Charles Trippy's "Zombie Kid Doctor!" With Some Behind The Scenes Stuff

A while back, around the end of VidCon 2011, Charles Trippy was doing a sequel to his Doctor Zombay video which he posted on his personal channel charlestrippy (as opposed to his CTFxC channel) and filmed it at Shay Carl's house while they were in L.A. And yes, that is Princesstard as Trippy the policeman's step-daughter.



If you want to see some behind the scenes stuff about while they were making this video, both Charles and Shay included some footage (loved the part of a leather-lunged Princesstard screaming). First, here's the CTFxC video as they were leaving VidCon and doing some filming. Doctor Zombay is Ben and Dr Chris are both from RuinTheInternet. The daughter is of course Princesstard from the Shaytards and her mom is played by Alli Speed (CTFxC).



Also, Shay Carl included some footage and behind the scenes stuff on the Shaytards vlog just around the same time so watch that too.

Katersoneseven Enjoys VidCon

One of the youtubers that I always seem to watch is of course, Katersoneseven who in case you can't tell is from England. She recently moved to the States and does a daily vlog and a lot of the time we also see Cory Williams aka Mr Safety (check out his vlogs at dudelikehella).

This is Kate as she stops by VidCon 2011 and gets some great shots of what is going on around the hotel. Lot's of planking going on especially on the escalators (until security shows up).



Liked it when she was driving (illegally) but it was a toy car so I think the police will probably look the other way.

Shay Carl And Charles Trippy After VidCon: No Rest For The Youtubers

Even though VidCon is over, Shay Carl and Charles Trippy are still hard at work making videos. This one is just a behind the scenes type of thing with a guest appearance by Rocktard whp will not part with his gum (and gum wrapper). It's always cute seeing Shay with the kids and you can tell they are his world.



It looks like Charles will be playing a cop. I was wondering about the cop shirt when they came on. He is supposed to be Princesstard's step-dad and he does look the part (well, except for the earrings lol). VidCon just finished and these guys are already back at it pumping out the vids.

CTFxC's Behind The Scenes At VidCon

Here's a little of the VidCon experience through the lens of Charles Trippy's CTFxC as he and Alli take in the fun in L.A. It's always cool seeing all the various Youtubers floating around in the background in these gatherings. I spotted Philip DeFranco leading that game of Ninja and of course Shay Carl getting his beard handed to him in the basketball game with Charles and iJustine yawning as they were preparing to go on stage.

I liked how Shay's various tardlets wandered into the room first thing in the morning. During the trip through the kitchen I noticed IJ was filming in this video as well as the Shaytards' video so I'll keep an eye out for that one.



It was funny when Charles was pointing out where last year's VidCon took place and there was a party "down there" and the "Chubby Bunny Challenge" (see: The Chubby Bunny Challenge: Enter At Own Risk from last year).

If you didn't get a chance to go to Los Angeles you can still see some of what has been posted on the official VidCon channel (I saw Charlieissocoollike drop his pants when I stopped by earlier and there's lots of music. I will be watching for VidCon videos from others that will be posted in the days ahead.

Shay Carl Behind the Scenes At Vidcon

In case you don't know, a little gathering of online folks has been taking place in L.A. known as "Vidcon" and here Shay Carl and the Shaytards are vlogging about the shindig. Shay and the family are going to be on stage (hopefully Shay won't throw Rocktard out into the audience like last year) and if you watch the video you will likely see all sorts of the top Youtubers. First there's KassemG, Michael Buckley from his "What The Buck Show", iJustine, Tobuscus, MysteryGuitarMan, CTFxC (Charles Trippy and Alli Speed) and many others passing by the camera.



Now don't you wish you had bought a ticket? It unfortunately sold out in early May. If you're thinking ahead to Vidcon 2012 it is still a long way away and the location and other stuff has not been worked out, but you better plan on buying your ticket as soon as they become available.

LasVegasBarbie Also Has A Sexy Brain

One of the Youtubers I have been subscribed to for a while is LasVegasBarbie (also known as Morgan Lynn). I think I first spotted her in a video during VidCon and again in another by Charles Trippy and Alli Speed (The Chubby Bunny Challenge: Enter At Own Risk) and thought I would check out her videos and subbed to her channel.

Why am I subbed to her? Well, yes, she is easy on the eyes (smoking hot actually, and very pretty), but that's not the only reason I recommend her. Many will click on her videos just from a thumbnail of her sitting in front of her camera, but I've found she is also clever and funny which means more to me as a viewer.

