Charles Trippy's "Zombie Kid Doctor!" With Some Behind The Scenes Stuff

A while back, around the end of VidCon 2011, Charles Trippy was doing a sequel to his Doctor Zombay video which he posted on his personal channel charlestrippy (as opposed to his CTFxC channel) and filmed it at Shay Carl's house while they were in L.A. And yes, that is Princesstard as Trippy the policeman's step-daughter.



If you want to see some behind the scenes stuff about while they were making this video, both Charles and Shay included some footage (loved the part of a leather-lunged Princesstard screaming). First, here's the CTFxC video as they were leaving VidCon and doing some filming. Doctor Zombay is Ben and Dr Chris are both from RuinTheInternet. The daughter is of course Princesstard from the Shaytards and her mom is played by Alli Speed (CTFxC).



Also, Shay Carl included some footage and behind the scenes stuff on the Shaytards vlog just around the same time so watch that too.

Shay Carl Invades Lollapalooza

Not your usual Shaytards video! In case you didn't already know, Lollapolooza is happening right now (if you're reading this later, um, I guess you missed out) and Shay Carl, Charles and Alli from CTFxC, and even KassemG are all backstage watching the bands perform (Kassem is wearing an odd tank top which I think almost got him arrested). If you want to see what it's like up close and personal to the stage area, watch this. Just try to avoid the punch-happy security guys (or who I like to call Fisty, Stabby and Punchy). "Who's that other guy with the beard?" you're asking? That's Shay's brother Casey who also has a channel on Youtube (caseylavere) so take a look at his channel too. Somewhere in this crowd is Lisa Nova (I think that might be Lisa at 9:30 putting on the glasses) although she made a pre-Lollapolooza video: LollapaLISA!).

Shay Carl And Charles Trippy After VidCon: No Rest For The Youtubers

Even though VidCon is over, Shay Carl and Charles Trippy are still hard at work making videos. This one is just a behind the scenes type of thing with a guest appearance by Rocktard whp will not part with his gum (and gum wrapper). It's always cute seeing Shay with the kids and you can tell they are his world.



It looks like Charles will be playing a cop. I was wondering about the cop shirt when they came on. He is supposed to be Princesstard's step-dad and he does look the part (well, except for the earrings lol). VidCon just finished and these guys are already back at it pumping out the vids.

CTFxC's Behind The Scenes At VidCon

Here's a little of the VidCon experience through the lens of Charles Trippy's CTFxC as he and Alli take in the fun in L.A. It's always cool seeing all the various Youtubers floating around in the background in these gatherings. I spotted Philip DeFranco leading that game of Ninja and of course Shay Carl getting his beard handed to him in the basketball game with Charles and iJustine yawning as they were preparing to go on stage.

I liked how Shay's various tardlets wandered into the room first thing in the morning. During the trip through the kitchen I noticed IJ was filming in this video as well as the Shaytards' video so I'll keep an eye out for that one.



It was funny when Charles was pointing out where last year's VidCon took place and there was a party "down there" and the "Chubby Bunny Challenge" (see: The Chubby Bunny Challenge: Enter At Own Risk from last year).

If you didn't get a chance to go to Los Angeles you can still see some of what has been posted on the official VidCon channel (I saw Charlieissocoollike drop his pants when I stopped by earlier and there's lots of music. I will be watching for VidCon videos from others that will be posted in the days ahead.

Shay Carl Behind the Scenes At Vidcon

In case you don't know, a little gathering of online folks has been taking place in L.A. known as "Vidcon" and here Shay Carl and the Shaytards are vlogging about the shindig. Shay and the family are going to be on stage (hopefully Shay won't throw Rocktard out into the audience like last year) and if you watch the video you will likely see all sorts of the top Youtubers. First there's KassemG, Michael Buckley from his "What The Buck Show", iJustine, Tobuscus, MysteryGuitarMan, CTFxC (Charles Trippy and Alli Speed) and many others passing by the camera.



Now don't you wish you had bought a ticket? It unfortunately sold out in early May. If you're thinking ahead to Vidcon 2012 it is still a long way away and the location and other stuff has not been worked out, but you better plan on buying your ticket as soon as they become available.

The Shaytards Give Away Two Flip Cameras

Once again it's "One Take Sunday" with the Shaytards and they have a whole slew of announcements, including that they are going to pick the winners of the two flip cameras that they promised a while back.



