone who watched the videos of others or were you one of the few who uploaded clips and got listed in this Top 100 from August 5, 2007?

Look at the numbers these people had just 4 short years ago and compare them with the millions of subscribers that the Top 100 Most Subscribed have today and you can see the astounding growth this website has generated. How many of these channels do you remember and how many are still actively uploading videos? Each channel can still be found by the links provided unless they have been closed which is the case for some of them. Others just have not been updated in years.

Right at the top is of course smosh who remain right there, showing incredible staying power. In August 2007 Anthony and Ian had garnered an incredible 148,992 subscribers and had taken over top spot from the rapidly declining lonelygirl15. Now smosh enjoys the support of over 3 million subs. HappySlip is right at the top along with Lisa Nova's channel. Kevjumba was in 13th spot with only 47K subs?!

Charles Trippy had a mere 28,828 subs and CTFxC was still a long way off (this was pre-Alli and obviously Ms Speed and soon-to-be Mrs Trippy had a great effect on Charles' life). Natalie Tran's communitychannel had only 27,593 subscribers at this point.

Whoa. Way down at number 49 is sxephil (Philip DeFranco) with 19,735 subscribers. These days Phil gets 19K a week in subs across his many channels and is hovering near the Top 10 Most Subscribed. Katers17 is still making videos on her main channel but does daily vlogs as katersoneseven and is temporarily located in the states from her native England. Uncle Nalts is up there at number 58 with only 17K subs.

Looking towards the bottom of the list there is spricket24, MysteryGuitarMan (with only 13,579!) and peron75 which is Michael "WhatTheBuck" Buckley's 2nd channel.

If you're looking at these numbers in surprise, don't be shocked. Youtube has grown, mutated and grown again exponentially during the intervening 4 years and who knows who will still be around in another 4 years.

One thing to point out is that this list does not show a Ray William Johnson, Nigahiga or Fred. Some of the most popular Youtube channels today were active in August 2007 but were not even listed in the Top 100. Food for thought. There were many who gave up trying to be successful on Youtube back at this time thinking that the window of opportunity had already closed when actually it was being pried open even further. Look at the numbers in this list again and tell me you don't see potential for the future with this website.

If Ray William Johnson Can Make $2,000 A Day On Youtube Why Can't I?

According to the website myu2b.com, it looks like Ray William Johnson could be making as much as $2,000 each day from his Youtube channel. Really? 2K per day?

Actually the numbers used to calculate what Ray "potentially" makes each day are imprecise. Don't get me wrong, Ray is probably making a great living these days through his main channel, but is he really making as much as $730,000 a year ($2,000 x 365 days equals 730K) just by posting videos onto Youtube? I don't know. Ray knows, and Youtube probably knows, and Ray's accountant and the taxman, too I guess.

But how does the website myu2b.com come up with that figure? According to the website and what I've read elsewhere, the figure is based pretty much entirely on 2 factors - traffic to his channel and an average clickthrough rate on the ads. That is where the fuzzy math comes in.

The daily traffic (views) is a relatively precise measurement, but the imprecision is the clickthrough rate. Anyone who is somewhat familiar with Adsense and other advertising on the Internet knows that your clickthrough rate fluctuates because of any number of reasons. The ads that get served to a viewer of your website, video in this case, vary from viewer to viewer based on their location as well as what the content the ads accompany. If someone goes to The Wall Street Journal and reads an article about the latest financial news they will most likely not see the same ad as someone going to Youtube to watch Ray's take on the latest viral video. Different content, different audience, different advertising. Also, on websites such as Youtube, most of the visitors are there for one thing in mind (boobs), that is for content creators to "entertain me".

Yes, those on Youtube who have massive audiences will have a portion of their viewers who are enticed by advertising. But most visitors are interested in watching videos, not ads. According to what one of the creators of myu2b.com says, the daily gross is "potential daily gross" and they think they could be over or under for some of the channels they track by as much as 30 percent. So it is obviously not entirely accurate. Still, I think you will agree that those in the Youtube Partnership Program who are getting massive traffic to their videos are probably doing fine monetarily-wise, thank you very much.

But what about that figure quoted above about Ray making $730,000 a year? How precise is that? If you look at the graph, it shows that the daily gross fluctuates a great deal. This is true for those at the top of heap as far as viewership goes and it is the same for those further down the list. If you post a video, especially if you are well-known, you will get a rush of views, but then it starts to decline over time. According to the website, fewer views mean less money - makes sense right?

