What Is The Tobuscus Audience Doing In James Cameron's Pocket?

If you follow Toby Turner (aka tobuscus) on Youtube you will notice that his audience finds itself in all sorts of awkward places at the start of his videos, but I don't know if we have ever been in an odd spot like the pocket of director James Cameron before. And what the heck is Tobuscus doing hanging around with the famous director of Titanic and Avatar?



If you follow Toby Turner on Twitter, or any number of the other bigname youtubers like Phil DeFranco, MysteryGuitarMan, Nigahiga, you would have seen that they tweeted about meeting Cameron and Olga Kay and Shane Dawson tweeted pictures with him. It sounds like it was a pretty cool night. If you want to follow James Cameron on Twitter, he is @JimCameron. He just started tweeting on Friday and he's already got 35,000-plus followers. I took a look at some of the people Cameron is following and he started following actor Tom Arnold before he followed Barack Obama - how does Arnold rate that? lol.

Olga Kay Talks With James Cameron

You can always count on Olga to get a picture or video of stuff like this. She filmed a bit of her conversation with James Cameron where they talk about her being a juggler and coming to the U.S. Just wish she had gotten a little bit more.

Josh Groban Sings Kanye West Tweets

On the Jimmy Kimmel Live television show, singer (and Oscar and Grammy nominated) Josh Groban appeared to promote what will no doubt be remembered as THE album set of the new milennium. Similar to the incredible cultural explosion in the early 1960s when the Beatles first appeared on the Ed Sullivan show, many will remember where they were when they first heard Groban's electrifying rendition of the tweets of Mister Showbiz himself, Kanye West. You may want to grab a box of tissues to have them handy as Groban wrings the emotion from such tweets as "Do You Know Where To Find A Marble Conference Table?" - I'm sorry, I can't continue writing as I am overcome with emotions myself. I feel it in the pit of my stomach, or it may be that burrito I just ate.

DaveDays Heading To Melbourne Australia For Youtube Gathering

Looks like DaveDays is confirming that he will be in Australia for the Youtube Gathering being held in Melbourne January 22, 2011. Dunno about the Aussie accent though Dave.

Josh Sundquist Preps You On Twitter For Math Nerds

I was just on Twitter frittering away some time that I should have been using blogging or something equally unconstructive when I saw that iJustine had tweeted that her followers "should check this funny video out" and I, the dutiful IJ fan, quickly clicked the link for the video below called "Twitter For Math Nerds". You should check it out too because it is good.



The video is from JoshSundquist and you have to agree that it is clever. I don't know how but I somehow started following Lady Gaga. You better watch out or you'll be next!

I was going to reply to iJustine right away saying that the video was great and thanks for tweeted the link, but according to Josh's charts that would be super creepy. So thanks Josh for helping me out from seeming like I was macking on IJ. I already have enough court orders, cease and desist orders and restraining orders, but I digress.

I wasn't familiar with Josh or his Youtube channel (follow the link above to sub), but I found out he's got 58K subscribers and he posts alot (about 5-6 times this past week) so for that kind of effort and because I liked this video, I'm subscribing to his channel. Maybe he'll have some sort of tutorial soon about how to pick hot blonde youtubers. Oh, there I go again. I can imagine IJ already filling out the restraining order paperwork. Facebook Explains Their New Email System

In case you haven't heard, social-networking conglomeration Facebook has just announced a new email-type thingy (yep, that's the technical jargon) that some computer types are wetting themselves because it is supposedly a "Gmail killer" and now Facebook will soon own the world. Until Google or someone else comes up with something better next month.

How will it work you ask? Well, watch the clip with the nice Facebook people and try not to notice the subliminal messages saying: "Mark Zuckerberg is cool and actually a standup guy and nevermind what they told you in that movie".



It all looks fairly straightforward and may be interesting, but as always, lets see what it looks like when we actually have access to it before we hail it as the tech innovation of the new millenium or the next Google Knol (what? You don't even remember the Knol?)

