| By Jorge Martín ![French strikes grow – paralyse the country to stop the pension]() On Saturday, October 16, more than 3 million people took the streets of France in hundreds of demonstrations in cities and towns throughout the country in the latest national day of action against the proposed counter-reform of the pensions system. The number was on a similar scale as October 2, the last time the trade unions called a day of action on a Saturday but the movement has certainly developed further. The demonstrations were another show of strength of this movement which has lasted for months and seen 5 national days of action since the end of the summer holidays.

On October 18, 2007 we witnessed one such moment when Benazir Bhutto returned from her last exile. A vast sea of the oppressed masses converged onto the streets of Karachi. Februar 2010 wurde Eduardo Samán von der venezolanischen Bundesbehörde darüber informiert, dass der Vorstand der PSUV ihn vom Amt des Handelsministers abgelöst habe. Samán war in Venezuela bekannt als Minister, der sehr enge Beziehungen zu den revolutionären Kräften unterhielt und die Probleme und Sorgen der arbeitenden Menschen kannte. Er war bei den ArbeiterInnen sehr beliebt, weil er die Arbeiterkontrolle in Fabriken wie La Gaviota im Bundesstaat Sucre vorantrieb. |
By Pierre Villeret (PCF et CGT 93) Décidée au lendemain de la grève interprofessionnelle du mardi 12 octobre, une manifestation a été organisée par la CGT 93, le jeudi 14 octobre, dans le but de fédérer les nombreuses bases syndicales ayant reconduit la grève et prolonger la puissante mobilisation de mardi dernier. Cette manifestation a permis de mesurer la grande combativité qui s'exprime à travers le département. La mobilisation a dépassé les attentes des organisateurs. | | |