Also, Shay's appearance on the television series No Ordinary Family should be March 22nd. He plays a security guard just in case you didn't know.

And it looks like the whole Shaytards clan will be making their way over to Florida for PlayList Live which runs from March 26-27th. There are going to be a ton of Youtubers present including Wheezy Waiter, KassemG, Lisa Nova, Timothy DeLaGhetto, Michell Davis & Kyle Sibert (LiveLavaLive), Mystery Guitar Man, iJustine, MeekaKitty, Charles Trippy & Alli Speed of CTFxC and too many more to mention. One other thing about Playlist Live is that they are going to be giving away free tickets, so that's another reason to check out their website.

Why Do You Watch The Shaytards?

There are some people who wonder why anyone would bother watching a daily vlog about a family living in Idaho just going about the lives and uploading extra-long videos on Youtube. Well, I am one of those who watch the Shaytards EVERY day because of the guy in the following clip:



I don't know Shay Carl personally, and haven't had the chance to meet him yet, but I consider him a friend simply because of these glimpses he allows into his life. Shay is so devoted to his family and it shows in that video (as for once he is left almost speechless) as he's "thinking about his little daughter asleep in her bed".

In case you are not a regular viewer of the Shaytards, you may not know what he was talking about. The picture on the cover of James Blunt's album is a one Shay's wife Katilette took of Shay tossing his youngest daughter (called Babytard in the videos) in the air and he proudly was watching Blunt's Tonight Show appearance.

This video was not uploaded on the family's Shaytard channel where most of their videos are seen, but on their iPhone channel called iphoneTARD. You need to subscribe to that channel to see bonus videos like this.

That's why I am subscribed to the Shaytards.

Shay Carl Pledges To Lose 40 Pounds By March 5th

I was just watching the video below from the Shaytards and it looks like Shay Carl is going to try to shed a little bit of his excess Shay:



For those of us who are longtime viewers of the Shaytards, we know Shay has been trying over the years to drop some tonnage (and even started a channel back in early November 2009 called ShayLoss) it has been difficult for the big guy. According to what he said in the vlog he hopes to lose 40 pounds by his 31st birthday (it's already almost Shay's birthday again?) which is March 5th.

Shay is actually very active for a heavier dude as you can tell by his Shaytards vlogs and always doing healthy stuff with Mommytard and the tardlets. His problem, like most of us is that he likes food a lot.

I for one knew he was planning something along these lines because I follow him on Twitter (follow him here: @shaycarl). He has been tweeting with @phillyd (Philip DeFranco) and others about working out and stuff. Phil is also trying to drop some weight and it looks like it is Game On between Shay, Phil and some others. If you want to try to lose a handle here or there or just offer support to them, let them know (either on Twitter or on their videos).

And here's the video where Phil DeFranco Challenges Shay to lose weight over the next 30 days, starting on January 31st. The stakes are that whomever loses the least has to pay $2,000 to the other's charity of choice. Solid wager there. Phil said in the video that he wants to lose about 15 pounds, but if you watched the Shaytards' video Shay said he could probably lose 15 pounds in just a few days. I think Phil may lose this one, but still, the winner will be whichever charity ends up getting the moola. It will be interesting to watch them battle it out.

Shaytards: Rocktard's Starting To Crawl And Mommytard Gets A Little Loopy

Watching Shay Carl playing with his son, little Rocktard, it is hard to believe it is only about 7 months since Shay and Mommytard went to the hospital to have the little guy. If you haven't seen the video of when Rocktard was born (you aren't a real Shaytards fan unless you've seen this video), here's a link to the Bradshaw's Blog post I did about it: Shaytards Clan Welcomes A New Member. Seeing how alert and all smiley-faced he is now and how he is sooo close to actually crawling, it's hard to imagine watching a Shaytards video without catching a glimpse of the youngest tardlet.



Watching this video you know it's just a matter of time before Rocktard will be scampering after his older brother and sisters and getting into some sort of mischief.

And poor Mommytard had to visit the dentist again. Katilette was downright loopy after getting her crown put on. Even under the influence of the laughing gas she's still PDC ("Pretty Darn Cute" as Shay would say) and you have to laugh when she called him her "suger daddy" for footing the bill.