There are already some who think it might take out Twitter because of the instant-messaging aspect, but let's give it a bit of time to ferment and let our friends in the nerd herd play with it befre deciding.

Of course as soon as the accounts become available everyone will be slamming it as inadequate because of this or that, but secretly wanting one. Remember the hubbub about the iPad? Some excitement along with a collective "meh", but then became a massive success for Apple. I'll keep an eye on it and you probably should too.

Brazil's FELIPENETO About To Join Top 100 Most Subscribed

Don't know how this channel snuck up the charts so fast, but it looks like Felipe Neto's felipeneto channel is going to be bumping a few of the English-language Youtube channels down the ranks.



I did watch this video and although I didn't understand most of what he said (I did hear "Big Bang Theory" and "hashtag" lol), I can see why Felipe's channel would get popular. He's a good-looking guy and the video is edited well. He seems to have a lot of confidence and I like the style - did he steal MysteryGuitarMan's sunglasses? The video was just posted yesterday and already has 242K views, so there's a HUGE audience watching.

He only has 24 uploaded videos at this point but almost every one has at least one-two million views (58 million total views - so averaging more than 2 million a video, none-too-shabby) and his channel itself has garnered 12,017,409 views. That shows there is a LOT of interest in this guy who joined Youtube in May of 2006 but only started posting videos in April 2010. That is a FAST rise! He's also got 845,000 Twitter followers: @felipeneto.

He has a 2nd channel called felipenetovlog with another 148,000 subs and that one only started at the end of May 2010. Keep an eye on this guy's channel. It will be only a matter of time before he's in the middle of the Top 100 and looking at moving even higher.

How To Find The Twitter Account Of Your Favorite Youtuber

This is a list of the Twitter accounts of most of the Top 100 Most Subscribed Youtube accounts and individuals. I'm pretty sure it's accurate, but I wasn't sure how to present it - alphabetically? But who has the most Twitter followers? (I'm pretty sure that would be iJustine). But I thought I would just list them by where they rank in subscribers. That's a problem too because there is some fluctuation, with folks moving up and down. If I've blatently missed someone (I apologize), let me know and I'll get them on the list.

Most of this information can be found on each person's channel, but I thought it might be handy to have all of the addresses in one spot. There are lots of Twitter accounts of other youtubers not listed who are VERY active and connecting with their followers who should be included even if they are not in the Top 100, but this list will be updated as we go. If you cannot find someone on the list it could mean they either don't have a Twitter account (doubtful) or they are not in the Top 100. I'm not discriminating against those without a large subscriber base, it would be impossible to list everyone who is on Youtube by their Twitter account, so I'm drawing the line somewhere. As always, you can usually find the Twitter (and other information about a channel), on the channel, so that's where I would look first.

Movies Suck When You Go With Jussttom

I've been following this guy for a while now and I think you might like his latest video (or not, I don't really care lol) His name is Tom Francisco and goes by jussttom on Youtube. He sorta has a DeFranco vibe that he keeps getting ribbed for, but check out what he has to say.



Tom has been on Youtube for a while and according to one of his earlier videos, this is just his latest incarnation. He and his buddies used to do some JackAss type of stuff because afterall, it's always funny when your buddies hurt themselves.

He started this channel and has gathered about 7300 subscribers and also made it into the Youtube Partnership program around mid-August 2010.

Somehow I stumbled across his channel awhile back and started watching his videos from his very first one (a word to the wise - Bradshaw may be creeping your channel. If you see comments left by DellBoy010, that's me). Tom's first videos were weak, but that's to be expected, but he got stronger with his delivery and posted a number of videos that were interesting.

He mentioned that he just started a Facebook Fan Page for his channel, that's at Jussttom's Facebook Page (while you're checking out his facebook page, don't forget to click on mine as well... it's just over there... on the right. I'll wait right here while you check it out...

Also, Tom needs some more Twitter followers, so if you want to stalk him over there too, his Twitter is @justtom.

