CTFxC's Behind The Scenes At VidCon

Here's a little of the VidCon experience through the lens of Charles Trippy's CTFxC as he and Alli take in the fun in L.A. It's always cool seeing all the various Youtubers floating around in the background in these gatherings. I spotted Philip DeFranco leading that game of Ninja and of course Shay Carl getting his beard handed to him in the basketball game with Charles and iJustine yawning as they were preparing to go on stage.

I liked how Shay's various tardlets wandered into the room first thing in the morning. During the trip through the kitchen I noticed IJ was filming in this video as well as the Shaytards' video so I'll keep an eye out for that one.



It was funny when Charles was pointing out where last year's VidCon took place and there was a party "down there" and the "Chubby Bunny Challenge" (see: The Chubby Bunny Challenge: Enter At Own Risk from last year).

If you didn't get a chance to go to Los Angeles you can still see some of what has been posted on the official VidCon channel (I saw Charlieissocoollike drop his pants when I stopped by earlier and there's lots of music. I will be watching for VidCon videos from others that will be posted in the days ahead.

Shay Carl Behind the Scenes At Vidcon

In case you don't know, a little gathering of online folks has been taking place in L.A. known as "Vidcon" and here Shay Carl and the Shaytards are vlogging about the shindig. Shay and the family are going to be on stage (hopefully Shay won't throw Rocktard out into the audience like last year) and if you watch the video you will likely see all sorts of the top Youtubers. First there's KassemG, Michael Buckley from his "What The Buck Show", iJustine, Tobuscus, MysteryGuitarMan, CTFxC (Charles Trippy and Alli Speed) and many others passing by the camera.



Now don't you wish you had bought a ticket? It unfortunately sold out in early May. If you're thinking ahead to Vidcon 2012 it is still a long way away and the location and other stuff has not been worked out, but you better plan on buying your ticket as soon as they become available.

Tobuscus Birthday Video And Go-Kart Wars

Here is the compilation video that a bunch of Youtubers made for Toby Turner (aka Tobuscus!). As always I like to see who I recognize in these. Needless to say, just about all of them if you are like me.



Loved the Wheezy Waiter and Shay Carl parts. The part by Matty was surprisingly creative - hats off to your Matt. What I found interesting was the next couple of videos by Tobuscus and iJustine. It seems that Toby, iJustine, PhillyD, Matty and Tony went to the local go-kart track to celebrate Toby's birthday (poor IJ ended up with a nasty bruise on her knee) and this first video shows them at the go-karts. It's the second one that I found really interesting when they discuss what happened...



After the go-karts they went to a restaurant and IJ filmed it, they discussed what happened:

Tobuscus And iJustine Do A Coffee Run

From being a subscriber of both iJustine and Tobuscus you probably know that they are both heavily caffenated most of the time. If you watch Toby's "Lazy Vlogs" he is always carrying a cup of java and IJ tosses back her share too, so its not really surprising to find them at a local coffee shop (The Coffee Bean of course) before heading back to the crib to get their game on <- and no, I don't mean that as an inside joke.

Toby and iJustine are probably two of the biggest gaming geeks on Youtube outside of the Machinima crowd and according to what IJ says in this video, apparently the plan on playing Little Big Planet 2, although I'm pretty sure she is more at home playing Black Ops.

If you missed the iphone grocery store video iJustine mentioned, that link will take you to it. I have to warn you though that it is actually 14-plus minutes of IJ shopping for groceries. You do need to be an IJ fan to get through it.

Actually these iphone videos are some of the ones I like most that iJustine is making now - kind of a behind the scenes sort of vlog. The one above does remind me of Tobuscus' walking and talking (and heelying) daily vlogs.

If you are unfamiliar with his videos, you can check out one of his latest videos (actually uploaded today, imagine that!). I'm sort of hooked on these too and try as I might, I am still unable to capture Toby's attention with my witty banter in his comment section so I can win a Tobuscus t-shirt. I may actually have to break down and buy one, but I am almost unable and unwilling to part with any of my own ill-gotten gains except for food.

