Fans of davedays and kimmitalks (aka Kimmi Smiles) have been asking for Dave to show how to play the song they made together last August called Olive You<-- that's a link to buy it on iTunes.
Dave shows how to play the various parts of the song on acoustic guitar (with an odd emphasis on the G string for some unknown reason). You can also find more about what Dave is up to either by going to his main channel (link above) or his website called (surprise, surprise) davedays.com.
The only drawback with the video is that Dave is a lefty and most people play guitar the opposite way. There's a video idea for you. If you can play Olive You right-handed, you should do a video response to Dave's video played with your right hand.

The Station Gives A Shout Out To 3 Under-Viewed Youtube Channels
Has it already been a week since The Station's last "The Station Is Watching You"? Once again, we are met by our smiling Host with the Most, JoeFelice who features three channels that for whatever reason, haven't found their audiences yet - at least as far as having huge subscriber bases. Take a look:
The first channel is brob444 (aka 22-year-old Brandon Robinson), the music channel reviewed by davedays.
I agree with Joe when he was showing Dave this channel - heavily influenced by Dave's music, which is great, and with enormous listenability IMO. Plus, when you look at the older stuff Brandon has posted, you can see a lot of improvement musically as well as visually. Where will he be 6 months or a year down the line? I dunno, but it should be an interesting journey.
The 2nd channel that "The Station Is Watching You" points us towards is from Kayl Johnson and the channel is thenewsyoushouldknow. I actually have been subbed to Kayl for a while now and give The Station the thumbs up for giving him this shout out. Hear's the video that TheWillofDC was watching:
Will better keep looking over his shoulder because this guy is pretty good. If you don't know who TheWillofDC is, he does several videos each week about YT Winners & Losers (and I've done some posts here on his videos too). But Kayl's videos are good and I like his delivery as well as the scope of what he covers. You can also follow him on Twitter: @KaylJohnson.
The final channel they review is from wendymccolm, who I thought bore a striking resemblence to Alyson Hannigan (maybe it's the red hair), but I hadn't seen her before. Her channel was given the once-over by Michael Gallagher of TotallySketch.
Wendy has about 45 or so videos uploaded to Youtube over the last couple of years and if she takes Gallagher's advice and stops using copyrighted stuff, she'll easily make it into the Youtube Partnership program. You can stalk her over on Twitter at @wendymccolm (and she's got a tumblr account you can check out: wendymccolm.tumblr.com)
So, what do you think of these three picks? And also, how do you think Joe should handle the spammers? Should he listen to Spammy McSpamalot and just choose whomever gets the most plugs from that particular channel's fans?
Also, the opening and closing theme song for "The Station Is Watching You" was done by davidshurrmusic, so give him some comments if you liked his stuff. I thought his take on the theme was pretty good.

DaveDays ~ "Turn Off The Lights" Song For Ecomagination Challenge
It seems that DaveDays is coming out with new songs just about every other week! Actually his most recent video was released about 2 weeks ago, see my post about What Does It Take.
And yes, that was Kimmi (last seen in Dave's Olive You video) and Sammah of "Do It Float?" fame hidin' out in the shower. Actually, Dave credits Sammah and Cyr for doing the filming.
This looks like it may be part of the Ecomagination Challenge and you have to like Dave's style: "yeah, we gotta turn the lights off baby. Don't you wanna save the environment?"
And you can pick up the newest DaveDays song (and his others too) over at davedays/itunes (actually Dave's giving this one away for FREE and that link takes you to his website).