Some people are lucky and create videos that continue to get a respectable number of views months, sometimes years after they are posted. This is called "evergreen" content and it is the same for articles, blogs, and just about on every platform online. If you can create something that continues drawing visits, that content can continue generating money, but it is difficult to do.

Although it says Ray potentially earned $2,000 yesterday, that could slip tomorrow and the next day, so you cannot say with any certainty that "Ray makes $XXX,XXX a year". It is the same for everyone on Youtube who is involved in the Partnership program. The amount they make varies day to day.

How Much Do Youtube Partners Make?

An article came out last summer that I mentioned in a post on Bradshaw's Blog called Article Out Says 10 YouTube Stars Making $100,000 A Year. The article in question was based on faulty math and apparent guesswork, although Phil DeFranco did respond in a video (included in the post) and Greg Benson of MediocreFilms did as well. I liked Phil's take on the article as he basically said even if he was making a nice living doing what he was doing on Youtube, that viewers hopefully wouldn't judge him by the size of his wallet.

We all have friends, relatives and people we know who make more or less than we do, and unless you are someone like Mark Zuckerberg or Bill Gates I hope you don't look at them and just see dollar signs. If people are making a lot of money on Youtube, I wouldn't begrudge them of their good fortune. Just like in any field, there are people who find that niche that pans out well for them and that's what we are all trying to do. Just because someone is further along financially than you or me doesn't mean we are a failure or that we cannot applaud them for their good fortune. If you do the work, put in the effort, you can do better too. Always remember that even if you feel you are comparatively poor, there is always someone else who would trade places with you in a heartbeat.

Use The Figures On Myu2b.com As Motivation

If you do go to the website myu2b.com and check what some of your favorite youtubers who are in the partnership program are potentially making, use that as motivation to do better yourself. Definitely check out what Shane Dawson, MysteryGuitarMan, iJustine and all the most subscribed people on Youtube might possibly be earning, but look further down the list and see what it takes as far as views to potentially make $1, $10 or $100 a day.

See how many views would it take to earn $1 every day. How do you reach that first hurtle? How can you attract enough viewers so you can earn $10 a day? How many videos have some partners posted and how often do they post new videos? Are the videos you are posting better quality, funnier or more topical than someone else's? How can you make your videos better? Look at that part of the equation rather than looking at what Ray William Johnson makes.

Do The Hard Work Required To Get To Your Next Level

Many who see what Ray or others on Youtube may be making and think that it is all so easy for them and that they can do what Ray does, or Phil DeFranco, Ryan Higa, Shane Dawson, or Smosh does, but all this success didn't just drop in their lap. If you watch their videos all have infuriating problems uploading videos and each has to come up with great content consistently which is definitely not easy. All have to go through the process of figuring out what they want to do, doing it, filming it, editing, posting, and then starting the process all over again. And they've been doing this for years.

What they do is a grind, but the good outweighs the bad otherwise they probably wouldn't be doing it. They have put in the time and effort to build their audiences. Do you have what it takes? There are rewards, but like most things in life it takes a lot of work to reach this level.

AdamThomasMoran: The Russian Version Of Ray William Johnson?

I don't know if this guy is deliberating copying Ray William Johnson's format or not (probably is my guess) but if you watch this following video from the Russian language channel called AdamThomasMoran I think you can see a bit of similarity to Ray's Equals 3:

With the quick cuts and the the host jumping around the screen intermixed with video clips, um, yeah. The video is entirely a RWJ clone with a Russian twist. If you look at the channel details, he lists Ray as his influence.

And more importantly, he's getting subs, 69,787 to date, which makes him the most subscribed youtuber in Russia. And he's starting to get massive views: more than a million on the video he uploaded 3 days ago and over 2 million from the one posted on Youtube a week ago. He joined Youtube at the end of July 2010 and for the 21 videos he's uploaded he has over 25 million views. Makes me wish I knew how to speak Russian and had thought of copying Ray first.

Next step is to get partnered up and he's set. Whoops, he already is.

YourFavoriteMartian: Ray William Johnson Finally Posts A Video And...