If You're An iJustine Fan You Should Be Subscribed To Her iPhone Channel

Yes, I'm an iJustine fan. There I said it. I like seeing her dance in Apple stores and I like watching her skits and when she acts like a goofball in general. Like most who follow her on Youtube and all the other Internet sites she is on, I first noticed her because she is definitely easy on the eyes but there are lots of pretty women on Youtube and the Internet. What I like about IJ is that she is willing to allow her innate goofiness shine through and laughs at herself.

The videos below are from her iPhone channel called ijustinesiphone. She mostly posts videos like a daily vlogger which is the style that I personally like best. She mentioned in one of her iphone videos that she is heading over to Madrid, Spain next week, but unsure why she's going to Europe. I think she mentioned that her sister Jenna (her Youtube channel is itsmejennae) is probably going to join her on the trip.

This video is just IJ on the way to her home away from home, the Apple Store and she finds out about a speed dating event happening nearby:



This one is iJustine at home after filming some videos for her main channel and just her kicking back and relaxing.



And one last one from her iPhone channel. Had to add this one because IJ just looks so good in red. (Ooh I just read what I typed and I sound like such a fanboy - Bradshaw loses coolness points). I do remember that song she was singing in this video - it's called "Got You (Where I Want You)" by The Flys (you can get it at Amazon, but not iTunes).



Like I said, if you are an iJustine fan, you probably might want to sub to her iPhone channel as she has been posting a lot of videos on this channel. There's all sorts of rumors about her & Tobuscus dating and she uploaded on recently with them in it, but you will have to go to her channel to watch it. I'm thinking she will also probably post some stuff about her trip to Spain on this channel too, so yet another reason to sub.

iJustine Goes Heely Shopping With Tobuscus

And what is this about iJustine wanting a baby? Does that make Tobuscus (Toby Turner) her baby's daddy? But beyond the baby they picked up at the store, IJ is looking for some fancy heelys so she can show up Toby in the heely department.



I remember seeing some videos where iJustine was wearing heelys from back in the day (she mentions 2007), but Toby wears them every day and heelys like a semi-professional heely person. By the end of the video IJ was doing pretty good.

The video was shot around the the same time as the one posted on the Tobuscus channel (check out this post: Tobuscus And iJustine Are Dating?! Dispelling The Rumors). I don't know if they are actually dating or not, but there is so much chatter about them maybe getting together in the comments that I'm surprised they didn't include a shot of them heely-ing off into the sunset with the little eggshaped bambino (that baby sorta reminds the little brother of Kyle from South Park, Ike). I did like the tag words IJ used to describe the video (ijustine,is,not,really,having,baby,don't,worry lol).

Just to fan the rumors a little bit more, Toby also appears in iJustine's "Ask IJ" episode below. Awesome into for this one with the dude using sign language to "sing" the Ask IJ theme song:



IJ mentions that she is going to Play-List Live March 26-27 in Orlando. That link will take you to their main page for more info. there are a lot of youtubers going (Meekakitty, Wheezy Waiter, livelavalive, KassemG, Lisa Nova just to name a few) so if you are interested, check out their website.

Hmmm and now Tobuscus has posted a video from his perspective about their heely purchasing excursion. And he used the line I said he should use in the post I linked to above. Toby? Are you now reading Bradshaw's Blog for reference material? If yes, pretend to fall down in the video below:

Tobuscus And iJustine Are Dating?! Dispelling The Rumors

"Intro of darkness, then redness, then whiteness! What?! Audience? What are you doing staring at ijustine?"