TheWillofDC: Winners & Losers Halloween 2010
I don't know about you, but as a regular viewer of TheWillofDC's Winners & Losers I like how Will did this video rather than his other recent videos with the green screen. That said, there were some interesting developments in the rankings of the Top 100 Youtubers this week and Will lets us know what's what.
The big winner this past week was DieAussenseiter a German YouTube channel that moved up from 80th to 77th place on the overall Top 100. "DieAussenseiter" translates into english as "The Outsider". This does show the growth of the international scope of YouTube and other channels using languages other than primarily English should take heart and receive some motivation to keep working to make more videos and channels in their native languages - there are audiences in every country that want great content in their own language. Below is a Halloween video from DieAussenseiter.
DieAussenseiter is made up of two German brothers: Alexander "Sascha" Koslowski and Dimitri "Dima" Koslowski and their channel now has 437K subscribers and 111 million views! Those are some solid numbers.
According to Will, the biggest loser seems to be therealdemilovato channel which garnered only 2,903 new subscribers over the last 2 weeks and fell to 49th place from 44th. It looks like Demi Lovato's in a new series called Sonny With A Chance (that seems like a re-run of 57 other Disney shows - hope that didn't sound too harsh). They've released a bunch of clips of the series on Demi's channel, but nothing truly unique content-wise, just more from the Disney machine. If you want to see a clip with Shaq, check it out:
Ray William Johnson Got 73,000 New Subscribers?!
Yes, Ray keeps on generating massive numbers in the subscriber race more than doubling Nigahiga's new subscribers 35,013 with RWJ getting 73,252 new subs. That is amazing. Last year when it was Shane Dawson pulling the big numbers, I'm pretty sure even Shane didn't get that many all at once. Ray William Johnson is still about 600,000 behind Nigahiga but Ray's gaining on him fast. It's probably only a matter of time before there's a new number one most subscribed on YouTube.
Also, Fred got passed by Shane Dawson for 3rd overall. Poor Fred who everyone loves to hate was once the big kahuna but he's slipping. His numbers are still solid, but Smosh is breathing down the little guy's neck (Anthony and Ian are about 100K behind Fred).
A couple of other big name Youtubers that Will didn't mention are sxephil and realannoyingorange who are neck and neck for 9th and 10th spots, with collegehumor and davedays both really, really close behind.

DaveDays Latest ~ What Does It Take
Jeez, every time I turn around davedays has another great new song coming out! He just had Olive You and here's a new one.
Liking all the pictures - quite a few famous Youtubers Dave of course, Miley Cyrus, Shay Carl, Kevjumba, a bunch of people from theStation, I'm pretty sure I spotted Kimmitalks in there too. If you want, leave a note in the comments of who you spotted.
According to the video, Dave says this is just a "lyrics video" and he will be uploading the real video for this song shortly. When he does, I'll add it to this post and Twitter about it so you can find it - although you can get it if you sub to his channel.
Here's where you can find the song on iTunes: What Does It Take.
There are other songs and videos by DaveDays on Bradshaw's Blog if you want to take a look. Most have links to iTunes and back to Dave's channel for those posted before this blog started.