Ray William Johnson just uploaded the first video to his new channel Yourfavoritemartian called "My Balls". It turns out it is a music channel (with Ray singing) and animation. If you haven't seen it yet, here is the video:

What do you think? I watched it shortly after it was uploaded and then started reading the comments. Most are highly complementary but after getting past the die-hard fans declaring it the best thing they've ever seen (high praise indeed) you notice that there are comments here and there about it being disappointing. Actually, looking at the likes/dislikes, as I write this it is 4,095 thumbs up wth 789 thumbs down. That means about 20 percent disliked the video enough to actually dislike it which is quite substantial. Will have to see what the percentage is after those who are more casual Equals 3 viewers have had a chance to see it to gauge the overall opinion.

As far as the music part of the video, it is a catchy little song and it is available on iTunes at Your Favorite Martian: My Balls if you want to download the song.

The animation is okay too, but there is better on Youtube. It does make for a humorous visual and works with the song. I will say that this video is 100 times better musically and animation-wise than the
Fred music video from last November (see Wow! Fred Figglehorn Drops An Album if you want to watch that video).

As far as Ray William Johnson passing Nigahiga as the most subscribed channel on Youtube, Ray has added a ton of new subscribers on the Yourfavoritemartian channel - he had 173,000 subs last monday and after announcing that the first video would drop he now has about 300K. After Nigahiga posted his Agents Of Secret Stuff he now has 3,157,457 subscribers. Ray's raywilliamjohnson channel where he hosts his Equals 3 show has 2,737,433 subs, so he is still closing the gap. This past week Ray once again had the channel gaining the most subscribers (47,000) while Nigahiga was farther down the list (23,000), so at this rate it will only be a matter of time before Ray overtakes Ryan Higa. Actually, if you add Ray's 2 channels together they are pretty close. I do think that neither really cares too much which one of them has "the most Youtube subscribers" and both wish the other much success.

Still, what is your take on Ray's new video?

Ray William Johnson's New Project "Yourfavoritemartian" Finally Rolls Out January 26, 2011

It was hinted at months ago and it looks like Ray William Johnson is finally ready for the big unveil. Back at the end of June 2010 Ray posted a video with his "Equals 3" theme song (complete with the dancing cat) with a "Coming Soon" promise.

Now we get a similar video (see below) with a date for when we finally get to find out what this new project is all about.

The channel is called Yourfavoritemartian and since the relase of that teaser video Ray's new channel has racked up over 173K subscribers all waiting (im)patiently for more details.

All I know is that Ray loves his music, so I'm guessing something music based, but because Ray has been so darned secretive, not too many know anything about what type of content we can expect. You might notice that the channel is listed in the "musician" category on Youtube as well, so is Ray gonna be laying down some fat tracks? Coming from me that last sentence sounds incredibly lame, but we'll have to wait til Wednesday to see what's what.

Feel free to comment below if YOU know, but like I said, I'm thinking music. Of course the name is a play on an old TV show (My Favorite Martian) but doubtful Ray will be reviewing American Idol or Jersey Shore (dear God I hope not). But like you, I'll be watching.

Ray William Johnson: Gator-Slappin' Kitty And Fun With Carrots

Here's the latest from Ray William Johnson where he highlights the proper way to store a horse, one bad-ass cat messin' with a couple of alligators and um, a new way to make a salad?

All I can think of for the one with the horse in the back seat of that car is that is the ugliest child I've ever seen.

And that cat taking on two gators? Why didn't someone rush in and grab that cat up before he became gator chow? Congrats on Fluffy whuppin' on the alligators but that could have ended so much differently. But you do have to give Chuck Norris' cat some credit. Or is that the dancin' kitty at the end of Ray's videos?

As far as the carrot lovin' red-haired girl, the less said the better. Wrong on so many levels. If you want to see the Carrot Peeling Contest, there it is.

When Will Ray William Johnson Pass Nigahiga As Most Subscribed On Youtube?

I don't think there is any personal animosity between Ray and Ryan and don't want to promote any ill feelings between the two. I've never asked one of them about the other (I don't know either personally) and I haven't seen any comment, good, bad or indifferent, made by either one about the other guy's numbers either. Both of their channels have their good and bad points, as well as fans who love everything they do. No doubt there are hundreds of thousands subscribed to both guys because they put out interesting content.

All I'm saying is that there's nothing wrong with a little friendly competition. I don't think they will get into a pissing contest or anything (we used to have those at our family reunions. Grandma would always win, but that's a story for another time). I'm sure they are probably looking at each other's number of subscribers, but they're probably more worried about what they are going to post next week rather than worrying about every bump the other gets as far as subscribers.