Hot Librarian Alli And One Year Ago On CTFxC

Charles Trippy starts today's CTFxC vlog with a stern warning not to fall for any phishing scams which is good advice - there's lots of people out there trying to scam you, so what you should do is send all your banking information to me at... yes, I'm kidding, but if you are approached online for your info, MAKE SURE IT'S LEGIT!



And yes, that first shot of Alli when she wearing Charles' glasses made her look like a hot librarian lol. Something about a girl with big beautiful eyes who wears glasses...

And loved the chinese firedrill at 2:45 where Alli and her dad ran around the car at the stoplight and then jumped back into their seats in the car. I haven't done that in years. If you saw that, would you do it? I am so going to do that when I get a chance. And that indoor golf simulator does look awesome like Charles says when they stop by to see his sister Melissa.

That great painting that Charles points out is obviously from the movie Caddyshack (a true classic!) I read that Bill Murray has a copy of that painting.

On the way home after mama Speed's birthday celebration, Charles mentioned that one of the people on Twitter told him that they need to go back and watch the video they uploaded one year ago and compare where they are now with then. So, by making use of the YouTube time machine, here's CTFxC one year ago.



Yup, that's them back on November 7th, 2009. They were still in Spain! Charles was talking about their website InternetKilledTelevision.com and how they had just opened the site's online store and the CTFxC maniacs were all over it and the website was a little sluggish because of the traffic. It was funny seeing Alli talking about her hair in this one and the one from yesterday when she got it clipped.

"Who's Katie Price? Does Anyone know who that is?"

Wow, here it is a year later and EVERYONE knows who Katie Price is. LOL at Charles for not knowing about her, but then again a lot of people didn't know Price a year ago.

He also asked about why it's called soccer in the USA and football (or futball) elsewhere. I think it was because when it developed in the States, their organization was called the "Association" and that got shortened to assoc - soccer. I read that years ago, but I could be wrong about the origins of the word. We may need to call HotForWords for a ruling. And, yup, Marina has a video explaining all about HotForWords: Soccer or Football?.

And they were just starting the Twitter accounts. Hard to believe it was just a year ago that Twitter sort of blew up right?

So, should I keep showing their videos from a year ago? Should I make it a thing? I sound like Wheezy Waiter saying that lol. I don't know if it's a thing yet or not (explosion!)

Natalie Tran Is Creeping Your FaceBook Page

I always like seeing Natalie Tran (aka communitychannel) in my inbox but I'm going to have to make sure I don't have her stalking my Facebook page - good thing she's rejected my friend request for the umpteenth time (um, I mean, she must have missed seeing my request), but Natalie has been trolling the FaceBook pages of her "friends" according to this video.



See? You broke your leg, and Natalie is liking that news? What a meanie! Actually, if you want to join her FaceBook fan page, there's the link: facebook/communitychannel. Natalie's got 110,000 fans on Facebook? No wonder she's been awol on Youtube with all the creepin' that allows her lol.

Actually she's been busy doing other stuff but she mentioned something about a new project, so I'll keep an eye out for that and will report it here as soon as she posts anything.

Of course there's her obsession with chocolate money which we used to get in our Christmas stockings. We never got one of those big, honking coins the size of dinner plate that she's waving around in the video. Think I could convince her to part with it? Nah, I don't think so either.

Her lame excuse for not posting too many videos is that some random sick woman (with a quasi-demonic voice) hacked up some ebola-like illness on her while riding the train gave her something that made her sick. Best line in this video had to be" And that makes her the 7th woman this year who I've contracted something from. Take that as you will." lol, epic veiled lesbian joke.

I missed out on Karen's Twitter shout outs! I'm subbed to her spricket24 YouTube account and that's how I found out that she had planned to give random shout outs to her Twitter followers. Check out the lucky ones below who got mentioned in her video:



I am following (some would claim stalking) Spricket on Twitter, but somehow that wily redhead gave me the slip. I guess some of the other people following her on Twitter kept demanding she give shout outs in one of her videos and she did! And I missed it (insert sad face here).