10 Rules To Survive The Coming Zombie Apocalypse According To Kimmitalks
Have you put any thought or preparation into how you might survive an onslaught of the evil undead? Here are a couple of videos from kimmitalks with some hard and fast rules on what you need to survive a zombie apocalypse.
Do you agree with her ideas in this video? I have to agree about her first rule about not following a crowd. It would be somewhat easier for a hungry flesh-munching dead guy to infiltrate a large crowd and pick off an unsuspecting stragler with a few well-placed bites in the confusion of everyone rushing around. Not to mention being dragged off if you are on the sidelines of a very large group, so stay low and keep wary.
Lol at the part where she's talking about burning zombies with a flame-thrower. "Ah, no! A hoard of 50 flaming zombies coming at you! Noooo!" Also, there's the fuel problem with a flame-thrower. They use a lot of fuel, so you don't want that as your primary weapon against a group of zombies. It might be good for short term combat, but not long fights.
The part about armor is good advice too because it slows you down considerably and if you have some swift movin' zombies pounce on you, you will not make it as they paw and pull off your armor. Maybe some chainmail or teflon, but not full body stuff because of the lack of mobility.
You might also want to pick up a copy of The Zombie Combat Manual: A Guide to Fighting the Living Dead, as well as these other books on battling zombies
.
Kimmi split this "survival tutorial" into two clips because the length of her videos total about 10 minutes and two smaller vids are a bit more easily digested (that almost sounds like a bad zombie joke).
Being fleet of foot is also an attribute you want to have, so good running shoes is another priority. And keeping silent. You don't want to be talking loudly or shouting and making noises that will draw the attention of any nearby undead. So another reason to avoid chainsaws and cars.
I also liked the part where she's slams davedays for his "touchy-feely" attitude about those zombified people having rights and feelings lol. I think Dave would change his tune (lol music joke) immediately upon having a zombie trying to munch on his arm. How could he feel remorse for the evil undead if they are trying to eat him?
I think poor Dave is thinking in the wrong terms and while trying to reason with one zombie another would creep up and start chomping him. I think Dave may then end up needing the book Zombies for Zombies: Advice and Etiquette for the Living Dead which starts off So, you've been bitten by a zombie? Bummer. and goes on to give some good zombie recipes, zombie fashion tips, skin-care techniques to help ward off "rotting flesh syndrome" and as an added bonus - dance steps for the motor-impaired. Hopefully not gonna happen, but sometimes ya gotta make do.
Kimmi also mentioned she has a new channel that you might want to subscribe to called kimmi and you can trade zombie tips with her on Twitter @KimmiSmiles.

Brittani Louise Taylor's Ecomagination Backyard Camping Adventure
Going camping is always fun and there's always something happening that is unplanned and when Brittani Louise Taylor decides to take on one of the Ecomagination challenges suggested by her viewers by camping in her friend's backyard, there are some mishaps.
It's kinda funny when you find out that someone who you are subbed to on YouTube is friends with someone else you have subscribed to on the website. I've been subbed to Brigitte Dale for quite some time and had no idea that she was friends with Brittani Louise Taylor until this video. You should sub to her too because she's a wee bit quirky and puts up some interesting videos. Brittani and Brigette decide to camp in (I'm guessing) Brigette's backyard along with Shane Dawson and Joey Anderton, but first they have to assemble the tent and that didn't go quite as smoothly as you would think.
Plus there was the added problem of sprinklers going off and the girls and the tent got soaked. Typical hardships most campers would face lol. But they survived the wilds of the backyard and completed another Go Green challenge for Ecomagination.
If you want to see what other youtubers have uploaded for this challenge, check ecomagination.com/tagyourgreen and watch DaveDays, Auburn, DeStorm, iJustine, Nice Peter, Philip DeFranco and a bunch of other youtubers have contributed.

Kimmi Smiles With An Update & Her Team Beard Supernote
Have to admit that I think kimmitalks (or Kimmi Smiles) is just the cutest. She seems genuinely happy to be making YouTube videos. Take a quick look at the following:
It does sound like she is going to be busy for the next little while and will have to space out her future videos because of school and that's okay. Nothing wrong with concentrating on doing well in school. When she does post the video about surviving the upcoming zombie apocalypse, I'll be sure to include it here too.
I had thought that I was already subbed to her YouTube channel but found out I wasn't (fixed that just now) but I was following her on Twitter (she's at KimmiSmiles on Twitter). I started following her there after I posted about her & davedays on BlogTV in July, but somehow I didn't sub to her channel - but like I said - fixed now.
And in case you somehow missed it, Kimmi and Dave made a great video called Olive You about a month ago and available at iTunes (go buy it now - RIGHT NOW!)
Also, it looks like Kimmi took the Supernote challenge and joined Team Beard (and no, she's not required to grow a beard to be a member of Wheezy Waiter's Supernote team). Her video with her Supernote is shown below.
And on a personal note to Kimmi (if she ever reads this), don't worry so much, your subs will still be here when you can start posting again after your exams and stuff. Just worry about doing well at university because that's what's important.