No, that's not how this latest video from Toby Turner (aka Tobuscus) could have started but it may as well have. Recently Toby and iJustine have been seen together in several of each other's videos and that of course set tongues wagging and sent the Youtube rumor mill into a frenzy: "Have you heard that iJustine is seeing Tobuscus?" and "Toby Turner is dating IJ?!", so they made the video below, with their little Youtube love child:



Yeah, THAT'S going to dispel the rumors lol. iJustine and Toby went shopping for babies? When Toby was vlogging he mentioned that she had vlogged "the same thing" just before he did, so if IJ does post her version of the parking lot baby fiasco I will post it on here as well so we can get her story. But I think this will be the end of it. After all IJ is my secret Internet girlfriend (so secret she doesn't even know about it) but we won't see them together again in another video for a while.

Or will we?



GOOD GOD! There's Tobuscus again, watching the Super Bowl with iJustine, LinzLoves, Philip DeFranco, Matty and some other dude that I didn't recognise.

Phil got the eventual winner correct, although I was rooting for the Steelers myself. My last name is BRADSHAW as in Terry Bradshaw (great Steelers QB from the 1970s). Always gotta go with Pittsburgh otherwise Uncle Terry will be giving me the stink eye over the potato salad at our next family reunion. Liked Matty's answer when asked who would win (Cowboys).

So there is no way to tell if they are actually dating or not, although I think they are just friends, Youtube buddies, enjoying each other's company. So all you fanboys and girls, relax. Besides even if they were seeing each other socially it would be NONYA (none of your dang business).

And unfortunately it looks like the Packers ended up beating Pittsburgh in the Super Bowl, but my support for the Steelers remains undiminished. Steelers in 2012!

So, Can iJustine Lick Her Own Elbow?

Here is the latest "Ask IJ" where viewers of iJustine get their questions answered by IJ.



Of course as a good Pittsburgh girl, iJustine admits to being a Pittsburgh Steelers fans (awesome Steelers jersey too) and I have to give the thumbs up because I've been a Steelers fan for ever. Hey, my name is BRADSHAW, as in Terry Bradshaw, Hall of Fame quarterback. May be too old for all the kids, but I have been supporting the Steelers forever. So that's a plus that iJustine knows a good NFL team when she sees one lol.

And can she lick her own elbow? That would be no. Not too many can do that (I can't) but I know several people who can. Maybe it's a Canadian thing. Also liked the pan around her place where iJustine shows that IJ Studios is actually just her apartment. She gets that cool halo effect behind her by using a bright light on the wall. She showed how she sets up her lighting for videos in an earlier video.

What's iJustine's Studio Like?

Actually I like the following video because IJ shows what her set-up is for when she does her videos. They always seem so polished and well done and she shows her viewers what she does to get the effect in her videos.



It seems so easy and doesn't it seem like you could do that too?

TheWillofDC: Discusses The CES Youtube Superstar Panel

If you are not familiar with TheWillofDC, he does a Youtube show where he lists the "Winners and Losers" each week on the Top 100 (and was involved at VidCon 2010). In this video he talks about an article he wrote for tubefilter an online video news source. Will provided them with some articles in 2010 and they gave him a pass to the CES Conference happening now in Las Vegas where they unveil new tech stuff. What Will covered for tubefilter was the "Youtube Superstar Panel" which comprised Philip DeFranco, iJustine, Joe Penna (that would be MysteryGuitarMan to you and me) and Freddie Wong. All are highly successful youtubers who I gush about on this blog from time to time. Will goes through his article about the panel in the video below:



I had noticed that several of the youtubers I stalk, follow, had made the trek over to Vegas (although I thought Phil had gone to Vegas with his guys to set his editor Matty up with hot babes: PhillyD Pimps Out Matty) and I was watching iJustine in Vegas and her sister itsmejennae doing the whole Vegas thing (I think Jenna may have a slight gambling problem). But like I said, I didn't know they were going to do a panel or anything. Watch Will's video as what they said in the panel about connecting with your audience on Youtube, scheduling etc is very good advice. If you are uploading content on Youtube and hope to "make it" as a Youtube star, listening closely to what those who have made it is good advice. Too bad there's no video of the panel.

As a side note most of those involved will probably be going to VidCon 2011 in July so you may get a chance to bend the ear of a successful youtuber. I've read that iJustine, Wheezy Waiter, Shane Dawson, Charlie McDonnell (aka Charlieissocoollike) and tons more will be attending and giving speeches.