Here's the numbers.

This is the number of subscribers each has today (November 14th, 2010):
2,850,649 nigahiga
2,260,115 RayWilliamJohnson

590,534 is the difference in subscribers right now. Last month Ray once again received massive numbers of new subscribers, adding 157K, while Ryan had the 2nd most of anyone on Youtube with 82K. Both are crazy numbers for new people subbing to a channel as it takes other mere mortals years to generate their subscriber base to that number. The actual difference is that Ray got 74,290 more than Ryan. And he's doing that month, month out. That's why he is gaining on Ryan.

If you go back a year to November 2009, Ryan had 1,626,743 subscribers (and was in 1st place overall) and Ray was way back at a still extremely respectable 32nd place on the Top 100 with 335,072 subscribers. As a sidenote, the channel in the 100th spot today, has 351K subs, which shows how much Youtube is bursting at the seams. The site is still experiencing massive growth as seen by the recent announcement of Youtube having one billion accounts. Ryan averaged about 101,000 new subscribers each month over this last year while Ray's channel has had 160,000.

Anyone who works with numbers will tell you one of the 1st rules is that "past performance is no indication of future results." They can only be used as a guide.

Right now, if Ray William Johnson and Ryan Higa continue getting the same number of subscribers each month, Ray will pass Ryan in June 2011.

Ray William Johnson: Yellows Socks And Reggae Calms The Savage Toddler

Here's the latest from Ray William Johnson, which I think is a good one. I think I've seen that first guy with the yellow socks - no wait, I've been that guy with the yellow socks.

I thought for sure that the drunk dude at the subway station was going to fall directly through the subway car door, not some kind of weird ninja-gymnastic backflip over the bar.

The little dude diggin' on the Bob Marley was a pretty cool little kid. The channel that uploaded the video is (not surprisingly) called babybobmarley333 and they've uploaded 2 videos so far and have 320 subs. The video itself has had 5.8 million views since it was uploaded September 11, 2010. Don't know if they'll be able to come up with anything to compare with it, but these one-shot viral videos rarely do. Take a look at the full video below.

As far as the trick play video, I love the play and don't care if it was a "little illegal" or not. What is your opinion? Are you a die-hard "lame, ref shoulda called-it back" or are you like me: "Try it again in your next game, but just be prepared to get a mouth full of fist if you do". The video is closing in on 9 million views now which is awesome.

The school is the Driscoll Middle School this is their only account, but they did get 410 subs for it.

Loved how it all tied together with the losing team wearing yellow socks like the guy on the subway platform.

Meekakitty Goes Horseback Riding And Supernote Congrats

Looks like meekakitty went on a field trip out to the country a few days ago and went horseback riding. I don't know what the fascination is with hopping on the back of a horse. I haven't had the chance to go horseback riding in a long time but it is one of the things you really need to do once in a while, especially if you live in the big city like Tessa. Love the shots of the horses as well.

After watching the video you may be wondering "Who was that holding the camera?" and after hearing a few comments from the cameraman, it is obviously Ray William Johnson of the Equals Three show. Tessa and Ray have been friends for some time and she (along with TheWillofDC who used to be Ray's roommate) appeared frequently in Ray's daily vlog BreakingNYC last year.

The horses looked great, especially the little baby right at the end, It looked like Meekakitty knew what she was doing and seems to ride very well. It's good to see her doing videos out of the house once in a while.

She also announced some of the winners from "Team Stashe", the team she led in the recent Supernote contest. Unfortunately her team came in 6th overall, but that's still a respectable showing. So if you contributed a video, kudos to you - now practice, practice, practice for next year!

Ray William Johnson And The Surprised Mouse

And a farting iguana... Yup, an iguana farts in the tub. But it's the surprised rat that makes this a funny video from Ray William Johnson. It's like someone told Stuart Little that he was adopted and he turns to the camera with his jaw dropping in shock.

The one video of the two "frat boys" looks totally fake, but still sort of funny, but it's the lizard in the tub letting one rip that made me make the face little the shocked rat. Who knew a lizard could produce that much stank gas?

And what is your answer to Ray's Comment Question Of The Day? If you could be reincarnated as anyone, who or what would it be? Me, I'm thinking I'd come back as Chuck Norris (do I really have to say why?) or maybe the Old Spice Guy.

