This demonstrates to me that Islam militantism is just a tool to fight more serious hidden issues. If you take the case of Algeria: the country is enormously petrol rich and the population is dirt poor, while they see the leaders swimming in outrageous wealth! So they use all means for fighting that. When the population is reasonably well to do, islamism does not take strong roots: Tunisia, Turky. For the case of Senegal everybody know that anybody can legally fight the government an win. So no need to go to islamism, although the senegalese population practice Islam much better that many Arab countries. Also we do not get into misinterpretation of Islam whether is by accident or in purpose!
Look in other countries such as Congo, people also fight for their rights, but since Islam is not strong there, the international media do not call them Islam militants. The think the West should walk away from clichés and analyse the real problems! Some articles are just pathetic! Unless it is done on purpose to mislead the masses!