She has replied to me before on Twitter (usually in the form of a cease and desist letter, but I digress) but usually she replies to most of the people who tweet her. She's cool like that.

Kimmi Smiles With An Update & Her Team Beard Supernote

Have to admit that I think kimmitalks (or Kimmi Smiles) is just the cutest. She seems genuinely happy to be making YouTube videos. Take a quick look at the following:



It does sound like she is going to be busy for the next little while and will have to space out her future videos because of school and that's okay. Nothing wrong with concentrating on doing well in school. When she does post the video about surviving the upcoming zombie apocalypse, I'll be sure to include it here too.

I had thought that I was already subbed to her YouTube channel but found out I wasn't (fixed that just now) but I was following her on Twitter (she's at KimmiSmiles on Twitter). I started following her there after I posted about her & davedays on BlogTV in July, but somehow I didn't sub to her channel - but like I said - fixed now.

And in case you somehow missed it, Kimmi and Dave made a great video called Olive You about a month ago and available at iTunes (go buy it now - RIGHT NOW!)

Have to admit I just about busted a gut laughing at Tim's Dad right at the beginning of this video. Gotta set the record straight "There's a lot more than THAT!" lol. Make sure you check out his channel at theTimothyDeLaGhetto.



But after that it gets interesting as we get to see the delicious andreaschoice in her bedroom. Is there a more photogenic girl on Youtube, I ask you? If you don't know her, she's one of the top make-up gurus - so girls, let her work her magic so you look like that. Nice bedroom too, but this video is about as close as you or I are ever gonna get to being in Tim's place sittin' on her bed.

Dunno about that "Hurricane Simulator" thing he tried, but it would have been better if someone with a lot of hair did it, like andreaschoice. Can you imagine the wind blowing her hair all over? She would probably still look good with a windswept look lol. tim kept looking around like "So, when does this ride start anyway?" Funny at the end when they're eating and they look over and see two other dudes and he says "Tiiim... and Riiick" like it's odd that you would see an Asian guy and a Black guy eating together. Wonder what those other two guys were thinking too.

Taryn Southern Dances Because She Hit 10K Twitter Followers

I have absolutely NO reason to tell the lovely Taryn Southern not to dance and I am not about to start now. Taryn just hit the 10,000 mark on her Twitter account (that's @TarynSouthern for those who are missing out). Below Taryn busts a move:



Which begs the question - what can we get her to do when she hits 20,000 Twitter followers? Sorry, but my mind drifted into naughty territory there, Taryn. If you don't know who she is (What?! How?), Taryn has been on YouTube for about 3 years and has done some vids with several folks from The Station, but you can find out more about her over at Wikipedia because she has her own page there (Taryn Southern at Wikipedia). How many of you can boast that?

Brittani Louise Taylor And Shout Out Sunday

I do get a kick out of Brittani Louise Taylor's Shout Out Sunday segment she has each week. Basically it's a chance for Brittani to respond to viewer questions posed to her by viewers via the comments section of her videos, on Twitter, and FaceBook etc. She does try to keep in touch with her fans and answers some questions.

She even stops by blogs like this one from time to time and left a comment on the post I did about her last video called Justin Bieber And Brittani Louise Taylor Are Engaged? (take a look! She left a comment. Do I sound giddy enough? lol).

Pee-wee Herman Tweeted About This Tequila Singing Bird

I was on Twitter and one of the people I follow is Pee-wee Herman and he tweeted the link to this cockatiel named Spike who sings the song "Tequila" that Herman made famous again in his movie Pee-wee's Big Adventure from back in

Here's the scene from the movie where Pee-wee wanders into the biker bar and runs into a little bit of trouble. "SHHHH!!! I'm TRYing to use the PHONE!!"