TheWillofDC: Winners & Losers Halloween 2010

I don't know about you, but as a regular viewer of TheWillofDC's Winners & Losers I like how Will did this video rather than his other recent videos with the green screen. That said, there were some interesting developments in the rankings of the Top 100 Youtubers this week and Will lets us know what's what.

The big winner this past week was DieAussenseiter a German YouTube channel that moved up from 80th to 77th place on the overall Top 100. "DieAussenseiter" translates into english as "The Outsider". This does show the growth of the international scope of YouTube and other channels using languages other than primarily English should take heart and receive some motivation to keep working to make more videos and channels in their native languages - there are audiences in every country that want great content in their own language. Below is a Halloween video from DieAussenseiter.

DieAussenseiter is made up of two German brothers: Alexander "Sascha" Koslowski and Dimitri "Dima" Koslowski and their channel now has 437K subscribers and 111 million views! Those are some solid numbers.

According to Will, the biggest loser seems to be therealdemilovato channel which garnered only 2,903 new subscribers over the last 2 weeks and fell to 49th place from 44th. It looks like Demi Lovato's in a new series called Sonny With A Chance (that seems like a re-run of 57 other Disney shows - hope that didn't sound too harsh). They've released a bunch of clips of the series on Demi's channel, but nothing truly unique content-wise, just more from the Disney machine. If you want to see a clip with Shaq, check it out:

Ray William Johnson Got 73,000 New Subscribers?!

Yes, Ray keeps on generating massive numbers in the subscriber race more than doubling Nigahiga's new subscribers 35,013 with RWJ getting 73,252 new subs. That is amazing. Last year when it was Shane Dawson pulling the big numbers, I'm pretty sure even Shane didn't get that many all at once. Ray William Johnson is still about 600,000 behind Nigahiga but Ray's gaining on him fast. It's probably only a matter of time before there's a new number one most subscribed on YouTube.

Also, Fred got passed by Shane Dawson for 3rd overall. Poor Fred who everyone loves to hate was once the big kahuna but he's slipping. His numbers are still solid, but Smosh is breathing down the little guy's neck (Anthony and Ian are about 100K behind Fred).

A couple of other big name Youtubers that Will didn't mention are sxephil and realannoyingorange who are neck and neck for 9th and 10th spots, with collegehumor and davedays both really, really close behind.

Fail Friday With Phil DeFranco & Epic Sxephil Face Fails

Looks like Philip DeFranco has finally brought us the anticipated Fail Fridays where he points out a couple of the biggest fails for the week and viewers vote which one was the larger fail. Got it? Good.

Personally I would have to say sleepwalking shotgun dude (Phil didn't say whether or not he survived) over the wacky waiter with the mega-death hot sauce. I just checked and they do have the stuff on Amazon so I'll put up a link to it if you are brave enough to grab some of that liquid fire. When Phil was talking about this story, my mind went to the dirtiest place and thought "bodily fluid" (a collective "ewwww" goes up from my readership) but it was just the hot sauce from a bottle variety.

So, of the two fails, which do YOU think was the greater showing of total ineptness?

Plus - what do you think about the State Farm sponsorship of the video? Me, I have no real problem with it, but some viewers may think "Phil, buddy, you sold out to the man for just a few bucks?" and you would be entitled to your opinion. State Farm is a massive company and getting corporate sponsorship shows that there some acknowledgement of the size of DeFranco's audience - which is not something we usually see on YouTube.

Phil also mentions that there is a Facebook page that shows everyone's favorite Phil Face Fails, but the link he gave doesn't work. He'll probably fix it on monday's show. Or you could just check out Phil's Facebook Fan Page where you can get some updates on what sxephil is up to when he's not in your face on YouTube.

But to tide you over, below is a video you probably haven't seen of a bunch of epic face fails by Phil that was put up by EpicFaceFails. Enjoy.

Ray William Johnson: Gumby And The Wooden Spoon Prank

Here's the latest from RayWilliamJohnson. Gotta admit that like most guys I've been party to shenanaghans like the dude jumping the sign. Usually I'm the guy telling folks that they can do thing stupid stunts. Like as a kid "Sure you can do it Billy! I'm sure the umbrella can hold you if you jump off the roof!"