If you didn't see the video Katilette uploaded yesterday of her and Carli at the gym, you would have missed Rocktard's attempts to crawl, but you can really see he's a little mover now. Here's a link if you missed it: Katilette at the gym with Carli.

Shaytards: Apparently Shay Has A Large Package

Um, that would mean Shay went to the post office and received something in the mail, not what you were thinking. But before that, there's a little bit of fun at home with the Shaytards. I don't know why Shay's sister Carlie (the hot blonde with the, um, blue teeth) doesn't have a channel of her own yet. She seems like a hoot. She did have one a while back but deleted it because she didn't like the negative comments. But she does seem like a natural performer like Shay.



I was a little ill at ease watching the tardlets jumping down the stairs, but I knew Shay would catch them (and more importantly the kids trust him to be there to catch them).

I think the funniest part had to be when Shay went to the Post Office and desperately tried to explain the procedures involved when they receive a large package that won't fit in your box. Can you imagine that conversation?
The postal worker says something like "Well hello Shay! I see you have a large package today" as Shay tries to stifle a giggle. That was a cool head mount he received. I think I watched a video over on the CTFxC channel where Charles Trippy bought one just before he went on a snow boarding trip.

Check Out This Channel Right Now! The Partners Project With Shira Lazar

Here at the spacious offices and corporate headquarters of Bradshaw's Blog (okay, there's no "we", there's just me) we are always on the lookout for interesting new channels and there's a brand new channel that you will be subscribed to shortly. It is called The Partners Project and it has been up and running only since around December 7, 2010 but it looks like it should be a winner. They have been posting some great videos featuring several of the top Youtubers like Shay Carl, iJustine and in the video below, one of my favorites, MysterGuitarMan.



The host is the tres pretty Shira Lazar who has done some work with the The Huffington Post, CBSNews.com and now she's got this Youtube gig. She's also a Canadian girl (from Montreal) so I gotta give her props.

In the above video for the Partners Project channel she interviews Joe Penna (MGM) about his Youtube career and what brought him to the level of success he's enjoyed to this point and what the future holds for him on Youtube and elsewhere. Actually I think this was a first-rate introduction to one of the most popular people currently on Youtube and look forward to seeing more interviews with other famous youtubers. So far Shira's interviewed Shay Carl, iJustine and The Annoying Orange. One cool part about the channel is that along with interviews with these top youtubers, the channel has them giving some "Youtube Pro Tips" on how to be successful (along with behind the scenes stuff from the interviews). Really think this might be a nice addition to what we get on Youtube and help viewers get to know their favorite youtubers just a bit better.

Oh Snap! It's The Shaytards 8th Wedding Anniversary

Not only is this video the 700th video that the Shaytards have uploaded to Youtube, but it is also the 8th Wedding Anniversary of Shay Carl and Katilette (aka Mommytard). I'll bet neither one could have possibly dreamed that this would be what they were going to be doing when they got hitched back in the day. What is the gift usually associated with the 8th year of marriage? Do people actually give gifts based on that stuff? According to what I've Googled (hey, I don't know this girly stuff! I'm a dude! Ask me about football or hockey!) um, yeah, the 8th wedding anniversary is usually celebrated with bronze. Sorta like you get a 3rd place medal for making it this far in your married life. You get past the fabled "seven year itch" and you get a bronze medal. Not that I think Shay or Katilette had to worry about a 7 year itch because they obviously really love each other. But let's go to the footage:



One thing, I didn't know that they had Malachi before they even had Sontard, so their dog is actually getting up there and is about 8-9 years old because they celebrated Sontard's 7th Birthday last month.

But more importantly, Shay and Mommytard get to head out for a romantic night and leave the tardlets in the capable hands of Shay's sister Carlie. It was nice seeing Katilette doing some singing again and I didn't know she had a brother. She looked hot when she was singing too! Can I say she looked hot? She's a married woman with 4 small kids. I don't care, yes, Mommytard looked very pretty. I'm sure Shay would agree that his wife is a total hottie lol. Shay! Post more videos of Mommytard singing! Also it was nice getting a glimpse at Katilette's extended family and of course Sontard had to bust a move when the music started lol.

That part at the end when they were at Twin Falls Idaho, I'd have to say I am on Mommytard's side. I like the height but don't want to get too close to the edge. Not like Carlie who looked like she was going to hop the fence. Beautiful sight all the way down to the river and that water looked very cold.

