How could someone like me be an impassioned enemy of Obamacare? From what I've read and understand, it's possible that Obamacare could help me in the short run but harm me in the long run when I become eligible for Medicare. And thus I opposed the bill and hope it's repealed.

Who will the public blame when it is almost impossible to get emergency room treatment and ordinary White people start dying because there were too many illegal alien Mexicans in the line ahead of them? In parts of southern Arizona, a number of obstetrics and gynecology clinics had to close because the illegal aliens bankrupted them. A pregnant White American woman would literally be endangering her life if she stayed at her home in certain parts of Arizona due to the long drive necessary to find a clinic that hadn't been put out of business by Mexicans.

Shaping the Story on Iran

philip giraldi

There have been recent reports that Iran has enabled the travel of al-Qaeda leaders to Afghanistan and Pakistan where they will be able to confront and kill American soldiers.  If you think you have heard the story before, you have, in another context.  In the earlier rendition it was Saddam Hussein who was hand-in-glove with al-Qaeda, helping the group in its nefarious planning to attack the United States and kill Americans.  Saddam, who was in reality only a threat to his own people, was on the receiving end of a barrage of fabricated information claiming that he was secretly developing weapons of mass destruction and clandestinely dealing with the terrorists who were responsible for 9/11.  Or so the story goes.  And now it is Iran's turn and the story and the storytellers are exactly the same.

They may think they are still in control, still the smart ones looking down at upstarts like the leaders of Turkey and Brazil who had the audacity to ignore U.S. warnings and press ahead with diplomacy to head off a possible new war, this one over Iran.

What the WASPs Lost

The block I've lived on these past 35 years is next to what no less a Manhattan authority like Woody Allen has called the most beautiful street in the city. This time of year the elms and poplar trees give my block a country feeling, which for me is as good as it gets. Country living in a city is what it's all about. An English writer once described the place as being without trees, "but as if by a miracle little heaps of twigs and blown leaves gather in the gutters." Looking out my window I wonder what city she was referring to. The Bagel is leafier than London, at least where I live, so there. The copper church roofs glisten at sunset, the lights come on at the Rockefeller Plaza, the lambent air intoxicates, the theatre crowds, the pretty girls in their summer frocks, all give promises of sex and summer. This is Manhattan at its best.

My job is to fly lights, sound, and video—-not to judge the artists. My crew chief said this a dozen times. After all, I was paid well, enjoyed fine meals and plush hotel rooms, had fantastic adventures on the streets of Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Melbourne, and Auckland, and I only had to wear a BEP t-shirt one time—-when my laundry was dirty. Still, the damage is evident.

Planet Chomsky vs. Dershowitz's Orbit

Posted: 20 May 2010 12:55 AM PDT

The Israeli Interior Ministry on Sunday denied entry to Jewish American linguist Prof. Noam Chomsky turning him back from the Allenby Bridge border crossing in the Jordan Valley.  Seemingly, the moral ash cloud that is pouring out of the morbid Jewish ghetto known as Israel  is not going to clear. It is there to stay.

On the face of it, Chomsky's border incident shouldn't take us by surprise. Israel is the Jewish state and as such it operates as a synagogue of great magnitude.  The synagogue is an exclusive entity, it only allows in those who fit. The synagogue is neither democratic nor liberal, it is actually subject to tribal judgments that have very little to do with ethics or universalism.

The return of the colonial: Laor's "The Myths of Liberal Zionism" reviewed

Posted: 20 May 2010 12:06 AM PDT

The West has been sold a bill of goods. Burnished bronzed Jewish soldiery protecting settlers founding kibbutzim in a decadent, violent backwater in the Near East, terraforming the desert into farmland, steadfastly creating a cosmopolitan outpost in the center of Barbary -- beautiful, innocent, pure, a perfect redemption for the West's historical sins against European Jewry. Decent if saccharine and overwrought ad-copy for Zionism, and it's gone over well for decades in Paris, New York, Brussels and Berlin. Like most ad-copy, it has been dishonest. Unlike most ad-copy, it is outright mendacious, something like 1940s cigarette ads advertising tobacco's salubrious effects. And Zionist intellectuals are having increasing trouble covering up an increasingly evident truth: that Zionism should be slapped with a label reading: caution, settler-colonialism, type two -- ethnic cleansing and extermination -- this ideology may be harmful to the native population.

A Proxy War in Peru

Posted: 19 May 2010 11:45 PM PDT

Last Easter, as the rains subsided in the Peruvian Amazon, the rivers and roads opened up and campaign season began. "There are two groups fighting for control of our land," one aspirant told a crowded plaza halfway through Good Friday celebrations in Imacita, a river port deep in the northern jungle. "One represents big business and industry. The other protects the environment and stands up for the poor."

The speaker was Joel Shimpukat, a 44 year-old Awajun Indian schoolteacher. This was his first speech in the run up to October's regional elections, in which Shimpukat hopes to capture the district mayor's seat. He alternated between Spanish and his native Awajun for the benefit of a mixed audience, echoing in form and content the bipolar politics that resonate across Peru and most of Latin America. Lambasting the gold mining and oil exploration underway nearby, he finished with a fist in the air: "We must never forget June 5!"

Getting The Military On Our Side?

Posted: 19 May 2010 11:08 PM PDT

In comments beneath my post yesterday asking whether American was coming apart at the seams, several of those commenting felt it would be critical for Whites to have the military on their side in the event of any attempt by Whites to separate themselves from this sick and dying country.

My concern is this, while I have the greatest respect for those currently serving or who have served, in my experience they are often the most radical of the radically racially egalitarian. The reasons for this strike me as fairly commonsensical, as I wrote in my piece "Norming The Exceptional" the vast majority of military folk have very little idea just how much of a role IQ plays in military admissions, here is Steve Sailer making the same point…