Lol, "I think he broke his hymen!" And what does buddy have against Gumby in the next viral video? The guy was doing some analysis of Madden Football and one of the players is sprinting down field (holding his broken leg) and the "announcer" is "How is he runnin' with a broken leg?!" and end by cursing out Gumby. I dunno who he's referring to as "Gumby", but he better watch himself. Gumby is a mean old BAMF.

I mean, Gumby may be make of clay, but he can form any shape and he could turn into something nasty like a weapon or your old girlfriend - now that's truly terrifying.

The wooden spoon prank is a classic. You get an unsuspecting friend to put a wooden spoon in his mouth and hit you on the top of the head. You just cannot get any force going if the spoon is held that way, but what you do is have another friend bop the first unsuspecting guy on the head with a spoon when it is your turn to use the spoon.

Here's the whole video of the guys from Iceland.

I think the one with the glasses who falls for the trick is named Oli. The 3rd guy who does the hitting is probably the one who owns the YouTube channel, ottogun. Somehow I think poor old Oli gets tricked by these two a lot.

So, what do you think about the comment question of the day? Which is better - men or women, and why?

How Did Ray William Johnson Become So Popular On Youtube?

One of the most popular people on Youtube is Ray William Johnson who is currently the 2nd most subscribed person on the website with over 2 million subs. He averages about 30,000 new subscribers every week! Ray's main channel (Equals 3 or =3) could eventually take over the Most Subscribed spot on YouTube from Ryan Higa (known as Nigahiga and he is closing in on his 3 millionth sub).

According to Ray's main channel, this is what he says about himself: "I'm just a regular guy with an entertaining hobby. I review viral videos twice a week -- every Monday and Thursday. I'm paid to clean the urinals at the local strip club."

Take a look at the growth in subscribers to Ray's channel:

06Sep 2009 145,938
27Sep 2009 205,179
25Oct 2009 258,900
22Nov 2009 358,303
14Feb 2010 803,977
18Mar 2010 1,000,000
28June 2010 1,500,000
25Sep 2010 2,000,000
18Oct 2010 2,115,547

How did that happen? And how can you do the same thing?

Ray's channel suddenly appeared on the Top 100 Most Subscribed List in early September 2009 with 145K subs - good enough for 91st place. That doesn't just happen. He had been uploading great videos for months before that and was being discovered by other youtubers who subbed and passed the word to others that "You gotta check out this guy's videos." Here's Ray's first available video from April 17, 2009:

He kept uploading videos and just 3 weeks later he broke the 200,000 sub mark just 3 weeks later. By Christmas last year his Equals 3 channel was closing in on 400,000 subscribers. At this point, Ray started posted daily vlogs to a 2nd channel he started called BreakingNYC. This was a great channel, but because of time constraints, Ray stopped posting on it in May 2010. That was too bad because the vlog gave fans of his main channel a chance to see Ray "behind-the-scenes" and a closer look than his Equals 3 persona allows.

Plus there was great music, street scenes from around New York City and appearances by several youtubers. Meekakitty and Ray's roommate TheWillofDC were both featured in many BreakingNYC videos - and the funny thing is that I was subbed to both Meekakitty and TheWillofDC long before I even heard of Ray. If you haven't watched any of the BreakingNYC videos, I'd recommend you do so especially if you are fans of Ray, Meekakitty and Will. The channel still has over half a million subs. Wish it had continued.

Breaking The One Million Subscriber Mark

By February 2010, Ray's main channel was steadily gaining more and more subs and shot from 350K subs at the end of November to over 800,000 in February. Just a month later Equals 3 had 1,000,000 subscribers and was in the Top 10 Most Subscribed of All Time List. To say it was a wild ride would be quite an understatement. As the graph above shows, he steadily gained new subs and just hit the 2 million subscribers mark this past September. Every month of 2010 Ray William Johnson has outpaced all other youtubers averaging about 30,000 new subs each month and should hit the three million mark sometime in 2011. I think he can probably quit his gig at the strip club mens room now.

Below is his latest video dated 12 October, 2010.

He does have another new channel he's started called Your Favorite Martian with just one video uploaded so far (called "Be Patient") lol, c'mon Ray! Get on this! This channel already has 100K subs and will probably jump to half a million when he starts posting on it too.

Here's some more Bradshaw's Blog posts about RayWilliamJohnson.

Hey, and feel free to comment below about Ray's channel, or this blog. Nothing worse than writing something and getting no feedback.