Don't get me wrong, she does have the WOW Factor and attracts many horny male subscribers and the expected juvenile comments, but all the attractive female youtubers get that. What she has been doing recently has been to upload videos like the following, where she provides relationship advice in a humorous way.



Many of the guys watching probably lose their sense of hearing momentarily when she pops up on the screen, which is fine, but try to listen to what she is saying. She talks about sex in a funny way. Most of what she says is pretty much true: in the video above she matter-of-factly states whether women really do care about a man's size (yes some women with, shall we say, a morally lax attitude care). But others don't.

As a guy I can freely admit that I am pretty much clueless about the workings of the female mind, and any help I get is appreciated, and when an attractive woman tells you what women want in a man, I listen. One of her other videos I particularly liked was the one where she took her kids for milkshakes and they were watching mermaids swimming in a nearby tank. Take a look:



This is the kind of LasVegasBarbie video I really like: a gorgeous mom with her kids out in the real world, just having fun.

I think she should do more of these Shaytards-like videos. She has the cute kids and people would certainly tune in to see the hot mom, but videos like these are also hard to grind out on a daily basis (just ask Shay and Katilette). And yes she is a mom, but I would advise against labelling her with the "M"-word, because she does take exception to that term.

She has been on YouTube since January 2009 and has 16,070 subscribers to her channel, but I think she should have more. You can also find her over on Twitter: @lasvegasbarbie. As an added bonus, she has a Facebook Page, but I think she should set up a Facebook Fan Page so she can have more than the 5,000 limit Facebook puts on personal pages. I'd be one of the first to click "like" on that page.

So, check out her videos, and subscribe to her if you have a Youtube account. Encourage her to keep making good videos and leave comments with suggestions about what you want her to vlog about.

Top 10 VidCon Moments According To The Vlogbrothers

John Green, one half of the vlogbrothers has put together his selection of what he thinks were some of the top moments of VidCon. I have to admit that Meekakitty's rendition of a velociraptor was pretty good. Ya don't wanna mess with that redhead lol. I also liked hearing about Dan Brown aka pogobat's announcement that his subscribers will have complete control over his channel for a year. I haven't written about Dan's cool idea that he calls Dan Brown 3.0, but I will shortly. Dan is usually really good and makes some thought provoking videos on Youtube which is pretty good for someone so young. I actually consider Dan Brown to be the missing Green brother because he seems to talk and think along the same lines as both John & Hank.

There are more Top 10 moments from VidCon (John dancing as a turkey lol) and the brothers Green singing together among others.

One thing I really want to say is congratulations to the vlogbrothers for making it into the Top 100 Most Subscribed of all time on YouTube. They are absolute masters of bringing interesting and funny videos to their subs that make you think while they entertain. One of the first channels I subbed to on YouTube and you should as well.

VidCon From SupaDupaFlyGirl's Perspective

One of my favorite youtubers, SupaDupaFlyGirl (aka lovely Liz), gives us VidCon from her perspective. I've been patiently waiting for her to upload a video because I've seen her lurking in the background in Olga Kay's various clips and she doesn't disappoint. In SDFG's video we get to see her arrival at VidCon and Olga picking her up (there's a combo spelling trouble right there) and off to one of the early panels featuring some top youtubers: ijustine, Phil DeFranco, TheWillOfDC and Michael Buckley (from WhatTheBuckShow in case you didn't know) and shots of Olga showing off her gun dress. As I commented on SDFG's video, even as a straight hetero dude, I gotta say that dress is fabulous.

Also Liz got footage of several of the musical acts and assorted jugglers and some of Alli Speed's "Chubby Bunny Challenge" that should be up on Alli's channel shortly.

GIVE ME MY EGGS!

Later in a nearby Dennys, while waiting for some breakfast, she and Olga try a few odd flipcam tricks and Liz becomes all demanding, sounding Lindsay Lohan-esque, "Give me my EGGS!" Gotta admit that I love her eyes. I know it's corny to say that, but SupaDupaFlyGirl has the sort of eyes that they are referring to when they talk about "limpid pools". Hopefully she isn't totally creeped out by that if she ever reads this lol.

Here's another video she posted a few months back when she was just planning on going to VidCon and happy that she was going to be seeing a bunch of her youtuber friends. Funny but a lot of them are folks I have been subbed to for quite a while. It's something of a montage of her friends in various clips:



Really, sub to her! She seems to be a genuinely nice person that has interesting stuff to say. And she's a great photographer as well. Many layers to this interesting Youtuber!