Shaytards Christmas Extravaganza: It's Shaytastic!

Here's the long-awaited Shaytards Christmas Special. It clocks in at a whopping 37 minutes, but for fans of Shay Carl, Katilette and the various tardlets, it is just the right length for a Shaytards video. Come spend Christmas with the number one family on Youtube:



Shay was promising this extra-long Shaytards video for a few days now and it was definitely worth the wait. Loved the parts at the skate board ramp/gym with just about every tard bouncing and jumping all over the place. I was also impressed by Shay and his brothers and sister with the handstands. Gotta give kudos to Casey for holding his hand stand the longest. One thing I like about these videos is that the whole family gets involved, even Grampa and Grandma tard. They all seem to be having fun and it is good exercise for the entire clan.

Liking the tradition of everyone wearing the same pajamas too. The kids looked too cute (as well as Mommytard and her sisters-in-law), but the guys took the cake.

Shaytards: Idaho Football, Hot Chicks And Sontard Turns Seven

Looks like Shay Carl and the whole Shaytards clan are off to watch a little Idaho football as Boise State takes on Utah State. You can find out more here about the Boise-Utah game.



First Shay had to take the tardlets for a dip in the pool and Babytard just about explodes with excitement to get swimming. Lol at little Cooper (Shay's nephew) when Shay's brother shows him how to swim and Cooper starts swimming in mid-air. Then off they go to the Big Game.

The football game was pretty good (a blue football field?) and the home team won which was good. Right at the end, we get to see Sontard celebrating his birthday. Hard to believe he's already seven! Before Shay and Katilette know it, they'll be watching Sontard playing football in college. Let's see, that would mean Shay would be doing the Shaytards vlog in about 12 years! I think Shay just shuddered at the thought that they will still be filming in 12 years, but we'll probably all still be watching.

Shaytards Date Night And The Princesstard Diaries

Shay Carl and Katilette have decided to have a little "Date Night" and turned filming of the Shaytards over to little Princesstard.



While Shay and Mommytard are out having a little much-needed "us" time, we get to see a young filmmaker learning the ropes as a Youtube vlogger as Princesstard turns the Shaytards' camera on her brothers and sister. Sontard of course starts bustin' moves all over the place as soon as the camera is on him and Babytard is her usual giggly bundle of cuteness. Even Rocktard seems happy for a little face time in front of the camera.

At around 4:30 or so when she was telling us that the babysitter didn't want to be filmed, all I could think was that Princesstard was doing her vlogging with a "Toby Turner-esque" flair and kept waiting for her to say "outro of darkness, then redness, then whiteness, then Princesstardness".

I liked that idea that Shay was floating called "Sneaky Snacks" where people load up on snacks and food and stuff to sneak into the movie theater when they are going to see a film. Of course then movie prices would have to go up if the theaters had a massive decline in popcorn and snack sales. Still, not a bad business idea. And loves Shay's showing us "the Rudy of water fountains" (Rudy of course being that movie of the kid who wanted desperately to play football for the University of Notre Dame - excellent movie).

Yup, I agree with Shay's assessment of Princesstard's vlogging abilities. She's gunnin' for your job Shay!

Shay Carl And Wheezy Waiter Behind The Scenes

So glad Shay Carl FINALLY made it across the border into Canada and the first half of this video is Shay wandering aimlessly around Chicago's O'Hare Airport before he lands in Toronto and meets up with Wheezy Waiter and Corey Vidal.



It looks like Shay, Wheezy and Corey are planning on doing a Christmas video wearing Santa Claus costumes, but first they stop off at Toys-R-Us to pick up a bunch of toys to use in the video. They mention that they are going to donate the toys afterwards which is cool.

Wheezy of course has to get one in of his patented hand stands on the elevator on the way up to the top of the CN tower (check out the concerned woman watching from the corner of the elevator, lol).

Wheezy Waiter And Explosion Wednesday ~ Canadian Style!

Wheezy Waiter is still in Canada (and will be for the reainder of the week apparently) and he and Corey Vidal are just waiting for a large bearded man from Idaho who is currently enroute. There may be another meetup in Toronto according to Shay Carl.