RWJ: Pug-Ugly Dog Sings Batman Theme & Freaky Cows

Ray William Johnson brings us the latest in viral videos on his Equals Three show and heading the list is a little skateboard mishap caught on film when a chunky news reporter ventures out onto the halfpipe at the local skateboard park. I first thought they were going to talk to old bearded dude who was coping a feel each time a boarder zips passed, but then the reporter gets tuned when one kid is trying to skate down the side.

The 2nd video Ray talks about is the cameo from that dog that talked in the movie Men In Black. This freakish pug actually does seem to say "Batman!" several times and they made it into the Batman theme song from the old Adam West show from the 1960s, shown below:

Then, just when you thought it was safe to be out in the country, we get this weird acid trip-like video from cyriak who has these cows dancing to techno. The cows just start bopping to the music and before you know it, well just watch the video. It sorta reminds me of one of those old The Far Side cow cartoons...

The artist who created this video has a website called cyriak.co.uk if you want to check out his other stuff. He does mention that "no cows were injured in the making of this video" which still doesn't help me because what about the damage to me? I'll probably never look at cows the same way again. Stupid, mutating, dancing cows.

Ray William Johnson: Gorilla Suit Man FAIL! And One Mad Goat

What the heck was buddy doing in that gorilla suit anyway? Ray William Johnson's Equals Three (=3 for those who don't know) brings us another great viral video of some buddies filming one of their friends dressed up in the monkey suit (I know, monkeys and gorillas are different, jeez, gimme a break lol) and as he jumps around he pounds his head on a steel gate and just sort of stops all stunned. Is this where the term "monkey shines" came from?

Ray mentions failblog.org which highlighted the gorilla man video. And that is one arguementative goat. I'd probably bop his in the snout if he spat at me like that.

Unfortunately the person who uploaded the male cheerleader video deleted it. I wonder if it was Cubby himself? Thinking "Yes, finally, they'll see... they'll ALL see! I am an AWESOME cheerleader. Hey, did Angela give just give me the eye? Ooh, this is gonna be GREAT!"

You Missed Out On Dave Days & KimmiTalks On BlogTV Last Night

I don't usually going on BlogTV.com very much, but I did really early this morning after DaveDays tweeted that he was going to be on the website and would be playing a new song. He had a pretty girl beside him (no surprise there) but I didn't recognize her. She said her name was Kimmi and that she was from Australia. I did a quick check on Youtube and found her pretty quickly. She is kimmitalks and she has been on YouTube for just over a year and has 27 videos to date. Unfortunately the broadcast probably won't be showing up in Dave's archives for his account at blogtv.com/people/davedays because of the song he and Kimmi listened to, but you might want to sub to his BlogTV channel anyway so you won't miss this the next time he has a broadcast. Makes sense right?

Kimmi has 5,344 subscribers as of today and a bunch of those subbed because of the BlogTV appearance. Basically there was a lot of tomfoolery and a lamp was broken - for the record DaveDays said "FUDGE" and didn't swear. Of course everyone in chat was demanding to know if Kimmi and Dave were now "a thing", but that was quashed and Dave reaffirmed his undying love for some chick named Miley something.

Also, Ray William Johnson crashed the party and brought a bunch of his people into the chat after tweeting about the BlogTV thing on Twitter and apparently also on Facebook. There were at least 600-700 people in there to hear Dave's new song.

Kimmi danced and DaveDays interrupted occasionally to comment on the song "not quite being completed" and sternly telling viewers that had better not be recording it. It was actually quite an animated show that moved between several of the rooms presumably at Dave's apartment. He did use one of my comments at one point, holding just a cardboard head of Miley Cyrus. I commented "Miley, you look like you've lost weight!" because Dave asked for jokes. Well I thought it was funny lol.

Don't know why Kimmi was in the USA or how DaveDays corralled her for this broadcast, but she was sweet and pretty too. I'm guessing she was there partially for VidCon because of the pictures on her DailyBooth. She can also be followed on Twitter @kimmi_smiles. She has just over 1,000 followers on Twitter and was kind enough to tweet me a reply. DaveDays will be dropping his new song in the relatively near future and will have the video accompanying it on YouTube. Also, you can download The Dave Days Show from Amazon (for about $8.99 I believe).

This just in! Check out DaveDays and Kimmitalks new song! DaveDays ~ Olive You With Kimmi Smiles.