Wheezy Waiter Teleports Home

About dang time that Wheezy Waiter finally put up a new video. He was having so much time having chuckles and giggles in L.A. for VidCon that he almost forgot about us, but lucky for us (mostly lucky for him), he blinked himself, almost in an I Dream Of Jeannie-like fashion back home to Chicago. Actually I guess it would properly be called "I Dream Of Wheezy", but the though of Wheezy wearing a harum suit... well, I really don't want to plant that image in your brain.

Also, he mentions that he wants to present next time if there is a VidCon 2.0 (that would be AWESOME) and tells John & Hank Green that he is putting his name forward, I guess to do a Question and Answer thingy. Expect explosions and a lot of winks. If he's going to be on the menu (sorta sounds like we would be eating Wheezy - I get a drum stick!), I'll definitely be attending. Both Hank and John Green have been quoted as saying they would like to put on another VidCon (Yea!) even though this experience was very tiring.

One person I sort of expected to see upon Wheezy's return was Ty The Regular Guy, but after all the havoc he created in the last video by unbuttoning his collar (Ty can morph into such a wild man in Wheezy's absence), Ty probably cleared out just before Wheezy blinked home.

In case you don't know, Wheezy also tweeted that he was leaving his job and was going to be doing videos fulltime (awesome) and recently crossed the 100K subscriber level. He's actually up to 112,680 subs. So this is good news for fans of this quirky dude. If you want to follow him on twitter, you can stalk..., I mean follow, him at wheezywaiter.

Rocketboom's Molly Interviews The Vlogbrothers At VidCon

Rocketboom's Molly gets a chance to speak with Hank & John Green of the vlogbrothers about the success of the 3-day VidCon which is now wrapping up in Los Angeles. According to Hank, the event was intended to be an online video conference to show the video industry about the power and vibrancy of the burgeoning online video community (at YouTube and elsewhere).

I started hearing about VidCon while watching videos by different youtubers over the last several months and as the excitement built youtubers would sprinkle in a comment in their videos: "You going to VidCon?" and "I'm so excited about VidCon" and when it finally came, it turned out to be one of those monster events that you are kicking yourself for not attending. Just looking at all the various videos from behind the scenes as well as those of the multitude of panel discussions and other assorted cool stuff really shows what drawing power an event like this can generate.

VidCon 2: Toyko Drift

If we give Hank & John Green a bit of a breather, I'm hoping they'll help organize another one of these shindigs for next year. Maybe "VidCon 2: Toyko Drift" lol. I kid because I'm a jerk. No, really, "VidCon 2.0" or something similar could be a huge event in 2011, and maybe this time it could be in New York or again in Los Angeles or even somewhere in the middle might be doable.

So Hank & John, have you caught your breath yet? Better get on it boys! Just kidding. Right now both of the vlogbrothers are probably ecstatic that the big event is over and need some much needed snooze time. But once they recharge you know everyone will be asking about a sequel to this successful event.

Brittani Louise Taylor & Shane Dawson Q & A At VidCon

Check out BrittaniLouiseTaylor who has 470,897 YouTube subscribers and is the 44th most subbed youtuber answering some questions about herself and her channel on YouTube. According to Brittani, she was on YouTube for about 3 years before she finally took off. I first spotted her in a few of Shane Dawson's videos before he really took off and finally broke down and subbed to the cupcake queen a while back. If you watch Brittani, you know that she is a genuine nutbar and interesting youtuber.

Speaking of Shane Dawson, he joins Brittani in the video below to answer a few questions from the audience. In case you don't follow Shane, I'll put a link to his main channel after the video. Actually you were probably auto-subbed to Shane Dawson when you created your YouTube channel (kidding), because Dawson is one of the most wildly followed youtubers going. He rocketed up the most subbed charts in a little over a year from about 14,000 subscribers to his current total of about 20 ga-zillion subs (actually Shane has 1,699,999 as of today).



I should point out that these 2 videos were uploaded by TheEpicWitchika and that they uploaded parts 2, 3 & 4 of Shane & Brittani's Q&A session and you should go to that link above to see those videos (and subscribe to TheEpicWitchika).

Shane Dawon's main channel is shanedawsontv and he also has another beloved 2nd channel called shanedawsontv2 where he does outtakes and answers viewers questions. Both should be on your sub list as well as Brittani's channel. So now that I've finished pimpin' these two out, I'll move on.

