Shay Carl Behind the Scenes At Vidcon

In case you don't know, a little gathering of online folks has been taking place in L.A. known as "Vidcon" and here Shay Carl and the Shaytards are vlogging about the shindig. Shay and the family are going to be on stage (hopefully Shay won't throw Rocktard out into the audience like last year) and if you watch the video you will likely see all sorts of the top Youtubers. First there's KassemG, Michael Buckley from his "What The Buck Show", iJustine, Tobuscus, MysteryGuitarMan, CTFxC (Charles Trippy and Alli Speed) and many others passing by the camera.



Now don't you wish you had bought a ticket? It unfortunately sold out in early May. If you're thinking ahead to Vidcon 2012 it is still a long way away and the location and other stuff has not been worked out, but you better plan on buying your ticket as soon as they become available.

Tobuscus Birthday Video And Go-Kart Wars

Here is the compilation video that a bunch of Youtubers made for Toby Turner (aka Tobuscus!). As always I like to see who I recognize in these. Needless to say, just about all of them if you are like me.



Loved the Wheezy Waiter and Shay Carl parts. The part by Matty was surprisingly creative - hats off to your Matt. What I found interesting was the next couple of videos by Tobuscus and iJustine. It seems that Toby, iJustine, PhillyD, Matty and Tony went to the local go-kart track to celebrate Toby's birthday (poor IJ ended up with a nasty bruise on her knee) and this first video shows them at the go-karts. It's the second one that I found really interesting when they discuss what happened...



After the go-karts they went to a restaurant and IJ filmed it, they discussed what happened:

Tobuscus And iJustine Do A Coffee Run

From being a subscriber of both iJustine and Tobuscus you probably know that they are both heavily caffenated most of the time. If you watch Toby's "Lazy Vlogs" he is always carrying a cup of java and IJ tosses back her share too, so its not really surprising to find them at a local coffee shop (The Coffee Bean of course) before heading back to the crib to get their game on <- and no, I don't mean that as an inside joke.

Toby and iJustine are probably two of the biggest gaming geeks on Youtube outside of the Machinima crowd and according to what IJ says in this video, apparently the plan on playing Little Big Planet 2, although I'm pretty sure she is more at home playing Black Ops.

If you missed the iphone grocery store video iJustine mentioned, that link will take you to it. I have to warn you though that it is actually 14-plus minutes of IJ shopping for groceries. You do need to be an IJ fan to get through it.

Actually these iphone videos are some of the ones I like most that iJustine is making now - kind of a behind the scenes sort of vlog. The one above does remind me of Tobuscus' walking and talking (and heelying) daily vlogs.

If you are unfamiliar with his videos, you can check out one of his latest videos (actually uploaded today, imagine that!). I'm sort of hooked on these too and try as I might, I am still unable to capture Toby's attention with my witty banter in his comment section so I can win a Tobuscus t-shirt. I may actually have to break down and buy one, but I am almost unable and unwilling to part with any of my own ill-gotten gains except for food.

iJustine Goes Heely Shopping With Tobuscus

And what is this about iJustine wanting a baby? Does that make Tobuscus (Toby Turner) her baby's daddy? But beyond the baby they picked up at the store, IJ is looking for some fancy heelys so she can show up Toby in the heely department.



I remember seeing some videos where iJustine was wearing heelys from back in the day (she mentions 2007), but Toby wears them every day and heelys like a semi-professional heely person. By the end of the video IJ was doing pretty good.

The video was shot around the the same time as the one posted on the Tobuscus channel (check out this post: Tobuscus And iJustine Are Dating?! Dispelling The Rumors). I don't know if they are actually dating or not, but there is so much chatter about them maybe getting together in the comments that I'm surprised they didn't include a shot of them heely-ing off into the sunset with the little eggshaped bambino (that baby sorta reminds the little brother of Kyle from South Park, Ike). I did like the tag words IJ used to describe the video (ijustine,is,not,really,having,baby,don't,worry lol).