I'm Such A Fanboy At Heart lol

Sometimes I just have to laugh at myself. I get so giddy when when someone famous, or sort of famous, replies to me on Twitter or YouTube. Most of the famous are simply people who through luck, determination and talent have been raised in our collective consciousness. They still put their pants on one leg at a time, although I don't wanna know how Lady Gaga slips into her weird outfits.

I just got a tweet from a Youtuber after tweeting that I had done a post on this blog about her new channel. All she said was "thanks for the kind words :)" but it brought a big smile to my face. I am such a geek lol.

It's just the social networking doing it's thing, allowing us to connect (some might say intrude lol) on the lives of people that we would never have the opportunity to interact with. I got a "LOL" from Tom Cruise to a lame joke I made a while back and have tweeted with movie star Muriel Hemingway and others, who have taken the time to reply to my (sometimes gushing) comments. I can be a fanboy just like everyone else.

That said I also like just getting tweets from friends and co-workers and usually feel the same exhilaration from getting a witty retort to something I tweeted. I guess I'm kinda olda old school and still amazed that there actually are people out there on there InterWebs and that they do read the shite I tweet and blog about.

Blogmeister (Blogmistress?) Jessica Knows Plumbing & YouTube

Jessica Gottlieb is someone I follow on Twitter and I spotted that she had just uploaded the above video to YouTube, so I thought I would surprise her by reviewing it. Jessica is actually a blogger herself, and her blog at jessicagottlieb.com where she gets to rant/cajole/answer any number of topics. She also has a YouTube channel (link above), and currently has 103 subs. She has posted about 60-70 videos in the last year, with most posted within the last 6 months. That's showing a lot of dedication and I think given some more time, Jessica should be able to get more subscribers on YouTube as well.

The video shows what you can do to remedy the situation that could occur when you dump a bunch of rice or just about anything down the kitchen drain. Ya gotta love a woman who knows how to fix her own plumbing problems, and is willing to jump in there and get it done herself. Who needs some sweaty dude flashing butt cleave lurking under your sink?

I took a look at some of her other videos and the one below she descibes her experience attending VidCon (and being mistaken for the mother of
Ben Hughes from "ObviouslyBenHughes"). Very cool that she went to the L.A. event and hopefully I'll see her at the next one.



One thing that really raised Jessica's stock in my book is that she mentioned she was subbed to Wheezy Waiter who, if you follow Bradshaw's Blog, you know that he's also one of my personal favorites on YouTube.

Jessica can also be followed on Twitter at JessicaGottlieb where she has over 15,000 followers. So if you follow Jessica on Twitter, you should probably also sub to her on YouTube and get her subscriber numbers up to where they should be!

Wheezy Waiter Teleports Home

About dang time that Wheezy Waiter finally put up a new video. He was having so much time having chuckles and giggles in L.A. for VidCon that he almost forgot about us, but lucky for us (mostly lucky for him), he blinked himself, almost in an I Dream Of Jeannie-like fashion back home to Chicago. Actually I guess it would properly be called "I Dream Of Wheezy", but the though of Wheezy wearing a harum suit... well, I really don't want to plant that image in your brain.

Also, he mentions that he wants to present next time if there is a VidCon 2.0 (that would be AWESOME) and tells John & Hank Green that he is putting his name forward, I guess to do a Question and Answer thingy. Expect explosions and a lot of winks. If he's going to be on the menu (sorta sounds like we would be eating Wheezy - I get a drum stick!), I'll definitely be attending. Both Hank and John Green have been quoted as saying they would like to put on another VidCon (Yea!) even though this experience was very tiring.

One person I sort of expected to see upon Wheezy's return was Ty The Regular Guy, but after all the havoc he created in the last video by unbuttoning his collar (Ty can morph into such a wild man in Wheezy's absence), Ty probably cleared out just before Wheezy blinked home.

In case you don't know, Wheezy also tweeted that he was leaving his job and was going to be doing videos fulltime (awesome) and recently crossed the 100K subscriber level.