NOTE: I just found a great article written by Megan O'Neill covering the panel discussion at CES: Secrets Of The YouTube Superstars and at the bottom of the article there's a 37 minute video showing them all talking about Youtube. Great stuff.

Check Out This Channel Right Now! The Partners Project With Shira Lazar

Here at the spacious offices and corporate headquarters of Bradshaw's Blog (okay, there's no "we", there's just me) we are always on the lookout for interesting new channels and there's a brand new channel that you will be subscribed to shortly. It is called The Partners Project and it has been up and running only since around December 7, 2010 but it looks like it should be a winner. They have been posting some great videos featuring several of the top Youtubers like Shay Carl, iJustine and in the video below, one of my favorites, MysterGuitarMan.



The host is the tres pretty Shira Lazar who has done some work with the The Huffington Post, CBSNews.com and now she's got this Youtube gig. She's also a Canadian girl (from Montreal) so I gotta give her props.

In the above video for the Partners Project channel she interviews Joe Penna (MGM) about his Youtube career and what brought him to the level of success he's enjoyed to this point and what the future holds for him on Youtube and elsewhere. Actually I think this was a first-rate introduction to one of the most popular people currently on Youtube and look forward to seeing more interviews with other famous youtubers. So far Shira's interviewed Shay Carl, iJustine and The Annoying Orange. One cool part about the channel is that along with interviews with these top youtubers, the channel has them giving some "Youtube Pro Tips" on how to be successful (along with behind the scenes stuff from the interviews). Really think this might be a nice addition to what we get on Youtube and help viewers get to know their favorite youtubers just a bit better.

Project For Awesome Videos Raise $100,000 For Various Charities

In case you missed it, the Project For Awesome was reportedly a big success and they uploaded the show to Youtube (you can see all the videos at p4a. They've uploaded 83 videos so far which is great. This first one shows DeStorm, MysteryGuitarMan, and Freddy Wong all playing and singing well.



Really check out the videos on the P4A channel (link above) as there are interviews with all the top Youtubers like HotFor Words, the Vlogbrothers, Shay Carl, KassemG & NicePeter, Michelle Phan, Tay Zonde, Michael Buckley and iJustine (just to name a few!).

It starts with Shay and various Tardlets having some fun and then Shay takes us behind the scenes of the Project For Awesome live show. And iJustine uploaded this one on her 2nd channel. Lots of wellknown Youtube people all through both of these videos.

Josh Sundquist Preps You On Twitter For Math Nerds

I was just on Twitter frittering away some time that I should have been using blogging or something equally unconstructive when I saw that iJustine had tweeted that her followers "should check this funny video out" and I, the dutiful IJ fan, quickly clicked the link for the video below called "Twitter For Math Nerds". You should check it out too because it is good.



The video is from JoshSundquist and you have to agree that it is clever. I don't know how but I somehow started following Lady Gaga. You better watch out or you'll be next!

I was going to reply to iJustine right away saying that the video was great and thanks for tweeted the link, but according to Josh's charts that would be super creepy. So thanks Josh for helping me out from seeming like I was macking on IJ. I already have enough court orders, cease and desist orders and restraining orders, but I digress.

I wasn't familiar with Josh or his Youtube channel (follow the link above to sub), but I found out he's got 58K subscribers and he posts alot (about 5-6 times this past week) so for that kind of effort and because I liked this video, I'm subscribing to his channel. Maybe he'll have some sort of tutorial soon about how to pick hot blonde youtubers. Oh, there I go again. I can imagine IJ already filling out the restraining order paperwork. CNET And iJustine Review The Apple iPad

Both of these videos came out a while ago (May 2010 I believe), but both are actually good reviews of the Apple iPad. The CNET review is done by Donald Bell, a senior editor at cnet.com who explains the iPad in a non-techy manner that those unfamilar with the device can easily follow. He also shows how to use the Apple iPad's apps and tells viewers about how including iTunes and the Apple Apps Store on the iPad make it a great tablet.