DaveDays ~ Olive You With Kimmi Smiles
Just in case you haven't checked out the latest song from DaveDays here it is.
It's called Olive You (that's a link to it on iTunes) and features lovely ms Kimmi Smiles (aka KimmiTalks).
One question: Has Dave forsaken a certain Mylie Cyrus for the pretty Australian singer? Probably not - Dave seems to have that smitten look whenever he's thinking about Mylie.
I liked the parts where you see Kimmi getting a piggy-back ride from Dave and then later you see him getting one too. Had to laugh at that. So far this video has already received over a million views on Youtube, so a big congrats on that for Dave & Kimmi. Here's hoping the song does very well.
And if you are unfamiliar with DaveDays' music (what? how? why?) you can also get it on Amazon: DaveDays MP3

You Missed Out On Dave Days & KimmiTalks On BlogTV Last Night
I don't usually going on BlogTV.com very much, but I did really early this morning after DaveDays tweeted that he was going to be on the website and would be playing a new song. He had a pretty girl beside him (no surprise there) but I didn't recognize her. She said her name was Kimmi and that she was from Australia. I did a quick check on Youtube and found her pretty quickly. She is kimmitalks and she has been on YouTube for just over a year and has 27 videos to date. Unfortunately the broadcast probably won't be showing up in Dave's archives for his account at blogtv.com/people/davedays because of the song he and Kimmi listened to, but you might want to sub to his BlogTV channel anyway so you won't miss this the next time he has a broadcast. Makes sense right?
Kimmi has 5,344 subscribers as of today and a bunch of those subbed because of the BlogTV appearance. Basically there was a lot of tomfoolery and a lamp was broken - for the record DaveDays said "FUDGE" and didn't swear. Of course everyone in chat was demanding to know if Kimmi and Dave were now "a thing", but that was quashed and Dave reaffirmed his undying love for some chick named Miley something.
Also, Ray William Johnson crashed the party and brought a bunch of his people into the chat after tweeting about the BlogTV thing on Twitter and apparently also on Facebook. There were at least 600-700 people in there to hear Dave's new song.
Kimmi danced and DaveDays interrupted occasionally to comment on the song "not quite being completed" and sternly telling viewers that had better not be recording it. It was actually quite an animated show that moved between several of the rooms presumably at Dave's apartment. He did use one of my comments at one point, holding just a cardboard head of Miley Cyrus. I commented "Miley, you look like you've lost weight!" because Dave asked for jokes. Well I thought it was funny lol.
Don't know why Kimmi was in the USA or how DaveDays corralled her for this broadcast, but she was sweet and pretty too. I'm guessing she was there partially for VidCon because of the pictures on her DailyBooth. She can also be followed on Twitter @kimmi_smiles. She has just over 1,000 followers on Twitter and was kind enough to tweet me a reply. DaveDays will be dropping his new song in the relatively near future and will have the video accompanying it on YouTube. Also, you can download The Dave Days Show from Amazon (for about $8.99 I believe).
This just in! Check out DaveDays and Kimmitalks new song! DaveDays ~ Olive You With Kimmi Smiles.

Charles Trippy & Alli Speed's Panel At VidCon
This is a massive video from Charles Trippy and Alli Speed while they are at VidCon. Charles and Alli discuss their daily vlog series CTFxC which is now up to day 436! One answer Alli gave to an audience member asking how long they plan on doing their vlog was "FOREVER!" That drew a large amount of applause from the crowd.
Also on hand were the usual band of misfits including hiimrawn who got the day started by showing up on stage wearing a housecoat and haranguing the audience asking "What are you doing here THIS EARLY?" before tossing the robe aside to reveal a pair of tighty-whiteys and strapping on his accordian and playing before the appreciative audience.
Towards the end the stage was taken over by a bunch of talented youtubers (including davedays, Hank Green from one of my favorite channels: vlogbrothers, tayzonday) pumping up the crowd with some songs.