Just to fan the rumors a little bit more, Toby also appears in iJustine's "Ask IJ" episode below. Awesome into for this one with the dude using sign language to "sing" the Ask IJ theme song:



IJ mentions that she is going to Play-List Live March 26-27 in Orlando. That link will take you to their main page for more info. there are a lot of youtubers going (Meekakitty, Wheezy Waiter, livelavalive, KassemG, Lisa Nova just to name a few) so if you are interested, check out their website.

Hmmm and now Tobuscus has posted a video from his perspective about their heely purchasing excursion. And he used the line I said he should use in the post I linked to above. Toby? Are you now reading Bradshaw's Blog for reference material? If yes, pretend to fall down in the video below:

Tobuscus And iJustine Are Dating?! Dispelling The Rumors

"Intro of darkness, then redness, then whiteness! What?! Audience? What are you doing staring at ijustine?"

No, that's not how this latest video from Toby Turner (aka Tobuscus) could have started but it may as well have. Recently Toby and iJustine have been seen together in several of each other's videos and that of course set tongues wagging and sent the Youtube rumor mill into a frenzy: "Have you heard that iJustine is seeing Tobuscus?" and "Toby Turner is dating IJ?!", so they made the video below, with their little Youtube love child:



Yeah, THAT'S going to dispel the rumors lol. iJustine and Toby went shopping for babies? When Toby was vlogging he mentioned that she had vlogged "the same thing" just before he did, so if IJ does post her version of the parking lot baby fiasco I will post it on here as well so we can get her story. But I think this will be the end of it. After all IJ is my secret Internet girlfriend (so secret she doesn't even know about it) but we won't see them together again in another video for a while.

Or will we?



GOOD GOD! There's Tobuscus again, watching the Super Bowl with iJustine, LinzLoves, Philip DeFranco, Matty and some other dude that I didn't recognise.

Phil got the eventual winner correct, although I was rooting for the Steelers myself. My last name is BRADSHAW as in Terry Bradshaw (great Steelers QB from the 1970s). Always gotta go with Pittsburgh otherwise Uncle Terry will be giving me the stink eye over the potato salad at our next family reunion. Liked Matty's answer when asked who would win (Cowboys).

So there is no way to tell if they are actually dating or not, although I think they are just friends, Youtube buddies, enjoying each other's company. So all you fanboys and girls, relax. Besides even if they were seeing each other socially it would be NONYA (none of your dang business).

And unfortunately it looks like the Packers ended up beating Pittsburgh in the Super Bowl, but my support for the Steelers remains undiminished. Steelers in 2012!

What Is The Tobuscus Audience Doing In James Cameron's Pocket?

If you follow Toby Turner (aka tobuscus) on Youtube you will notice that his audience finds itself in all sorts of awkward places at the start of his videos, but I don't know if we have ever been in an odd spot like the pocket of director James Cameron before. And what the heck is Tobuscus doing hanging around with the famous director of Titanic and Avatar?



If you follow Toby Turner on Twitter, or any number of the other bigname youtubers like Phil DeFranco, MysteryGuitarMan, Nigahiga, you would have seen that they tweeted about meeting Cameron and Olga Kay and Shane Dawson tweeted pictures with him. It sounds like it was a pretty cool night. If you want to follow James Cameron on Twitter, he is @JimCameron. He just started tweeting on Friday and he's already got 35,000-plus followers. I took a look at some of the people Cameron is following and he started following actor Tom Arnold before he followed Barack Obama - how does Arnold rate that? lol.

Olga Kay Talks With James Cameron

You can always count on Olga to get a picture or video of stuff like this. She filmed a bit of her conversation with James Cameron where they talk about her being a juggler and coming to the U.S. Just wish she had gotten a little bit more.

Tobuscus Unboxes The COD Black Ops Prestige Edition

If you follow Toby Turner (or Tobuscus), you know he is a big time gamer and like everyone with even a mild video game addiction, Toby has been awaiting the arrival of the new Call of Duty: Black Ops game. Here he busts open the even harder to find Black Ops Prestige edition, with the car.



Have to say, that was the SLOPPIEST unboxing I've ever seen lol. If you want to win this bad boy, you have to go on Twitter and tweet to Toby's account (that would be @TobyTurner) the time code of the TobyGames video where he first says "I just poured own sauce all over your family".