Another look at the Apple iPad is given by iJustine on her ijustinereviews, her channel where she offers reviews of various tech products like the ipad. She mentions towards the end of the video that she was going to review some of the apps and you can find that video here: ipad apps review.



IJ also mentioned that the iPad unfortunately doesn't have a camera, but since she released this video it looks like the next version of the iPad due out in early 2011 will have one.

Poor iJustine's Got A Bloody Eye: Don't Look If You Get Queasy Easy

One of the reasons I love watching iJustine is because she's, well, just easy on the eyes. She's quirky, goofy, and fun. IJ had a mishap while at her parents and she's a little self-conscious (IJ? Never!) and hesitant about showing her subscribers, but here she is. If you get queasy about blood, you might not want to watch:



It's just a broken blood vessel in her eye (known as a subconjunctival hemorrhage) which is a lot more common than you would think, but the poor girl's obviously a little self-conscious. I think I detected her blushing slightly when she shows us the eye. A teacher of mine in high school had the same thing happen and recovered quickly and iJustine will too, probably just in time for Christmas.

In the meantime IJ feels the need to hide her face behind a lock of her hair and hasn't been putting up videos because she thinks she looks "hideous" which is crap. Even if she gets the nickname Justine "Bloody Eyeball" Ezarik (sounds like a cool mobster name for IJ), she still maintains her hotness factor - even with her mutant eye. Hopefully she gets well soon, because I need my iJustine fix almost every day.

iJustine Attacked By A Wild Bore In Hawaii!

This is hilarious as iJustine and her sister are walking along a trail on the island of Kaua'i during their Hawaiian trip they hear something in the woods...



I don't care what you think, that was really freaking funny! I always liked the trick played on them by their tour guide Andrew jumping out at them and giving them a big scare. Plus, I think I heard IJ swear for the first time ever!

Gamer Girl iJustine And Her COD Black Ops RC-XD Surveillance Vehicle

Yes, she's a die hard gamer girl. But if you follow iJustine at all, you already knew about her predilection for video games and all things tech - she's almost like an unofficial ambassador for Apple.



It looks like she's busted open the COD Black Ops Prestige Edition and has taken out the Surveillance Vehicle for a little spin.

I really though she was going to get told to move it along when the cops showed up, but apparently they're big fans of Black Ops (well, probably also fans of hot blond geeky girls too) so she gets to continue playing with the RC-XD Surveillance Vehicle in the streets. If you want, I posted a Tobuscus video where he does an unboxing of the Black Ops Prestige Edition.

I didn't know that the car also had that camera which is a pretty cool feature.

One other thing, did you see the part at about 2:00 when she was chasing her car and the pirate-clown dude with all the balloons is watching her? He's probably thinking "Wow, what a freak!"

A Bikini-Clad iJustine Feeds Chickens In Kaua'i

Did I mention that iJustine is wearing a bikini in this vlog? I will be one of the first to admit that one of the reasons I watch IJ's videos is because she is so easy on the eyes, but it's her quirky personality that keeps people coming back. But, there are times when this girl's hotness hits you right in the solar plexus.



I'm trying very hard not keep harping on how hot I think iJustine looks in this video, but it is difficult lol. She's like that pretty friend you have that you love to hang with but once in a while you see her and you think damn, you are fine girl. Okay, I think I'm done. I creeped myself out with those comments. Back to the Hawaii trip.

I like that IJ's sister Bree is finally relaxing around the camera and dropping one-liners like a vaudeville comedian, like when they saw the dead chicken: "Cock down" was perfect lol. And I'm pretty sure I saw KassemG at that same cavern when he went over to Hawaii.

Also, when they ventured into the darkness of the cave and Bree was saying it was very dark, iJustine, being the iPhone aficionado that she is, piped up that she "had an app for that" and whipped out a flashlight app.