Interesting fact about Canadian scientists inventing the carbon dioxide laser and shame on Corey for telling everyone that all Canadians have one. We're not supposed to tell anyone outside of other Canadians about that! Next thing you know he'll be telling Wheezy about our super-secret time machine that runs solely on maple syrup and back bacon. And a thumbs up for working a plug for Tim Hortons into the video.

Wheezy Waiter: ACTION STAR?!

Hard as it may be to imagine, but Wheezy also has a burgeoning film career (take that Ryan Reynolds! Maybe Scarlett Johansson will now realize the error of her ways) and appears as a kickbutt action hero in the clip below. Oh, and there's a dude dressed like a giant tongue.



That's Morgan the Orabrush Tongue Guy in an episode I like to call Wheezy and the Tongue. In case you couldn't tell, one of the best youtubers at special effects, Freddie Wong helped out on this "Black Ops" episode.

Wheezy Waiter Takes Toronto By Storm But Where's Shay?

There was a Youtube Gathering in Toronto on November 16, 2010 and those Canadian fans of Wheezy Waiter were able to see him live and in person (unless that was actually a clone and original Wheezy stayed home). He does appear to be on Canadian soil as evidenced by the Celine Dion music playing when he rolls into view:



It was good to see Wheezy made it to the gathering and giving fellow youtuber Corey Vidal a shout out in his video. Just to clarify, yes there was a War of 1812, yes, Canada and the U.S. fought each other (mostly to a standstill) and Ontario at the time was called the Province of Upper Canada, while Quebec was named Lower Canada. The States did invade and got whupped something fierce and the Canadians (not the hockey team) invaded Washington D.C. and torched the White House. After peace was declared (the treaty of Ghent: I knew that without looking it up), because it took so long to for news to travel British troops landed and attacked New Orleans and got their butts handed to them (there's an old song called The Battle of New Orleans by Johnny Horton).

But enough of this dang history lesson. You've probably skipped that paragraph out of boredom anyway.

Looks like a pretty good crowd showed up and there should be some videos being posted by Canadian youtubers getting all giddy about meeting Wheezy. Shay Carl was supposed to come too and that would have been great, seeing Shay and Wheezy, the 2 most famous beards on Youtube together, but I guess that will have to wait until VidCon 2.0 (possibly this summer? Ask John or Hank Green about it).

Shay was having problems getting his new passport in order and had to re-schedule his meetup but in the video below he has some good news about heading to Toronto this coming weekend.



So, good news! Shay Carl will be coming to Toronto after all! But we do see Wheezy actually doing a handstand outside (like he promised) while at the YT Gathering. What I like is that we get to see a bunch of others trying to show off their handstanding abilities, like Corey Vidal, but no one can match the wicked stills of Charles Ni. Good job Charles!



And CTFxC FTW! For the dude named John at 0:35 who tries and almost body slams himself for the CTFxC shirt!

Shay Carl Update On The Toronto Trip And In Case You Didn't Know, Babytard Is The Cutest Youtuber Ever

Poor Shay Carl looks beat when the video starts while the Shaytards clan is watching Sontard's basketball game. Towards the end of the video Shay updates us on whether he can make it to the Toronto Youtube gather November 16, 2010 (if your reading this after that date, um, nevermind).



Without a doubt little Babytard is PDP as Shay would say. She's really starting to talk more and more. And that chair they found does look like her. Shay: "Is that not Babytard?" Babytard: "YES!!"

After they returned from the store Shay tried desperately to explain why he might not be able to make it to the Toronto gathering because of the passport problem, but says if we check his Twitter account (@shaycarl) he will let us know if he can make it or not. Hopefully the passport folks will get their stuff straightened out, but if he can't make it Shay did say he would make a point of stopping in Toronto for a meetup at a later date.

The Gathering will still go ahead (Wheezy Waiter will be there from what I've heard and Corey Vidal) but I'm betting we'll see Shay too.

When Beards Collide: Shay Carl And Wheezy Waiter In Toronto

There is a YouTube Gathering November 16, 2010 in Toronto Canada and it looks like both shaycarl and Wheezy Waiter will be putting in appearances. So if you are the Toronto area on Tuesday, you have a chance to meets the two most famous bearded youtubers. It looks like Corey Vidal will be there too. And knowing the rabid Wheezy and Shaytards fans out there, expect quite a crowd.

So, here is the info you'll need:

Date: Tuesday, November 16th
Place: Downtown Toronto - Dundas Square.
Time: 4 PM. See you there?