Phil DeFranco Talks About His Latest Interview

I've been subscribed to Philip DeFranco ever since I stumbled onto his channel back in the day and thought "Hey YouTube let's me make my own channel & I can subscribe to people like sxephil?! Awesome! Where's the make you channel button?" So yeah, Phil is one of the first youtubers I started watching with some degree of regularity. Just about everything he puts on YouTube passes in front of my eyes and being of a somewhat stalkerish mentality I look for anything and everything about my favorite people. And it looks like Phil's been interviewed by NewTeevee and Phil discusses the interview below:

The article does give some info about where Phil's at now, with his company "DeFranco, Inc." where he's the CEO (meaning Phil is the Big Kahuna) and links to an earlier article about Phil & Toby Turner (aka tobuscus) and the channel they are putting together called CuteWinFail that Phil's mentioned in past videos. That channel already has 68K subs and is growing, so you might want to look into subbing. Take a quick look at that article for some background details.

After reading the article I was thinking "Damn, I wish there was more to this article and a little more indepth" and here's Phil, being the good youtuber that he is, reading my mind and uploading an expansion on his answers. This is why I'm a member of his subscriber base and tell others they should be subbed to Phil.

Tobuscus' Supernote & Toby Gets Some Sweet Lovin' From ST1RFRYTV

Toby Turner aka Tobuscus has a couple of channels on YouTube you must be subscribed to. Okay, he's got an armload of channels - there's his main channel, Tobuscus, where he has over 508K subs and he's about 62nd most subscribed of all time, but he also has his "Lazy Vlog" channel under his real name, TobyTurner (if that indeed is his real name...). That's the one the clip below is from:



As expected, Toby did the unexpected. Doing his Supernote in his car and then hopping out and doing a walking vlog. He did his Supernote for Team Beard who it looks like will probably win the whole enchilada as it is down to it's last day and Team Beard is still in the lead (unless Shay Carl and his Shaytards Rebellionites can manage some last-minute heroics).

As well, he was recently featured by the boys over at ST1RFRYTV in their "YouTube Spotlight" which is a tip of the hat to Turner. Stirfry has also done spotlights on Charles Trippy and Alli Speed as well as the beardman himself, Wheezy Waiter, but this is Tobuscus' turn to shine. And now, by popular demand (well, one guy asked for him), ladies and gentlemen... Tobuscus!

Wheezy Waiter Is Producing Calcium Deficient Clones!

Don't you hate it when you produce a clone to do your work for you and said clone proves completely inept and unable to do the simpliest of tasks? Actually that can be looked on two ways - first, that your clone making is not very good and you need to see quality control improvements, or - second, what you based the clone on, the original you, is actually to blame. There's a sobering thought. Maybe YOU are the inept one and the clone is REALLY close to the original? Sorry, too much sci-fi mumble-jumble for me. Let's just watch Wheezy Waiter's latest.



I don't know it is simply a matter of being calcium deficient that could cause a clone's hand to fall off, but it may be that Wheezy's clone making needs an upgrade. Why I was just reading in Clone Makers Monthly (that's a magazine for clone making aficionados, but you've probably never heard of it) that with a few tweaks, problems like Wheezy's calcium deficient clone can be lessened. But there is the unfortunate possibility of zombie mutant clones, so it is a bit of a wash.

Wheezy also shows why it became suddenly dark outside his window using one of his many satellite cameras he has placed around the earth that picks up the odd UFO. I love the detail of how he can get an extreme close-up of his face. Wheezy actually uses these multiple satellite cameras to track the whereabouts of Scarlett Johannson on a daily basis (If you're reading this Scarlett, hey baby).

Unfortunately there will be no video from Wheezy for tomorrow, so no Explosion Wednesday, so you'll have to make your own explosions. But at least you have a handstand video to tide you over:



In case you don't know, Wheezy based his opening on a video by Toby Turner aka Tobuscus, but you would already know that if you had watched the handstand video. And sub to Tobuscus while you're at it! He's another good youtuber making funny stuff. I think we need to see some Toby Turner videos on this blog!