Don't You Just Hate Meghan Tonjes?!

I cannot believe that Meghan Tonjes could be sooo mean as to deny those that attended VidCon from basking in her presence! Using the uber-lame excuse of having a major back injury (ph-shaw!), Meghan aka tonjesml was unable to attend VidCon, but her friend and co-conspirator of projectlifesize, Gretchen was able to round up a cast of social misfits and other youtubers to hurl some much needed abuse Meghan's way for her decision to bypass THE YouTube event while claiming medical reasons for her absence.

Everyone at VidCon now realizes that Meghan is such an elitist because she is nearing 100K subs (91462 and counting) and is probably just kicking back with her guitar and thumbing her nose at those losers who actually turned up in L.A. for the big event. Take a listen to one of her recent videos and you be the judge:



Okay, I can't keep slamming Meghan's character anymore. Actually Meghan is a very talented musician and singer and should have 10X as many subscribers as she currently has. Really, SUB this girl. And as a sidenote, I couldn't make it to VidCon either, but not for any medical reasons - well maybe because of a wallet-ectomy I suffered due to my recent bills. Hopefully I'll get a chance to meet her at NEXT year's VidCon if there is one, but in the meantime I'll get to listen to her terrific music, as you also can.

Charles Trippy & Alli Speed's Panel At VidCon

This is a massive video from Charles Trippy and Alli Speed while they are at VidCon. Charles and Alli discuss their daily vlog series CTFxC which is now up to day 436! One answer Alli gave to an audience member asking how long they plan on doing their vlog was "FOREVER!" That drew a large amount of applause from the crowd.

Also on hand were the usual band of misfits including hiimrawn who got the day started by showing up on stage wearing a housecoat and haranguing the audience asking "What are you doing here THIS EARLY?" before tossing the robe aside to reveal a pair of tighty-whiteys and strapping on his accordian and playing before the appreciative audience.

Towards the end the stage was taken over by a bunch of talented youtubers (including davedays, Hank Green from one of my favorite channels: vlogbrothers, tayzonday) pumping up the crowd with some songs.

ZeFrank Gives A Seminar At VidCon

One of the best and most respected people on the Internet is ZeFrank and Charles Trippy films a small part of the seminar he gave at VidCon. If you don't who ZeFrank is "you're missing out" says Trippy and should check out his website called zefrank.com. He has been called one of the most innovative and best in the field of online video for quite a while now. Ask any of the top youtubers about ZeFrank and they will likely tell you that he is one of their inspirations and that they love his stuff. Actually, in one video by one of my favorite youtubers, wheezywaiter, called Nothing You Ever Wanted to Know About Wheezy Waiter, he mentions that he had been watching a ton of ZeFrank's videos just prior to joining YouTube and that's why he started uploading videos in the first place.

Mitchell Davis Wants To Spoon With Olga Kay!

VidCon is almost over (just one day left) and weary youtubers need a place to crash. Michell Davis from livelavalive has been taken home by Olga Kay and supadupaflygirl (aka Elizabeth) and poor Michell is forced to endure Olga's fashion sense in bedwear. Olga Kay has decided that Michell should wear some African print moo-moo, that if Olga wore it she wuld get swallowed up. Where the heck did she GET that lol?

"Spooning Leads To Forking!"

Michell looks like he raided Olga's closet and found some funny pants that are sort of like pajama-bottoms, but they say "Spooning Leads To Forking" but it is something to wear.

Shay Carl Attracts Crowds Of Fans At VidCon

If there's any question that Shay Carl is popular on Youtube, just wait til the end of the this clip when Shay is mobbed by youtubers at VidCon. Before that, we see Shay & Katilette lurking in the back of a panel where youtubers are asking questions of some of the most subscribed people like Michael Buckley, Phil DeFranco, ijustine, TheWillofDC, and I think it was Danny Diamond (hasn't really uploaded much in about 2 years, but really in with TheStation's crew), and daneboe (the dude behind The Annoying Orange).

Later we see Shay and a whole gaggle of youtubers at midimafia's house. Just a LOT of familiar faces mingling around. Don't you wish you were there now? That hot girl Shay was talking to out by the pool before the guy jumped into the pool is trickniks, who just recently became a Youtube Partner. Check out her channel in the link above.

and of course, at the end Shay is signing autographs, posing with fans of the Shaytards and just being a good guy for the folks attending.