Latest Ask IJ And iJustine Heads Over To Hawaii

It has been a while since the last Ask IJ episode, but iJustine has been a busy girl over the last few weeks or so. She did that Criminal Minds episode and all that Halloween stuff and she was also in Kaua'i (that's one of the Hawaiian islands) and has started posting videos on her 2nd channel otherijustine about the trip she and her sister Bree took.



Actually it was only 3 weeks ago that iJustine did an Ask IJ episode, but in between that time and this I think she must have posted about a hundred different videos - like I said, a busy girl. If you want to check out that Ask IJ spoof, here's his channel: hunterfrederick.

Then there is her favorite drink that she is ALWAYS guzzling: Yerba from Guayaki. And the back flip question lol. She says she won't do any back flips because we've seen a lot of dead IJs which is true. She's been killed in that recent episode of Criminal Minds and last year on Law & Order: SVU as well as in a couple of YouTube videos, so no more dead iJustines.

And she mentioned how tall she is: five foot, three and a half inches tall. She's as bit shorter than I thought (don't know why but I thought she was about 5'7") but I did think she was a bit of a munchkin in that recent video where she wears her fangs to the Radio Shack and the rep towered over her. But one thing: she was asked Justin Bieber for President and she said yes, but Bieber is Canadian and therefore NOT an american citizen so he is ineligible (that's just me nitpicking lol).

And stuck in a room with the cast of Jersey Shore or the cast of Lost and she of course picked Lost. She gets big nerd girl points for that answer. And she backs up here coolness factor by saying neither when asked if she would be either of the Jersey Shore girls. But for ultra-nerdness, iJustine also plays video games and pulls out some PS3 games, including Modern Warefare 2 (big thumbs up for that one IJ!) and I'm wondering if she will be jumping all over the Call of Duty: Black Ops which is released in a few days. Maybe that will be my question to her on her next Ask IJ.

But, besides her main channel, iJustine has her 2nd channel where she just posted the video below about her trip with Bree to Hawaii, which would be sweet.



At the start she shows all her gadgets including her Neatobotics vacuum that she's named "Bieber" lol. Charles Trippy and Alli also picked up one of these vacuums and if you want to see how they work, check this Bradshaw's Blog post: CTFxC: Postal Mishaps Resolved? And Name Dat Robot. Love that she's still wearing those fangs when she's on her way to her flight with Bree and that they are representing the Steelers by wearing their jerseys. I've been a Steelers fan for ever (hey, my last name is Bradshaw and Terry Bradshaw was the greatest QB of the 70s, so I have to partial to anyone who loves Pittsburgh).

And I was saying IJ earned massive nerd girl points earlier? Did you check her out when she found out there was wi-fi on the plane? Massive points there for iJustine lol. I guess we'll have to see what she gets up to when she's in Kaua'i in later videos - or follow her on Twitter because she's been tweeting about her trip.

Newsflash! Nalts Is Stalking iJustine! (Get In Line Buddy)

It looks like Uncle Nalts is stalking my secret Internet girlfriend iJustine in his latest video. Like the title says, get in line, Nalts!



LOL, at Nalts' kid with the phone call "It's a collect call from desperation!" Just in case you missed it, iJustine was just in an episode of the television series Criminal Minds as the part with IJ running through the corn field is from that episode (called Middle Man) that aired November 3rd. You can also see my post on Bradshaw's Blog about her appearance: Criminal Minds With iJustine (airs November 3rd).

Also loved that Nalts was thinking of Lisa Nova as an alternative for his romp though the corn field.

2010 Supernote Winners! Team Beard Wins By A Whisker

The tabulations are done, and the results are in. According to Rhett&Link's website, the winners are: Team Beard! Congrats to Wheezy Waiter and his team of beardlovers who dethroned last year's champs, Shay Carl and the Shaytards Rebellionites. It turned out to be super-close.



According to Rhett&Link, the number of Supernotes submitted by Team Beard was 18 less than Shay's team, although Wheezy's bunch won by a fair margin. Below are the full results:
